    Why not make them able to plug in as well. Battery or plug and make it charge a battery while plugged in.

    Update: Watching this video when it is 3 years old, just after buying the DeWalt. They have fixed the on/off switch. It now comes from the factory with a hole, through which you can push the start button without lifting the mechanism.
    Haha, they must have watched your video too!

    You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

    Very nice and thoughtful video. I was looking for a great comparison and started watching your video twice but couldn’t get past the Milwaukee t-shirt you were wearing and assumed you’d be biased towards Milwaukee. However, when I ran out of other reviews I came back to yours and I was pleasantly surprised that your review was honest and unbiased and very informative. I appreciate such a thorough review. I rarely subscribe after watching just one video but definitely subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work!!

    Hi,
    Just got a chance to see your video on these two cordless table saw. I agree with you, if they took each good features from both table saw you will have a the perfect cordless table saw.
    I like how you modify the dewalt shut off switch. I hope dewalt can redesign that on the table saw. Milwaukee got it right on the switch. I do like how the blade goes up / down on the milwaukee. DeWalt needs to change that on theirs. You forgot to mention that the milwaukee can use a dado blade and the dewalt can't. Just don't now how fast it will drain the battery when using a dado blade.
    Still deciding but i do have the corded dewalt table saw.
    The metabo is 10" but i do like the battery and corded adapter. Now it's very heavy and very pricey.
    Thanks for the video and information.

    I have the Milwaukee and love it. I have had absolutely no issue. I made my own cabinet, with left side and out feed tables. I am a Hobbyist, DIY guy, but love this saw. I am now using a 7 1/4 inch circa.saw which saves the battery.

    What a great review (and also nice to see both Dewalt and Milwaukee keeping it real in competing well).
    In the end? The Dewalt’s pricing for the 7480 will probably have me roped in (while my Milwaukee M12/M18 platform whines lol.)
    From Hitachi to Skil, from Dewalt to Milwaukee, there’s no excuse to own a poor table saw these days....and Dewalt forced that whole reality!

  • @lgzz4885
    @lgzz4885 4 года назад

    Good overview vid brother! Smh I just bought the yellow 7480, got such a good price I couldn’t pass up ($230)! & I felt corded might be NEEDED for a TS. I am fairly certain I’m going to return it now for the Dewalt cordless bc at work we have a 7491 which we use daily, so my TS would be for side work/at home projects. I’m still wondering besides the fact it will drain the battery much faster which Isnt an issue...can the Dewalt as the example hang with cutting hardwood? I just installed oak stairs at my parents house and 14x 1” treads needed to be ripped down on the backside. So during that is when I thought to myself damn I’m nervous a cordless 1x 60v (as opposed to my “120volt” 12”flexvolt) might not be able to hang!? Have you run your fair share of hardwoods through them? (Particularly the yellow saw) & was it still good to go?

    • @bearlemke
      @bearlemke 4 года назад +2

      LGzzy I use my DeWalt everyday for all kinds of flooring. With the right blade it’ll cut through absolutely anything you can throw at it. When ripping 2by lumber it’s best to do it in 2 passes but I never do. I abuse this saw constantly, never had a problem. I did however file down the red cover switch for it as it was always cutting off the saw if I let go of it too soon. Filing it made it less sensitive.

    My company has both. I agree with your review 100%. We have sold off our Dewalt saws just to standardize on one battery line.
    However, hands down Milwaukee fit and finish isn’t as good, its ergonomics are not as good and the stand isn’t as good. But for us, the single battery line was more important for us.
    We’re happy with our Milwaukee table saws… but darnit… Milwaukee please stop focusing solely on power bragging rights exclusively.
    I recently purchased a Makita 40v miter saw because the Milwaukee miter saws are really poorly made. Wow, is all I can say. The Makita miter is 5 star and above. The Milwaukee saws are 3 stars at best.
    If Makita continues to improve the 40v line and offer more batter sizes all the way up to a 12.0.. and if the quality improvements are similar to the new 40v miter, then I can see a time when we replace all our Milwaukee saws UNLESS Milwaukee makes an stronger effort to improve its fit, finish and making its premium fuel and “one Key” offerings a truly premium line of tools.
