@@DisBlaine When my girls were younger and collected AG or 18 inch dolls, they had a doll sold in a sewing catalogue made by The Creative Doll company. I know at least with me you've helped their sales because I definitely love maplea and so does my mom. The cost ended up being more than I expected because of it coming to the US but I didn't feel cheated at all. ❤
With the exchange rate the clothing is less than the same type of outfit made by AG ? And the quality is much better. The only difference is that Maplelea doesn't include shoes or socks. You pay extra for shoes but since the fit is different and I have so many AG shoes I don't really need the shoes. I also buy AG doll shoes when they have them on clearance for good price. Not sure how much Maplelea charges for shipping because I order enough at one time to get free shipping. Is it more than AG's average $7 - $9 ?

You were correct that the sleeve on the shirt was a raglan sleeve (like a baseball shirt, where the sleeve seam goes from the underarm to the neck). In a regular shirt, the sleeve is set into an armscye that is created by sewing the front and back of the shirt together at the shoulder. A raglan sleeve makes up part of the neckline of the shirt. So happy to see the love for Maplelea on your channel. I gifted the paleontologist set to Taryn. It’s really nice! I also gifted the Sea Turtle set to Jenna. ❤ I LOVE Anna in that Charlsea outfit.
I bought a lot of Maplelea dolls and fashions this year, especially recently after the outcome of the U.S. presidential election. I have some gift cards for Maplelea that I’ll use in January before the new government changeover is in place.

I’m having similar feelings about why I’m slowly (quickly?) transitioning to Maplelea. These little cuties really have grown on me!
@ haha. I love the “honorary Canadian” title. 🤣 The good thing about Anna is she is so versatile and she’ll look good in just about anything casual or even bohemian. Charlsea has a quirky personality and she’s an artist I believe so maybe her and Anna can learn to share a wardrobe? 😉

Hi Blaine, Merry Christmas! It is Christmas Day as I watch this. I just literally opened my new Charlsea doll and the grand connections set as my Christmas present. She arrived just in time for Christmas! I love her and the outfit so much. She is my BC girl from SaltSpring Island where I have visited several times in my life. It is two ferry rides away from me and worth the trip. It’s a special little island full of artisans like glass blowers, textile artists, potters, jewelry makers and more. I once filmed a video showing off the island for a real estate friend of my Mom’s so she could use it as a promotional video. Charlsea is such a cutie and gives me warm memories of my visits there. There is a place called the Old Country Market where they have goats on the roof! It’s a popular tourist attraction. The grand connections outfit looks adorable on Ana. I will really look forward to seeing your deep dive on MapleLea dolls. I am slowly building my collection. Great brand! ☺️🥰

@@DisBlaine Well I had 3 orders really every time I put in an order they seemed to have a sale, so I purchased the deer costume, pink purse set (thank you) to go with a vintage AG pink fur trimmed coat, I think most of the Pj's not the child/adult sets, the polar bear slippers (I had the moose stuff and accessories already from older orders), those buckskin boots, another pair of the furry white boots (my older daughter wanted them too) and the bear sweater set (thank you), the Maple Forest sweater set and the scarf set to go with it, those trail blazer lumber jack boots, another pair (have 2 already) of the storm stoppers, float your boat, sail away, break the trail (thank you), 2 sets of Canuck socks, and moccasins. I have the Canadian sets already and I put in an order for another orange T shirt supporting the natives. I have that 25.00 credit so I will order more of the sweater sets now that I know they fit. I have a few already that I love, all those Canadian "outdoors" ones including all those Buffalo checks (of course I have to raised in the Buffalo metro areas). You got me hooked and I think they love me as a customer! Can't talk me into the dolls though. I wish they would revamp them all period. I would love to support them. xoxo
@ oh wow you have an entire wardrobe! They’re so precious aren’t they? It’s a lot to adjust to the dolls, especially because they are NOT photogenic. Seeing them in store made me want all of them. I think I’ve adjusted to their more realistic look compared to AG), but the clothes are good enough on AG anyway.
@@DisBlaine When my girls were younger and collected AG or 18 inch dolls, they had a doll sold in a sewing catalogue made by The Creative Doll company. They had hands shaped similar to the Maplelea only a little bit larger like AG. Its the whole body I don't care for. My girls also had a few Magic Attic dolls that were slimmer and they did not "sail" along well either. I guess we are AG, and Mattel fans after all. Another words its not just the face mold. And between my granddaughters and myself we have enough dolls to dress even though I sew too! I save that for making specific themed items or "fill ins". I just loved the Maplelea clothing. The exchange rate and low shipping costs helps too. Phew do I "talk" alot!

@@fangirl7914 the same lady who sculpted the black doll sculpted her too!! The East Asian doll was the first one I wanted. And yes she is really pretty, but it still takes an adjustment to all these molds.
Poor Brianneabelle! Maplelea has their version of a doll hospital, but she’s too funny to send in. Im kind of attached to the little nightmare now.
@DisBlaine It'd be great to see it in person, but that doesn't really seem possible unless you know someone who already has one.
Happy Holidays Blaine. I have 2 maple dolls because you showcased them on your channel. They should make you an affiliate for the brand. I am an American of Caribbean descent. It would be great if they made a Canadian doll of Caribbean descent. There is history there. Blessings to you, love your channel.

@@ladero01 I was trying to create a Makena doll I could rank higher in my collection-it worked!
Oh no, I’m sucking you into Maplelea! Truthfully you like the prettiest dolls, so it tracks. Tamika is my fave, then Leonie. Most AG collectors seem to like Saila best.
I almost went with the i spelling for Tamika but my sister goes by Meka so I went with that spelling.
@ oh I don’t mind the way her name is spelled - the way your sister spells her name is nice too, and I’m thrilled my doll has the same name 🥳
I know at least with me you've helped their sales because I definitely love maplea and so does my mom. She has dropped a lot of money on AG and feels cheated sometimes by the quality and the price was going up without the quality getting better. I didn't feel that way about mapleLea.
@@kerrysmiles I’m glad I can help people see the clothes on ag to help them decide whether to buy it. They look so cute and high quality everyone deserves some in their collection! AG has been making very specific choices with their fashion lately 🩷💜🩷

I’m looking forward to your Maplelea deep dive. I still only have Saila but I’d love to get a couple more (your AA girl is super cute as is the Asia mold girlie). The wig swap was a nice change on the boy doll. I like the Maplelea faces but they can’t share space with AG. Each looks good on their own, but not together.
Too much sewing terminology.
