Google the founder of IKEA, he is very interesting. Ingvar Kamprad founded IKEA in 1943 at the age of 17, he had ADHD and Dyslexia, and would use names of people and Swedish islands he was familiar with too remember names of products even though there was no relationship to the product, this continues. I love that no matter how wealthy he became, he remained frugal, drove the same car for 20yrs, flew coach, etc…
In upper Tn today rescuers dug a family out of a mudslide. The entire house was covered in mud and broken and crumbled. They had been stuck in there for two days and they were ok! Have you looked at the westher in Asheville NC and surrounding area? Total destruction.
I had a high school math teacher that taught us, "Insurance is a gamble. You are gambling that something might happen and you will need it. The insurance company is gambling nothing will ever happen and they will keep all your premium dollars." Today, IMPO, insurance is the biggest scam going!
I agree with Katie spill the beans on Camping World. Save someone from the headaches you had, at least you can stop someone else from the stress you went through.
There are IKEA's in many other countries other than the U.S. France, Ireland, China, Germany, to name a few! The largest IKEA store is in Pasay City, Phillipines, and is 700,000 square feet! Always so much fun with the two of you! You always brighten my day!
Another great podcast Katie and Jeffrey!! I loved Leslie Jordan! Not sure what insurance you have, Katie but I've had really good experiences with Geico.
I have a great massage therapist, I go to once a month. I am like Katie that I would find a good one then they would move on. I did change to a different location and I like it much better.
You two are the Will and Grace of this generation, hands down. Was so great to hang out today, Katie's part-time job of tour guide would make her rich😉
I think we all have a distaste for insurance! It sucks! They dictate what doctors you can have and even what tests and procedures. Right down to your medications! I thought thats what you doctor is for!
Jeffrey: in reference to your generator issue: did this failure show up during the pre delivery inspection (PDI) prior to purchase, or was it a failure after buying?
I laughed so much at the story about the creepy Oompa Loompa Leslie Jordan Guy! That was so funny and that would creep me out too, Katie. Lol I live outside of Charlotte and I told my mom let’s stay away from that hotel😂😂😂😂. Love you guys! Great video as always. My doctor has always wanted me to get a massage because I carry so much tension in my body especially my neck. So thank y’all for sharing your experience with that. I’m really thinking about it now. I just love you guys together. I didn’t comment on the video where you went to the aquarium and wanted to say that looked like so much fun and I enjoyed that a lot. Enjoyed seeing Barb too! This is such a great “podcast” it is entertaining and always interesting. I even learn some things so that is always a bonus🤣😜🤣
I may have cracked the code: The Kamprad family are 3rd cousins, 5th removed of the Minnesotan Nyland clan. Their progeny later relocated to Miami. They all still play the Geflerkingurkin at their family reunions in both Sweden and the US.
"The world let you down" because you didn't get caught in a hurricane. Please. Think before you speak. Hundreds have lost their lives and thousands their homes and livelihoods.
I have family in Asheville with horrific conditions and just recently was able to talk to them. I don’t ever think Jeffery or Katie mean anything hurtful and I didn’t take it that way. They have been through many hurricanes in FL so I think they were joking about being let down. I have been so worried about my family members and this community has made me laugh which I need so much right now. I hope you don’t have family in the path of Helene and have lost a loved one. It’s been so hard to see places I always went as a child just washed away. Those places were very much a part of my life and it is devastating. The loss of life is devastating. A hurricane hitting the mountain areas is unheard of and there was nothing they could have done to even prepare for it. I hope you don’t live there. Family was able to leave the area last night to get generators and supplies. God bless them and all the people effected by the storm. Thank you Jeffery and Katie for cheering us up keeping us laughing and sharing your life with us.🥰❤️🥰
Jeffrey, I love how the facial hair looks. Not that my opinion matters, but I’m counter-acting the rude comment telling you to shave. There’s some rude grown adults here who should know better and I’m calling ‘em out! 😂
The founder of IKEA had ADHD and Dyslexia so he named things that were easier for him to remember thus the odd place names. ps. I actually love the simplicity of Ikea furniture.
27:11 Jeffrey, your complaints fall on deaf ears now. A previous administration passed the healthcare act that said you can keep your doctors??? And raised insurance premiums so much that made you have to take the "new" insurance??? It was so guttishnellbabschtik. Vote accordingly.
There is something about your voice Katie that is so soothing and warm.
Right? Broadcasting voice.
@@susanneflaherty8681 Just like Mom 🥰
I totally agree!
Thank you!! ❤
Her voice and her diction. Very elegant.
🤣🤣 The keeper of the cookies was a creeper. 😬😂
😂😂
I laughed so much when Katie said "putting together IKEA furniture will break you as a human". This episode was hilarious. Thanks
😂😂
when the instructions warn that it's a 2 person job, it's at least a 2 person job!
@@melissak8892
Yes a 2 person job
One to do the physical labor and the other one is the bsrtender/therapist
Hello Katy and Jeffrey! Looking forward to this all morning. ❤️

