Really nice to see the centrifugal governors in tone of the later motor rooms (about 14:40). Very like the ones on stationary steam engines or in old windmills.
That 1980’s Otis lift has a cool floor counter animation. Like the green on black display. The animation is very Knight Rider like. It doesn’t get more 80’s then that.
Come to kingfisher shopping centre it has lots of Otis 2000s and some thysennkrupps one of the thyssenns are abandoned there is also some secret floors
There are certain types of vintage German technology that I really like; early stationary Diesel engines, Lanz Bulldog tractors, and much more esoteric, old bakery dough mixers which were invented by the German Wilhelm Pott, a type that then became very popular in Britain. His company, Roth Erde Machinenfabrik, were taken over by Krupps, like so many others.
Loved Germany when I went in 2011 and again in I believe 2018 😁 2011 = Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Cochem, Boppard, Bonn, Moselle Valley, Cologne 2018 = Bremen and Warnemünde
I recently came across a lift that forgot which floor was which when I selected G, it took me to 1 when I selected 1, it took me to 3 when I selected 2, it took me to G when I selected 3, it took me to 2
@@DutchElevatorChannel no, it was doing the same thing when the call buttons were used on any floor when i tried to call it on the ground floor, it went to the 2nd floor so i went to the second floor, and tried to call it there, but it went to the third floor and announced it was going up (when the 3rd floor is the top floor)
What you do, you take a great big shit, you make the poo into a paste, you put it on the end of a straw then you blow it into the key hole then what you do next is you get some fanny batter, use a cotton bud to rub it into the keyhole with the poo then it slowly unlocks the motor room door.
Beno having fun again!
I guess the circular lift shaft originally had a circular lift
it probably did.

Lots of fun in Germany
*Oh no... Its lift hacking*
imagine the fun when lifts can move horizontally.
@@SamSitar Kone is working on horizontal lifts now haha
I wonder if lift engineer would get suspicious of having to remove a mystery serial cable before plugging in there own laptop.
They may think it is remote monitoring. I have seen some lifts of different types with the serial port in use to monitor it.
@@benolifts good point.
That with the mod with laptop control.
Bucking bull: You know me, I prefer the real thing. 😜
That must be a lot of fun!
9:04 TMS600!!! The classic Kone logic
That floor panel at 16:27 looks like Stannah like in Clarks Blackpool
Can you come to Bruxhall??? That would be nice!
Have you ever helicoptered a lift, going into the pit and hanging from the underside of the lift whilst it goes up.
Have you heard of Health And Safety?
Hi Beno, how can you enter the machine rooms in Germany because most of them are locked.
no comment

That failed entirely 😂
Haha no it is a good explanation on how to get into a motor room!
How on earth do you get into all those motor rooms? They can't all be unlocked! Do you or people with you have lock picking skills?
Germany always has the best quality
What about- no.

Then you visit the capital (Prague)

17:09 very nice!
What kind of range can you get with this mod.
It reaches all the way down the lift shaft. I doubt it will work much further.
Does it have a Ecodisc component.
Has the lift museum changed?

Did you ever sleep a night on top of a lift or making diner? Go camping there..
Me and Jordan were planning to sleep on top a lift, but we decided it was too dangerous.
