A small tip: if using this night theme you can make the bullet bill launchers red to match the speed of the original better

I do quite like the idea, but I'd probably use spiny shells instead and have the cannons be at ground level with the floor, so ya can't stand near it to get equipped with a shellmet, for that can easily cheese such things. (really wish SMM2 had a 1x1 cannon, but ah well.)

Edit: You could possibly get your level cheesed if you make your walls out of hard blocks. (Probably) So I suggest you stick with ground.

To add ladders you can use vines for the ladder itself. Hidden blocks at the top to stop players from just jumping up. And use a donut so that getting on it you don’t immediately fall down
