This loss isn’t just about bad coaching or poor execution Kap. It’s a symptom of a much larger, ongoing problem: ownership. The McCaskeys have been running this team into the ground for decades, and until there’s a change at the very top, nothing will improve. Look at the facts: 1. Lack of Accountability: Doug Kramer not reporting as eligible and a rookie left tackle like Amegadjie getting embarrassed repeatedly is inexcusable. Good organizations don’t allow these mistakes to happen week after week. In contrast, look at franchises like the Steelers or Ravens-consistent leadership, accountability, and discipline. 2. Poor Drafting and Development: This isn’t new. The Bears have spent years whiffing on key positions, especially the offensive line. Whether it’s Chris Williams, Gabe Carimi, or now experimenting with mid-round rookies, the lack of long-term planning shows. 3. Coaching Carousel: How many head coaches have we cycled through since 2000? From Marc Trestman to John Fox, Matt Nagy, and now this debacle under Matt Eberflus; which none have been given proper resources or been the right fit. But ownership keeps fumbling these hires. 4. Same Story for Decades: Since the Bears’ lone Super Bowl win in 1985, this team has had only six playoff wins in nearly 40 years. That’s embarrassing for a franchise in a major market like Chicago. Compare this to teams with strong ownership structures like the Patriots, who found success for two decades under a clear vision. This isn’t about a rebuild or one bad season. It’s about a broken organization that starts with ownership’s failure to hire competent leadership and build a winning culture. Fans deserve better, but nothing will change until the McCaskeys step aside and someone with a true vision takes over. Until then, we’re just stuck in this same cycle of mediocrity year after year.

What kind of an organization watches there QB walk off the field after taking a hit late in the game. Then stumbles to the bench, is clearly in too much pain to even sit upright and everyone around him ignores it? The Bears organization that who!!!
I don't understand why Caleb William fans are making all these excuses for him. He has a 4-10 record as a Bears QB. They're saying that the reasons that he is losing are because he doesn't have an offensive line, the defense is bad and the coaches are terrible. But why didn't they make these same excuses for Justin Fields last year when he was losing. Fields had the same problems as Caleb, but people wouldn't give Fields the benefit of the doubt like they're doing for Caleb Williams. Yet, Fields played well last year ( would have made the playoffs if the Bears defense hadn't given up 3 huge 4th quarter leads) inspite of NOT having all of the wide recieving talent that Caleb Williams has.
How does Ryan Poles look at some of these players and say: ‘yup that’s the guy!’ . His last 3rd rounders are: Velus, Pickens and Kiran!! Horrible assessment of talent. This team is not going anywhere with this GM.
The first 4th down was on Swift. He's soft and slow. He was stopped like he hit a brick wall from behind. A guy put his arm around his waist and took him straight to the ground like a rock drop. So that one was not Thomas Brown. Most of it wasn't it's the players.
The one guy who should be loving your ReKap is Shelton. He is the Bears whackamole on the O-line, getting knocked over on nearly every pass rush, putting instant pressure on Caleb. He has been awful the entire season. Shame on Poles for not addressing this properly in the offseason. Everyone said that Shelton was a weak blocker and he proves it every game.
Laughing stock of the league. I'm 51 yrs old. Never thought we would be this bad. We just got pushed back another 3-5 yrs behind, just in our division alone. Ridiculous!!! Another disaster on National Television!!!
Kap….Aikmen was singing praises about Poles ability to bring all the pieces together for a great Bears team! I wonder how much George paid Troy to shill for Ryan?
Can the NFL revoke their ownership? The MCCASKETS are seriously an embarrassment to the sport of football I am disgusted that this is the football team we have to root for.
Former bears fan here, if you still waste your time watching this team you are a loser lol. I picked up a couple new hobbies and couldn't be happier. Stop having millionaires who don't care about you ruin your day.
