Hi Cam, Thanks for review. I did a review last week on valve core removing deflator type. One of my followers recommended the itech deflator so it was good to see your review Cheers Out There Touring
thanks for the honest review Cam. we had the valve core removal gauges, 2 off wify did one one side i did the other, worked good. now we use the indeflate. fast and easy, never had an issue with the chucks.
I hear you Bro. I bought the Campboss and after too many failures (and buyers regret), hesitantly bought the iCheck ones for the same reason, I loved their TPMS so thought I would give them a go. Couldn't be happier. Great review and can concur with everything you said about these devices. Was curious about the other types of devices so happy to hear your thoughts on these. Cheers👍👍
Hi Cam I noted when you we’re screwing on the valve, there was some sort of sleeve that seemed to protect the valve stem ? Nb great review by the way Cheers
Great review Cam. I’ve got the Staun deflators set at 25 psi, was going to get a second set so I could have them at 16 psi just for the convenience, I’ll be buying the Icheck now after watching this 👍
Mate lots of informative content. I couldn't disagree with you more about the indeflate though. I've found it amazing. I've tried the other styles and the indeflate has consistently been quicker, easier and more accurate. I guess I've been lucky and not experienced your difficulties clipping the chucks on.
Oh no! I've just bought another brand (Staun 4 pack) on special at the big snake camping store for about the same price you quoted. I graduated from a Kings Kwicky, one at a time deflator. The Stauns don't have the pressure settings on them. Straun says they're factory set to 18psi which is my go-to pressure for most sand work. I'll see how they go next time I get onto the beach. I may have to "re-gift" the Staun set.
See how you go with them. Like I said the stauns are a really good product too! If you’re not planning to adjust to different pressures on the go, just dial them in at home on the driveway and leave them set forever!
Hey buddy, wasn’t gunna watch this video initially, have seen plenty about deflators but glad I did, very informative, great product i reckon, I’ve got the indeflate, lov it, stand around and do other things while deflating, no more bending down, not as quick as other products but no bending, not cheap yes but worth it for healthy knees , thanks for sharing brother
Used similar, stuck with the Indeflate 4 line setup. Never had any issus with keeping them tidy, but I put easy velcro style wrapovers on each section, was using reusable zip ties but lost a couple, been mint ever since. After going to a 4x4 truck now, I've gone to the Tyre spider, running an Endless air setup in the truck and the ability to set pressures and be able to switch off lines to the front and continue to inflate the rear, makes it a great setup for what I need. I mean at the end of the day, everybody has a different requirement, for me those two options were great with a bad back, super easy to use, hell, back in the day, a stick was good enough with a gauge to check lol
thanks for the review Cam, Its my birthday in a week so i bought 2 x units for myself... cheers for the discount code too mate. keep up the great honest reviews
So with the indeflate you can swap out the valve on the bottom with a 1/4 bsp nitto fitting which eliminates that problem with the tyre chuck. Where an indeflate or any tyre spider (which they are easy to make yourself for about half the price of the maxtrax unit) is if your running a big compressor you eliminate the schrader valve restriction. But nothing beats an engine driven or PTO compressor and CTI, flick a switch and adjust pressures on the fly.
Yeah I’ve seen people replace the tyre valve on the bottom of the indeflate with nitto fittings. Work better for inflation, but I guess you’d need an inline ball valve to control deflation- or it would just dump all your air out. Surprised maxtrax dont sell them like that in the first place.
@@WildTouring yeah I just put a ball valve then a male nitto, makes it faster to deflate as well vs using the sliding collar. Funnily enough kings make one now which had a nitto fitting and inline ball valve. 60 bucks as well, great value
Cheers for the review, has helped me with my final decision for tyre deflating. I’m still torn between the Oircom or Icheck TPMS, having issues finding a comparison video.
I've had both, and both are really good units, you can't go wrong with either. (My discount code 'wild', actually works for Oricom.com.au too) My 2 cents; Both can no do 10 tyres off the one unit, are wireless (solar powered), easy to use and reliable. I like the screen on the Oricom - background is black so there's no reflection in full sun. But I run the iCheck because the offroad mode is really useful for me (you can preset the low pressure alarm to a lower value in the offroad mode so that the unit doesn't think you have a flat tyre are beep at you when you've deflated your tyres for unsealed tracks).
@@WildTouring Thankyou for your reply. You have cleared up what I was having trouble finding details on (the Offroad part), I could see ICheck had the function but couldn’t see if Oricom had the same. I agree the Oricom screen does seem to look crisper. With the extra function now confirmed as only being in the ICheck, ICheck it will be. I did like that Oricom came in a 6 pack which meant I have all tyres inclsuing 2 spares covered but will go the ICheck 5 and buy an extra one Many thanks
I bought the indeflate. Used it once and it never sealed properly around the valves. Never used again. I like the ARB deflator but there’s always. The issue in sand (or bulldust) of introducing debris into the valve. I’ll be checking out these ones for sure. Can just leave them in the glove box.
