The japanse killed 300 ,000 chinese in nanking causing the fearful chinese to flee to the malay states. Then in 1948 Mao war with chiang kai shek and cultural famine, in which 20 million chinese were killed causea another wave of poor chinesse refugees to singapore. So Singapore is not really a nation but a staging island for chinese refugees to move on to third countries ...

In terms of income inequality, corruption in big companies and government offices, infiltration of global criminal organisation, poor quality of work-life balances, religious and racial issues, AI challenges to society, deteriorating environment, world politicians acting irrational and war- like, etc.

I'm a singaporean and I can't decide what to be having for my 5 meals per day. Being a singaporean means I have access to a healthcare system that makes our life expectancy one of the highest in the world. In other words, Singaporeans are burdened with the need to plan for retirement. What a life of suffering indeed.
In comparison, people from neighbouring countries have it easy. Not being able to afford a decent meal means they are not troubled with the need to make choices. A shorter life expectancy means they will die before reaching retirement, thereby, eliminating the need to plan for retirement altogether! I'm sure all of them must feel so blessed that they need not suffer the fate as Singaporeans do.

the tiny 1% money launderers or the very wealthy migrants never compete with the bottom 99% of the population to buy HDBs, or lower end condo. The high inflation in HDB prices and condos are due to the Indian expatriates and foreign migration who flooded into Singapore job markets, displacing the locals due to government packing more foreigners population into this small country.

These videos are so inaccurate. If you’re a young married couple, you have a definite path to home ownership and guaranteed equity in 5 years. That’s the government selling you a 1m property for 400k, and gifting you 600k for upwards mobility. Which country in the world does that? And the title is young people are suffering?
Did I also mention the CPF where the employer matches 20%, so essentially 1/3 of the income is set for YOUR retirement? At a compounding rate of 5%??? US and Europe can’t even afford to fund retirement. Again, and you think citizens are … suffering?
If the evidence of money laundering points towards the country going to the dump, then are you saying Switzerland and other countries are better because there ISN’T money laundering? Or because they aren’t actioned upon and covered up?
If you want to gripe about the country, at least mention something well researched. Cost of cars is sky high and YET people are buying them. What do you think will happen if we sell cars for cheap? Demand and supply in a land locked country?

A very good video reflecting what i 9:45 s actually happening. The govt. sucks the poor citizens to the hilt and the gives them peanuts each year. It has so much but keeps on increasing prices of basic stuff such as electricity, GST and other basic needs. For heavens's sake you dont need the extra taxes to get by. So stop lying that you care for future generations. If you cannot look after the present generation stop talking about the future. It is all hot air!

Looks like u are not thinking. The scheme u described had been inplace for decades.
The overall prices had been driven up by money launderers parking their money in properties, affecting ur BTO prices too., and over inflation. Just look at our TFR!

    • @joeyjoey22

@@richardrivers8873 ?? Do u for a second think? Why would money launderers (if there are) impact BTO prices? They don’t buy BTO, they’re buying 40m landed houses. Haven't had the time to watch video. But may I add Singapore is a Malay island for chinese refugees fleeing japan attack on shanghai in 1937.

@@sriyion8167 Singapore is not a Malay island bruh, the chinese has been using Singapore as a trading port before the British even came and before the Malay kingdom exist, it was Chinese that first recorded and name "longyamen" as a natural deep water port which would eventually become the port of Singapore when the British were still stupidly using raft to try and unload cargo near the Singapore river... there is a reason why Malaysia named drop China in their bridge of history in putrajaya, China protection allow the Malayan kingdom to form. We work hard and learn to enjoy peaceful and safe life here. So much good time to share with my family, relatives and friends. My children got their education. They have no problem finding the job they like. All of us are free to travel oversea for holidays every year. We get to learn and see more as we travel, we appreciate SG much more. We are only a middle income family. We are not poor. We are not suffering. We are happy here. Life has it challenges every where. You just need to be smarter and wiser to cope with it. Lazy and unwise people will for sure suffer due to their own doing and attitude. Please stop talking rubbish.
SG is not perfect and one country is perfect. No government is perfect, but ours are doing their job. Don’t stir shit and do your home work. It makes you look really bad and zero credibility.

As a Singaporean myself, I know many in here have been brainwashed into feeling we are always number one in everything and cannot accept any flaws if it were presented in front of us. It’s hard arguing with the true blue Singaporean that cannot accept the facts.