Oh, wow!! I had no idea. Thanks for sharing. ❤
lol.. I just posted that comment too... before I found yours.

But the real question is...have you been a good girrrl? 😂 Dear lord, I was laughing so hard at that story, while washing my dishes.
😂😂

The first time I went to Ikea I nearly had a panic attack because I didn't know how to get out.
@@MimisTreasureCottage 😂I’m sorry about your bad experience but it gave me a good giggle!
I know, me too!

Leslie Jordan was a treasure. I love his Pandemic reporting for duty check ins on IG.
I have a great massage therapist, I go to once a month. I am like Katie that I would find a good one then they would move on. I did change to a different location and I like it much better.
Just love listening to the two of y’all!! Such great context.. everyday life issues with a twist of laughter. 💛💛
Thank you! ❤
Absolutely love the new intro!!!
Jeffery did a great job on it! ❤
Watching you from Delaware.
Omg. I would be like…I don’t want cookies. THAT BAD! 😂😂😂😂
😂😂
The real question is...Did the creepy man use tongs to get the cookies out? If not, throw them ALL away! Lol
I was going to ask the same thing!😂
They are wrapped up in sealed bags in the warmer. ❤
You two are the Will and Grace of this generation, hands down. Was so great to hang out today, Katie's part-time job of tour guide would make her rich😉

Devo. The group with the tiered red hats was Devo.
Thanks!
You two are so great ❤
I LOVE ❤️ the opening page. You two are hilarious 😂 🎉 😂
Thank you! ❤
Katie, I’ve always wanted that cabinet, too lol
How about these magnetic frames? They have tons of frames that stick to the base frames. It's called Pair eye wear
❤ Your sunglasses Jeffery.
Short tumbler?
Cuz the ice cubes tumble in the glass. 😁
That’s probably what type of glass this is.
Leslie Jordan was from Chattanooga! One our best exports.

Exactly!
Placemats are for a kitchen or dining table
Who throws away when you can donate and help others and the environment? Waste not, Want not.
Later watching
I would have been afraid to eat the cookies😂
Jeffrey: in reference to your generator issue: did this failure show up during the pre delivery inspection (PDI) prior to purchase, or was it a failure after buying?
I got a pair of Maiu Jim sunglasses at Savers thrift store.
Wow! What a bargain and a find.
Ummmm. I think I would have not wanted cookies anymore! Lol.
😂😂 If the cookies weren’t that good…
❤your intro music 🎉

I would have just laughed and went along with it. It sounds more like fun than creepy.

What would have bothered me most about the creepy guy is the fact that he has access to all the room keys as an employee... Yikes!!
How about buying a Studs mata at Ikea
Katie & Jeffrey, you two are so much fun together! I love your Weekly Speakeasy!
Keep up the great videos! 👍👏👏👏
Thank you!
How will you do these when Jeffery starts traveling?
When will that be? He seems very comfy there.