Thanks Cam have been considering these for a while, you pushed my mind over the edge and am now expecting a set. Yep took advantage of your code too, so thanks twice!
I like this review Cam, I have the Staun's and I also have two sets, painstakingly set to two pressures that I still check with a gauge post deflation due to OCD. The Campboss set you had looked to be set above 20psi which might reflect your 23 psi reading, but as 1 failed to achieve target pressure the net result is less than favorable. I was about to mentally disagree with you about buying two sets of the iCheck until you mentioned towing and then it made complete sense. The price is similar as Staun's but the laser etching accuracy of the iChecks, seems to put them a level above
Good video, I got the campboss. First time I used them they let down to 16 when I had approx 18 set. So now I always set them about 20-22 and do the last few PSI via the dial gauge I use to check pressures Not overly impressed with them, but they are handy. I might check out these iCheck ones (at a cheaper price too)
Cheers mate, I wouldn't have been too worried if they were only a couple of PSI off. But mine always randomly stop well short of set pressures! Havn't had any dramas like that with the iCheck, and yeah like you said, a better price point too!
Good review Cam, been a while since I commented... I got the pressure monitor and will get a set of these as well. Thanks for the review, very informative - Peter V.
@@WildTouring Hey Cam, got a set and used them today at Binningup. I love 'em too made airing down so much easier and quicker. Thanks again for the review - Peter V.
Hey mate - good vid. I just got an Indeflate and from having had a basic manual system before I love it. Yes bully but very accurate and flexible ie can use for pumping SUP’s bikes etc and yes slower inflation but doing 2 at once so same net time. Good comparison.
Do u have the screw on valve at the end of ur compressor like whats found on a kings compressor or the clip on tyre chuck like cam used in his clip. (The silver arb chuck).
Cheers Cam great review. I have the ARB valve remove deflator, very accurate. But just recently I have had a bit of trouble getting the valve to grip onto the stem. Now whether it's getting old (I've had it ten yrs plus) or the valves need replacing I'm not sure. But after watching your review, I think I'll have to seriously consider investing in a set of the i check deflators. Great review... Cheers Mark...
Cheers Mark, ten years is a pretty good run, got to be happy with that! My cheapy one is probably not far off that either actually now that I think about it. You can't knock them, they are fast and they work well! But the iCheck deflators are just easier.
Cheers Cam, just ordered a set using your code 👍 I've got a set of Stauns & the Indeflate, and love both. I hate using the indeflate to air down though, as you said, it is bulky, but is easier than the EZ Deflator on the knees. Inflating though, I love it. Love my Stauns, but did wish I could adjust. I wasn't sold on Campboss. Could be a personal thing with disliking A4A, and the price of those being so much more than the Stauns - and now these. I'll have one set to the beach, and one set to gravel & corrugations when I head up DHI & Quobba.
Yeah fair enough! When i posted a video on them last year, roughly half the comments were from people happy with them, and half had similar issues to me. So there's definitely sets that are more accurate.
Hi Cam, Your TPMS is obviously the type that is inside your tire rather than the little screw on ones on the valve. How do you find them with connection and roughly how much did the tire shop sting you to put them in? Cheers mate
Nah it’s external, they’re the black iCheck sensors you can see me screwing on between tests. No dramas with connection on car or van- but I am using the range extender.
Hey Cam great video as always. Interestingly, I’ve only had great experiences with the Campboss deflators. Out of the packet 3 were bang on and 1 needed a slight adjustment to match the others. I’ve not had the stopping short issue you’ve experienced either. Matt
I felt a bit deflated after watching this, so I HAD to grab another beer. I'm using some cheapo ebay jobs, have one lot set at 25 and the other to 15. No etchings so set 'em up on a preset tyre and locked them in. They do the job for us. We mainly use the 25's for the corrugated gravel roads. Good review Cam. Cheers mate edit, just saw your short teasing Pete, haha
Haha cheers Don 😂 Thats what I'll probably be doing, one set at 16psi for the beach, and the others to 25psi for gravel. Haha yeah Petes a good sport!!! 😂😂
Tyre valves are designed to be installed once or few times not 50+ so its only a matter of time before one strips the thread or the seal let's go. Just my thinking.
Hi Cam, Great review and I hope your having a good time at the beach. I bought the iCheck deflators also but have not used them yet. I got them about a week ago. I do have a question for you. I see how to set the psi by matching the markings but since they are in increments of 5 psi how do you set them up if you want to say 12 psi or 28 psi?
