I totally agree with you! I am in zone 9a in Southern California. But, this was 3 yrs ago and it is significantly HOTTER in the summers now. I have abandoned my garden and will clear it this weekend. Starting prep for fall. Subscribed!👩🏽🌾😢
Seminole pumpkins grow the best in Florida where I live but they did need to sprawl and root along the ground. Very large vines and lots of small and sweet pumpkins. Thanks so much for your channel

I'm interested in your Chinese cabbage to see how it grow. In my experience it will start great but it goes to bolting in the heat. Maybe it will work for you.
Yes Linda, you are perfectly right. Bok Choy and other Chinese cabbage does have a tendency to bolt in the heat. My problem is that I plant too many. So, I've got to remind myself to plant a few less and harvest them when pretty young before they go to seed. Great comment and thanks for the feedback!!
That's all we can do is keep trying and planting a succession crop. You have a really long growing season in zone 9B so take advantage of that. Thanks for the comment!!!
Yes, the sun is pretty tough on my tomatoes as well. The Creoles do a better job than most at handling the sun. Garden on, and thanks for your comment and tip of using Creoles!!

I've used Mary's Heirloom Seeds on a limited basis and haven't had any problem either. I tend to use RareSeeds.Com and Seedsavers.org. Maybe I need to look at Mary's a bit more!! Thanks for commenting and checking out the video!!! It's greatly appreciated!!!
Hey I am in the capital heights area of baton rouge, what can i plant now in planting bags for a fall crop? Have you used growing bags to grow root crops?

I will be doing a video in upcoming weeks on what I'm sowing this year in August. Both of these videos will be able to help list out what seeds you can sow. As for grow bags, I've used them for beets, carrots, and potatoes. These were pretty big grow bags (20 gallon?) but they worked fine for me. They are a good economical way to grow some veges and you should have good success. Just make sure you got a good soil mix. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!! My tomato plants literally melted here in zone 9b..😢 still have creole tomato tho! .

LSU AG Center recommends August 1. I tend to follow those recommendations although I wii probably sow some seeds in mid to late July.
