- A video showing the basics of setup with the HRI-200 and the DR-1X repeater. HRI-200 was purchased at www.gigaparts.com and the repeater was purchased direct from Yaesu under the current repeater promotion.
This video is a real help to others setting up Wires X. Great job . Part 2 hopefully soon

For UDP ports, you can use UPnP enabled in both router and software and it will work as a charm by itself!

Eric am setting up an HRI-200 right now. Am getting NG on Node Control port check. I have my IDs but it wont populate my details when i enter it. Am setting without the setting for now? do i really need a radio for that port?
Hi Eric, I have the dr1x "wires ready repeater. I noticed you hooked up the hri 200 to the repater directly. I'm looking in the manual and it is saying to set up a node using the 400 or ft2dr. Where do I find instructions for setting up the node directly on the repeater? Thanks for any help . -Cory
it comes with the instruction manual for the hri-200. setting that up with an FTM 400 is only for personal use at home the wires X ready on the repeater just means it has the proper firmware that's it you still need a hri-200 for the repeater
My HRI 200 cd with manual only mentions attaching to ftm 400 or other radios. Does not mention hooking to the repeater. I'll search the Yaesu site and see what I can find. By attaching hri 200 to repeater/computer/internet on site I am effectively setting up a node at the repeater site right? Thanks.
+iamcoryhughes the ftm400 and hri200 is considered a "node" but the hri200 with dr1x is Considered a "repeater" check on wiresx.com website or go to yaesu site and on the digital page shoukd be a link to wires X website. should tell you there.
When i installed that software, the software is can see Serial numbar of my node, but asking DTMF and room numbars. how can i get this numbars? thanks
I’m confused with Wires X. Why the need for additional hardware to connect to the internet? I can do the same thing on Dstar with a single radio.
have you done a video of setting up the software for the hri-200 as im having no end of problems with getting it to work i have +c.user and roomid ok but i cannot get +c.user any suggestions
Do I understand correctly that I need a 2nd radio, an HRI-200, and a new repeater at my home to use Wires-X? Knew there was a reason I’m a D-Star guy. One radio, done! Your channel is great. I subscribe. My comments concern only Wires-X. What a Yaesu profit scheme - need 3 more pieces of equipment to use Wires-X. I’ll let you guys buy the equipment. I’ll buy the stock instead. :)
Bob Garvin you can use a single radio at your home to talk to a fusion repeater. Or, you can get an hri200 and connect it to a compatible radio, now you don't need a repeater, you can go through the internet from your radio at home
Bob Garvin but you do not need a repeater at your house to use wires x.. Just a radio, or if no repeater in range, an hri200 connected to your radio
Have you worked with the DR-2X yet?
