That would be the biggest comeback in metal ever, way more bigger than tribute band Pantera. Andreas needs to finally hide his pride, this is the one reunion that would be 100% legit.
Funny that you said that, Andreas days after Max said this, responded that he was totally open to them coming back and the door is open for Max and Igor, but Max after that suddenly said that he didn't want to anymore, what a coward, he only said this to gain views or some shit

"The right way" - more money than I'm making now. It'll probably happen at some point down the road because there's always enough assholes out there you can milk for cash. But artistically this is something the world doesn't need. These cats can't stand each others' guts and Max is musically stuck in the past.

It ain't Max that's the issue, based on what he's said here - he's already moved on. It's how Kisser & Gloria handle management, or whatever collaboration happens via performance. Blame media asking questions / fans for still wanting it to happen. I don't think any of us mind nore care

There was trash on both sides of the fued, and Kisser didn't help things. Fast forward to today, and Max's is doing more than well, with multiple bands & projects he's been able to do, not being part of Sepultura. Where is Kisser at?
So really, us talking sh*t doesn't change anything, nore do any actual justice to the arguement. If they work things out, that's how it'll be - but it won't happen if people hold onto their Egos. Ironically Max is showing that he's able to move on & grow, and make peace with the past.

Established Family & making a lot more music than nu-school Sepultura (which by the way, is the band he came up with as a kid; but you knew that already. 2. Not your business how f*cking old someone elses significant other is, but you knew that already 3. SOULFLY? Yes? but you knew that already, but apparantly he isn't surviving without doing (and doing rather well at) re-recording & performing records he & Iggor came up with, alongside whatever contributions Kisser put in on Schizophrenia (Kisser & Sepultura have been making money off selling all back catalogue that Max was involved in anyway, and that has been arguably more popular than any of the newer Sepultura post-Max).
Believe it or not, the success he's had isn't pathetic - especially if it means not being entrapped in your old band.. but wait, he isn't? huh.. how about that. Sounds like he's absolutely fine with whatever happens in the future.. meanwhile - nu-school Sepultura farewall Tour 🤔

There's no chance Kisser and Max will ever get on stage together ever again I think. There are things that can't be rebuild ; original Sepultura's broken. Fan from the Cavalera's brothers can still enjoy them ; fan from Sepultura after Max departure can enjoy the last show while they tour.
Max moved on, Kisser is still butthurt for some reason. I dunno why because it was him who was nasty to Max and Gloria when Dana Well died in 1996, pushing touring instead give em time to mourn son's death.

Igor, Paulo, and Andreas wanted new management after Chaos was released, that was 1994. Max and Gloria refused to have discussions. Gloria was under contract until December 1996. Summer of 1996 until winter of 1996-1997, Sepultura had major concerts and festivals they were booked for. Dana Wells killed himself in August 1996. Igor, Paulo, and Andreas decided to just let Gloria’s contract run out.

I don't think they should tear up that old wound again. What's done is done and there is really no reason to do a fan forced reunion.
They should do a couple of shows with the original lineup before calling it quits. include Jairo in some songs.
21st century in Metal: On one hand, bands who started their careers post 1999 are, for the most part, doomed to be underground forever. On the other hand, there's this constant and eternal nostalgic obsession with the past. Very depressive, really. Reunions, re-recordings.

@@ashatteredsociety In an alternate reality, (where the rubbish that had gone down, hadn't happened); Once upon a time discovering Soulfly/Sepultura, I thought it would be interesting to hear Max & Derrick do a collaboration with a Sepultura reunion (this was a thought I had 20 years ago). Other than that, I'm pretty much with you on that one. Although I've only seen Morbid Devastation & Third World Trilogy tours recently, it feels like Iggor's improved a bit more (since MD tour) - but Max's music only requires a certain bit of complexity in practice. Question for you - Who was doing lead Guitar for Beneath/Arise tour? if you recall-
