I’m not sure if I’m being a total idiot but I need help!!!! I have a canon r5, shooting in clog3 and so I purchased the canon pack of luts. On some correctly exposed footage the lut just looks whack, nothing like a one click fix or anything that can be used. I'm getting a serious orange color cast on my Ninja V when using these LUTs on it. I can't figure out if it is the Ninja's problem or if I am using the LUTs wrong. How are you to use the LUTs that say "atomos pre-lut"? is this the only one that will work on the monitor?

Hey man, just bought these Luts but i’m confused. But the film look 5 lut bundle for sony As7iii (I own an FX3) it came with 2 folders, one for FX6 and A7Siii, but two other folders, legacy…what am I suppose to use? I shot everything in Slog 3, 1.7 overexposed and when I apply the lut (inside of premiere pro) the colors turn out way too intense, either with Cube 1 or Cube 2….am I doing something wrong? Thank you
thanks so much for sharing. I have a question for ya. should use Sony's slog2-rec709 firstly before applying your Luts ?or just directly apply to my slog2 footage ? your reply will be much appreciated.
Hi Joel, I have some questions - what is the difference between the lut with a 'legacy' at the back vs the one without it? and also for the eastman lut, there are two versions, one with the RM and one without. What does it mean? Thank you very much

Thanks Hilary! These are designed for s log specifically but I have seen some users make them work for HLG3.
Im kind of confused. On your site you only have Panasonic s5, s5ii and s1h Phantom luts. Do these luts not work the same with the Panasonic s1? Why isn't it listed when the s5 and the s1 supposedly use the same exact color science as well as the sensor?
Yes these also work with the S1 - I just assumed that would be understood given the sensor is the same as the S1h and S5 as you mentioned.
I don't want to clutter the page but I just added S1 then so it's clear :)
@@phantomluts thank you
Great video! These LUTS are beautiful. Will they work equally as well with Sony NEX cameras? Is there any additional, or specific, tweaking necessary for the LUTS to produce a great image like yours?🎬
Currently saving for a Sony, looks like I’m saving a little more for this LUT package, colors look amazing!!
Do these LUTS work in-camera on the Komodo? Or are they only to be added in post?
Pretty sure they work in camera yeah
Is there any way these would work for d-log footage for drone and action camera?
Yeah we have LUTs for the Mavic 3 Pro (D-log and D-LogM) which are compatible with most never DJI drones (with a bit of adjustment due to their various different sensors)
@ thanks for the reply mate. Just purchased! Looking forward to giving them a go 👍
Joel, i have to be overxposed in slog3 by 1.7-2.0 stops or stay in the middle of histogram and try to expose to the right?
i have the sony a7r5 and don't know which package will work? please help ... trying to buy.
Your A7RV is supported by the FX6 LUT in the A7SIII/FX6 LUT Pack!
@@phantomluts Great! Thank you.
Are the Phanton LUTs compatible with Panasonic GH5?
If your GH5 has V-Log, then yes they will work
Is the A7SIII Lut also works for A7III?
Will, it gives the same look?
Please consider creating these luts for the Panasonic S line. Thank looks fantastic!
Hello Joel,
before i purchase this luts..can i ask if these gonna work on my a7r iii slog 2 and slog 3? thanks man! hoping for your response
Hi, i purchased your Phantom luts for Bmpcc6k..i have a question that, should I use or are you recommending to use IR cut filter for my Bmpcc6k when using your Luts.?please kindly reply and help me.Thank you somuch for your wonderful creation and hardwork..i appreciate it. I also purchased ur luts for my sony cameras..its Great
Yes - IR Cut filter is a good idea for BMD cameras.
Hi Joel, I am a fuji xt3/4 user. I wanna purchase your luts, which one would more fit my cameras? Or does it even makes sense to get it for the fuji system? Thanks!
I bought ZVE1 and this LUT, but what if ZVE1 doesn’t have PP8?
PP8 is simply Slog3+Sgamut3cine.
Are the film emulator luts able to be used in camera for the black magic pocket 4k?
Yes
I’m not sure if I’m being a total idiot but I need help!!!! I have a canon r5, shooting in clog3 and so I purchased the canon pack of luts. On some correctly exposed footage the lut just looks whack, nothing like a one click fix or anything that can be used. I then thought maybe I need to put the ftg into rec709 first, but that wasn’t helping. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but someone help!!!!😅
Depending on your NLE it can sometimes use automatic colour conform so make sure that's off!
@@phantomluts really appreciate the reply! So I set premier to 709. Im shooting on canon clog3 and colourspace to cinema gamut. Should I shoot to 709 gamut on cam as well?
Very interesting Luts, if I understood correctly these luts must be applied straight to the log footage, no log-rec.709 conversion needed first, right?
Correct
I'm getting a serious orange color cast on my Ninja V when using these LUTs on it. I can't figure out if it is the Ninja's problem or if I am using the LUTs wrong. How are you to use the LUTs that say "atomos pre-lut"? is this the only one that will work on the monitor?
Hey Joel, sorry I’m late to the party lol, but I have a quick question. I currently shoot in S Log 3 on the A6600 and I’m very interested in purchasing your Lut pack, but I’m not sure which version to get for my camera. Will the newer version work with 8 bit cameras? Thanks I’m advance!
Use the Fs7 LUTs and I advise you against Slog3 as it's only 8 bit. Slog2 + Sgamut3cine is better for 8 bit.
Just bought my Sony A7SIII and bought the LUT's.. can't wait dude!! 🤜🤛😎
So glad I stumbled across this. Are you shooting your SLog footage overexposed by 1 stop on the meter to get these results?
You're welcome man! No the Film LUTs work standalone - you don't need to use a rec709 conversion LUT first. Each of my 10 LUTs work on their own.
Hi Joel, can these LUTS apply to my Blackmagic OG camera with the cinedmg raw codec?
Hi Joel, I have some questions - what is the difference between the lut with a 'legacy' at the back vs the one without it? and also for the eastman lut, there are two versions, one with the RM and one without. What does it mean? Thank you very much
You are the best ! Thank you !!!
thanks!
"spaz out"! Can we still say this even if we are Australian??Great work BTW
😅