G'day Harry, thanks mate! Hope you're as happy with the iCheck deflators as I am. If I wanted 12psi, I'd set them roughly halfway between 10 - 15PSI. If you are OCD like me, then you can make minor adjustments to them from there to dial them in perfectly!
Cheers mate! Yeah I think I will do a dedicated vid on them, I'd like to show how the offroad mode works - its a really good feature thats saved me a couple of times already.
Valve core removal it is then, 1 tyre at a time yet way faster same accuracy and overtime that spring will weaken or jam with dirt and become inaccurate. Just my 2 cents
Thanks for sharing Cam👍👍👍interesting that most reviews on those products are the same with the iCheck being the leader and a common theme with the most expensive brand 🤔🤔🤔, i have 2 x sets of Stauns, very happy with them but will be changing only for the iCheck units. Keep the great content coming 👍👍👍 Cheers Andy🍺🍺🍺
Is there any reason they went up cost wise 13.80% in just one year? Have they changed anything ? Your screenshot says $71 with your code and now it’s $81 with you code (both not inc shipping) I’m just curious why it went up nearly 15% in just a year?
I like your videos and teating products etc. Not saying they are inaccurate..but you didnt show setting the icheck delfators. So unsure if they where actually all set to 16 or various to make them look better.. again you didnt shoa setting all the campboss ones. To be fair i have a few different tyre deflators and my camp boss ones are within 3psi of the setting and pretty.good considering. I have the staun og ones, kickass ones and another generic set.I agree the manual vavle remover style are pretty spot on I havent tried the icheck. But will grab a set and have a look
I've tried 4 or 5 brands of these devices and they are 100% junk. If the Icheck works it would be a shock! I'm going to get a set, but If there is any problem, they are getting returned.
Locked them in just short of half way between 15 and 20. If you want them bang on, then you can make a minor adjustment to dial them right in after you see where they stop on the first use.
Thanks for the review mate. They seem to work great. I have never tried the indeflate type of gear but I have never really rated it. I currently use the valve removal type and it works good. But these ones might be good to have around when I’m with the kids and trying to air down aswell.
Never understood the maxtrax in deflate, by the time you set up all the hoses and hook it all up, I would have two tyres deflated with my arb valve deflator, too bulky, too complicated. Seems to me people are trying to justify the stupid price for them.
Damn Camm, i bought a set of Campboss deflaters cuz we both know tha offroad touring king designed these, they got a be a good thing RIGHT :) now ya pissed me off and the offroad king :) LOL
See how you go with them, they may work fine! When I posted a video review on them last year the comments on it from others that had purchased them suggested that probably half were happy with them, and half had similar issues to me.
Just bought a set to replace the dfl8 tyre deflators that were stolen from my car. They cost $180 and by the looks of things no better then these ones.
The maxtrax indeflate sucks. Using a clip on air chuck like what you put on ur tyres, in my experience with it doesnt seat at all like u also stated in ur video. Ive found u have to stand there and push and hold it on the valve just to get a seal. Its garbage. With those icheck deflators, i guess is an extra minute over the traditional deflator worth 70 bucks. Id also imagine driving in the bush, then hitting the beach, the icheck novelty would wear off if u have to re adjust all 4 for different terrains in one 4wding session. Looks like a decent product, but i think the traditional deflator is still the best option and has multiple "uses" on different terrains. I think the important thing here is that the indeflate by maxtrax is absolute garbage.
Yep, that was another good review. Screw on tire deflators. I check tire deflator nice product acceptable price. That the China men product is not accurate No wonder, cost here a few dollars, in OZ an arm and a leg. Do your math… maximum margin. One question do they have 2 different color in one set, to distinguish when setted for front and rear different pressure settings. Thanks and cheers
I don’t think the iCheck products are made in Australia. It’s an Australian company but I think they source their products from overseas (I could be wrong). The only deflators I am sure are made in Australia are the DFL8 which are made in Perth. I bought a set of DFL8 and they work really well but are much more expensive
Yeah as Stephen said, it’s an Australian company, but an imported product. Only come in red at the moment, as far as I’m aware anyway! But even when the locking nut is tightened at your desired setting, you can still see what pressure they’re set to.
@@WildTouring icheck price is totally acceptable for that product. Look at the other fiddle and not accurate units. 5 dollar China men quality. Na, have no problem with made in China… but suitable priced it has to be. Cheers
cam I did see you campos deflaters on youtube and they had them for sale on facebook !!! and I sent campos a message they can keep here crap !!!! they give me a message that they sent you NEW ones because they were not good is that ever happend or simple campos shit talk ????