Get rid of poles. He’s the architect of this disaster. Bring in Johnson and whoever he wants for his GM and bring in saleh as DC and have continuity for years to come. This patchwork of incompetent coaching and management has to be cleaned out
This is what bad teams look like in December. I’m not sure why youre surprised. It’s a league worst OL. Improve the OL and get a competent coach and you’ll see an extremely different team. It’s hard to judge a guy who will come close to the all time sacked season. When he gets hit less, he will shine. We’ve seen team after team that improve their OL and coaches become good teams overnight. We knew this team was bad weeks ago. Let’s stop getting angry about what we should expect.
He’s still shining. I’m not worried the rumor is the bears aren’t going cheap with the coach and they didn’t take the belichek bait. They also will have the money to get any player they want.
@@JJ-zr6fu No, what kind of typical Chicago losing mentality is that? Only someone who doesnt know how to evaluate talent has most draft picks flopping🙄. Outside of the 1st round besides Kyler Gordon, Brisker and arrogantly drafting a punter in the 4th round, Ryan Poles has drafted busts. Even Darnell Wright wasn’t the best OT in that draft and he was the first OT taken. Only a Cubs fan would defend Ryan Poles🙄
You can see the results of Caleb's frustrations, holding the ball too long in order to try and make a big play. The good part of him being more emotional than Fields does have a bad side too. Not saying they should have kept Fields, they made the right move drafting Williams for sure. But Fields was almost always calm and collected even if he had to hide his frustrations from the field and press. Just pointing out the personality difference between the two. Not judging either of them.
What happen to Caleb Williams? He was throwing ball out quick in the beginning of the season and now he holds the ball too dang long. Maybe its me but if I was Caleb Williams and I was playing behind that terrible O line I would get rid of that ball and throw it away. 3 more weeks of pain
Oh yeah, maybe Poles should have made an offer to Jonathan Greenard this last offseason to give the Bears another pass rusher besides Sweat. Dude almost ended Caleb's life tonight with his 11th sack of the season. Dexter leads us with 5 sacks! I know as a team they have 30 + sacks but we all know a consistent pass rusher creates havoc besides just sacks.
Unfortunately Shane Waldron isn’t a fan of the fullback and eventually they cut Blasingame. A bad coordinator making bad decisions. This is the epitome of Bears football.
We can’t get either of those guys. Not available. Bears best option at this point is Mike Vrabel maybe. Should’ve went after Bellichick or Harbaugh in the last offseason 🤷♂️
Hey Kap! Is this what “chasing greatness” looks like? Glad we didn’t trade down and get o-lineman. Not saying Caleb is bad but building an o-line would’ve been a better move. Cos if this is what CHASING GREATNESS looks like it sucks!
Caleb is now out for himself. Somehow he's all over the consecutive throws without an interception record. That's why NOTHING goes downfield. This team is an absolute joke. Complete laughingstock of the division.
Can accuracy be taught? Caleb’s accuracy from college hasn’t translated well into the NFL. Every game this season, there are two or three throws that are off to where it would’ve been either a 1st down or a TD. That throw when Allen ran a flat route into the end zone, Caleb just air mailed it. Should his lack of accuracy be concerning 14 games into his NFL career?
He’s rattled. needed a proper coach that could take some of the nfl transition pressure off him by putting him in positions to succeed. He needed jim harbaugh.
Can’t count the guy out yet, small sample size for the most difficult position in football. In the same sense…the guy doesn’t look “generational “ I implore you to prove me wrong.
@@PurpleHaze_11 The generational stuff has been inconsistent, but there are plays he makes that not too many QB’s in the league can do…..the off schedule scramble throws. He’s also made some throws in the earlier part of the season that we haven’t seen a QB make with the Bears, ie back shoulder in between three defenders to Allen for a TD in London.
