Bose Soundlink III Partial Disassembly/Teardown

I disassembled my unit to fix a dent in the grill but initially had difficulties trying to figure out how to get the damn thing apart. Since there were no resources available, I decided to try and figure it out myself whilst making a video. Hopefully this can help someone out. Note that the battery appears to be user replaceable. Thank you, I personally find it difficult owning something like this without taking it apart to see the inside. I know that one day I would need to figure it out because there is no way I would want to pay someone (Bose) to replace the battery if I can do it myself. You produced a high quality video and did a professional job tearing down this speaker.

HEADS UP!! I did this about 10 times and red light kept coming back. While looking for battery replacements I kept doing the mute button reset again and again withou looking. It beeped and went off no red light. Pressed power, bluetooth, nothing. Unplugged and plugged back in and ITS YELLOW LIGHT BLINKING AND APPARENTLY CHARGING NOW. Ill wait until it fully charges to try it, but i thought i was gonna be one of the exceptions that needed to buy a new battery. Before that, i would suggest, re try the process even 3p times 😂 ,sounds dumb but i swear it went to yellow for me and maybe will do for you too.

My line input jack is intermittent and you have to pull the plug to one side to make it go. Don't know if I can get at it to fix it.

@Armando Epifani is the main control panel with all of the buttons detachable from the drivers? I dropped mine and need to replace it with a top part thats not scratched.

I've got Problems with my one, it doesn't load anymore via cable, since it fell down on the front while loading. should I open it and what could I do?

If you can try another charger and it still wont charge, its most likely the charging port got loose from the pcb, if you wont mind losing warrenty, you can easely repair this yourself by resoldering the port back onto the pcb, if you want to do it properly, get rid of the old solder and apply new one, though keep in mind that the flux in the solder induces corrosion if not cleaned properly.