There all a waste of money,I have been beach driving for over 40 years and use a normal valve removal tool, take the valve out do a count put the valve back in,just carry spare valves.

Tyre valves are designed to be installed once or few times not 50+ so its only a matter of time before one strips the thread or the seal let's go. Just my thinking.

Can can you get icheck at any retailer or only online. Hey what's the big sleeve you've got over your valve on the tire? Cheers
Hey Cam
Love your work , great vids 👍🏼
Can you do a vid on the TPMS you have, I’m thinking about getting one
Cheers Ramsay 👍🏼
Cheers mate! Yeah I think I will do a dedicated vid on them, I'd like to show how the offroad mode works - its a really good feature thats saved me a couple of times already.
Need to throw the Mean Mother into the mix as well.
Keep the great content coming 👍👍👍
Cheers Andy🍺🍺🍺
Cheers Andy. They are a good unit mate!
I've got my second set on the way already!
Cam, any thoughts on the mean mother deflators?
Havnt used them, I’ll just stick with the iChecks now that I’ve found something accurate and consistent!
What happened to the Icheck page? Won't load. Do you have a direct link to buy these?
www.ichecktpms.com.au/product/icheck-tpms-pro-series-automatic-tyre-deflators/
That link works 👍🏼
How do I buy these deflators through you?
Is there any reason they went up cost wise 13.80% in just one year? Have they changed anything ? Your screenshot says $71 with your code and now it’s $81 with you code (both not inc shipping) I’m just curious why it went up nearly 15% in just a year?
Man I wish I could get the icheck here in the U.S.
I have the staun og ones, kickass ones and another generic set.I agree the manual vavle remover style are pretty spot on
I havent tried the icheck. But will grab a set and have a look
I've tried 4 or 5 brands of these devices and they are 100% junk. If the Icheck works it would be a shock! I'm going to get a set, but If there is any problem, they are getting returned.
How did you set them the iChecks for 16 mate? They only have it in 5psi increments (15, 20 etc.)?
Locked them in just short of half way between 15 and 20.
If you want them bang on, then you can make a minor adjustment to dial them right in after you see where they stop on the first use.
I have the Campboss and bloody hell they were hard work so I bought the ichecks and they are way easier .
Totally agree!
I'd love to own a set but they don't ship to Canada!!
Well done mate. Good info for people looking at buying . ❤️🍺🇦🇺👍
Cheers mate!
Thanks for the review mate. They seem to work great. I have never tried the indeflate type of gear but I have never really rated it. I currently use the valve removal type and it works good. But these ones might be good to have around when I’m with the kids and trying to air down aswell.
No worries mate! Yeah you can't knock the valve removing deflators - they're quick and reliable. But the iCheck is just really convenient!
"Never tried it, but never rated it"
Well you really sound like someone i should look to for recommendations and guidance. 🤡🤣
@@Hillbilly973 had nothing better to do than scroll through comments and try and troll 😂 🤡
I'm not trolling, I'm commenting. 👍
@@Hillbilly973 feel more manly now you got that out then?
Never understood the maxtrax in deflate, by the time you set up all the hoses and hook it all up, I would have two tyres deflated with my arb valve deflator, too bulky, too complicated. Seems to me people are trying to justify the stupid price for them.
Yeah Its not for me either!
@@WildTouring No worries Cam,thanks for the reply, ill give em a go...
Just bought a set to replace the dfl8 tyre deflators that were stolen from my car. They cost $180 and by the looks of things no better then these ones.
I’ve always been curious about the dfl8 deflators, have heard good things about them. Interested to hear your feedback after running both!
A year later... but just got a set with this code 😅
I paid $99 for a set of campboss. Went in the bin after one use. Absolute shite. He continues to sell them.
They look like a blatant copy of the Staun's which I have been using for well over 10 years..
Yep same result with camp boss here. Too unreliable to be used
Disappointing hey! Still rate the iCheck deflators if you’re looking at replacing the campboss 👍🏼
Cam don't buy a second set give the mean mother a go, same laser etched settings
Heard good things about the Mean Mothers too, but i know the iChecks work really well. So i'll stick with them!
Cheers
Moorflate all the way...
cam I did see you campos deflaters on youtube and they had them for sale on facebook !!! and I sent campos a message they can keep here crap !!!! they give me a message that they sent you NEW ones because they were not good is that ever happend or simple campos shit talk ????
They asked for my address to send me another set, but it never arrived and I never heard from them again.
There all a waste of money,I have been beach driving for over 40 years and use a normal valve removal tool, take the valve out do a count put the valve back in,just carry spare valves.
They are $90 now, so no thanks.
Camp boss are rubbish, terrible deflators. Will be trying out these and the camp boss will be for the bin
Let me know how you go, I'm really impressed with the iChecks.