Trubisky and Fields who both had less were inaccurate and the media and fans destroyed them both. Williams has more and better and is also inaccurate yet media and fans are incapable of criticizing him and only make excuses for him by saying he's a rookie. This many games in their rookie seasons, fans and the media were screaming that Trubisky and Fields had to. Wonder why the drastic change in Chicago QB standard. False hope
Again you flip your opinion more than pancakes at IHOP 2 days ago Vrabel was your guy now he is going to NE. Second CW is having the same problems with his O line that JF had but it’s looking worse because CW can’t throw or run like JF. The biggest issue with CW and where he has not improved is even with time his accuracy even on short passes is garbage. The Bears should have traded out of one and still got CW. The commanders were locked in on Daniel’s (the guy the Bears should have drafted) and NE was locked in on Maye. You could have gotten a huge haul for the number 1 pick. Poles missed on CW and the HC and now you are going to let him hire the next head coach.
At the end of the day, Poles isn't the one playing QB, O line or defense. It comes down to players, coaching and chemistry. When Williams is pressured it's either gonna be a sack or an inaccurate throw. Maybe like 10% of the time he's gonna run for a few yards or find someone open. Moore, Allen and Odunze are watching their new QB regress throughout the season. In the last 8 games this team is averaging ~15 points a game 😂.

Yet, Fields played well last year ( would have made the playoffs if the Bears defense hadn't given up 3 huge 4th quarter leads) inspite of NOT having all of the wide recieving talent that Caleb Williams has.
@@freddiefunches69
CW is a better Passer and JF is a better Runner is the only difference that I see between the two QBs !
@@freddiefunches69 indeed you are right
How does Ryan Poles look at some of these players and say: ‘yup that’s the guy!’ .
Ur so right. Swift gets tackled by a mouse sneeze. Coulda had Barkley but nahhhh we ran to sign this fraud instead.
A Yale kid is better than an SEC,BIG TEN AND ACC OFFENSIVE LINEMAN in the 3rd round? Can’t be. Poles got to go!
What about the big misses by CW,that guy can't hit the broad side of a barn.
Laughing stock of the league. I'm 51 yrs old. Never thought we would be this bad. We just got pushed back another 3-5 yrs behind, just in our division alone. Ridiculous!!! Another disaster on National Television!!!
I saw some lady wearing an orange "Chasing Greatness" shirt at costco this week. I just laughed and laughed...
Why? Chasing is all we can do. Not achieve
Yep this is what chasing Greatness look like
Kap….Aikmen was singing praises about Poles ability to bring all the pieces together for a great Bears team! I wonder how much George paid Troy to shill for Ryan?
I thought George was cheap. Can’t be cheap and pay someone to say your praises
Mckaskeys need to be forced to sell.
Can the NFL revoke their ownership? The MCCASKETS are seriously an embarrassment to the sport of football I am disgusted that this is the football team we have to root for.
Halas, Ditka, Belichek, Shanahan, Vrabel....can't fix this. Ownership has to die off. Unfortunately they are all gonna live to 150 years old🤦
Something was said about the Lions
Remember fields was the problem not saying Caleb ain’t a stud but the #1 problem in Chicago was not qb position !
Caleb is straight Vulva. Runs scared. Can't hit easy short or long throws. Poles is incompetent. Poles should be gone at 12:01 am on Black Monday.
Former bears fan here, if you still waste your time watching this team you are a loser lol. I picked up a couple new hobbies and couldn't be happier. Stop having millionaires who don't care about you ruin your day.
Just a horrible organization from the top down
Get rid of poles. He’s the architect of this disaster. Bring in Johnson and whoever he wants for his GM and bring in saleh as DC and have continuity for years to come. This patchwork of incompetent coaching and management has to be cleaned out
Thank you kap for saying what we all saw. Makes me sick. They’re a joke and NFL needs to force this team to sell.
Doug Kramer, a Ryan Poles draft pick🤢 Kiran Amegadjie another Ryan Poles draft pick🤮
Both somehow from Hinsdale Central. Sure great to get local kids, but doesn't matter if they weren't any good in college!
You do know most draft picks flop right? Poles has already won last draft with Caleb and Rome and Taylor
@@JJ-zr6fu won what ? Certainly not W’s in their record 🤔
Rinse… wash…. And repeat 🔁…. 🐻⬇️
Fields was always calm whenever he held the ball forever Caleb you can tell is always trying to make a play
We have the same problem with Caleb@@JJ-zr6fu
Caleb is a very good rookie
You can't cut Kramer, he's your backup center.
39 years after the Super Bowl, the losing doesn't hurt anymore.
Thanks Kap for saying what we are all going through. When will this misery end??!! smh
What happen to Caleb Williams? He was throwing ball out quick in the beginning of the season and now he holds the ball too dang long. Maybe its me but if I was Caleb Williams and I was playing behind that terrible O line I would get rid of that ball and throw it away.
3 more weeks of pain
Same guy he was the last 5 games of his college career
Yes! The Oline is just as bad as Caleb was yesterday. He's afraid the throw the ball. It was a mistake drafting him.
That’s probably up to flus also the team needed a 3 tech not a de
Love your show! Who do you think we should hire for head coach?
Where has your buddy Montez Sweat been? Last year you said he was a great player. Poles needs to go.
Injured
@ what injury report are you reading?
At this point, I'm ready to not see the last year of the general manager's three year plan
When do you start taking responsibility for helping create this mess?
Train wreck is right. Bad roster. Bad management. Bad attitudes. Seems like half team quit.
You can’t cut him Kap , why did we cut our real FB ? Don’t blame poor Doug for this incompetence man .
Unfortunately Shane Waldron isn’t a fan of the fullback and eventually they cut Blasingame. A bad coordinator making bad decisions. This is the epitome of Bears football.
You have to blame him it's his responsibility. That being said if your depending on kramer you already lost.
All you so called experts said Williams was the savior and Fields was the problem. Team took giant step backwards getting rid of Fields
We should trade Caleb Williams and everything in the world for Joe burrow and Kyle shanahan
We can’t get either of those guys. Not available. Bears best option at this point is Mike Vrabel maybe. Should’ve went after Bellichick or Harbaugh in the last offseason 🤷♂️
The one variable that's always constant is the This ownership in their Hiring
The ownership needs to go they need fresh blood
It’s cause he isn’t very good , we drafted the wrong guy
It was painful for me to not watch my Bears last night, but I knew waking up next morning that Kap would not let me down 😀
Kap when are you dropping the apparel 2:55
What happened to the Windy City Roundball review?
Does Kaleb not like Cole Kmet . Why doesn't he use his tight ends more like Kansas City and 49er do ?????
Coaches fault not reminding for eligibility
WE ARE POORLY OWNED
GENERATIONAL QB SUPPOSED TO FIX EVERYTHING. NOT! 😂
Caleb has been wildly inaccurate this season
Trubisky and Fields who both had less were inaccurate and the media and fans destroyed them both. Williams has more and better and is also inaccurate yet media and fans are incapable of criticizing him and only make excuses for him by saying he's a rookie. This many games in their rookie seasons, fans and the media were screaming that Trubisky and Fields had to. Wonder why the drastic change in Chicago QB standard. False hope
You’re right he’s not fixing this mess, the Bears are Hot Garbage right now.
JUSTIN WASN’T THE PROBLEM
King of North Poles is amazing let’s extend him what a great job he did ! What another phenomenal game by bears let’s praise poles
The FB they cut earlier this year wouldn't have needed to report as eligible.
What is cutting guys going to do at this point?
Nothing
Remember when the Bears were 4-2, and the media thought all four NFC North teams would be in the playoffs?
I want Justin Fields back we were better off wit em.
Just Start Bagent at this moment
Why do so many fans still defend Ryan Poles???
Because he a lowly GM. It's the players. Poles is not the QB who afraid to throw the ball.
Poles has to go
We were better off with Fields Caleb sucks I've been saying this
Again you flip your opinion more than pancakes at IHOP 2 days ago Vrabel was your guy now he is going to NE.
