Hello, You are so kind to take the time to write and send encouragement. The past few months have been difficult for me and I hope to paint more and have more videos on line soon. Your comments meant a lot to me. Regards, Marjorie
Hi, Thanks for your comment about my new demo. The worksheet isn't laminated but you can put plastic over it. So nice of you to take the time to write. Marjorie
Hello! Thank you for your compliment. So nice of you to take the time. My website has lots of info and pictures in my gallery, plus my material for sale. Thanks again. Regards, Marjorie

I got interested in paintings from a friend. and ever since i picked up a brush, i did not want to put it down! i still have a bit of trouble with paintings roses, So this video defintitely helped! thank you very much!!
@tootsielove83 ...Hi Tootsie, I used Folk Art Paint that can be purchased in WalMart or Michaels. I painted on my fabric laptop case. Thanks for your interest. Marjorie
@Zyther212 . Hello, thank you for your comment. I paint roses on everything...walls, furniture, etc. One of the dmeos on line is painted on a laptop bag. Folk Art Paint (acrylic) works on almost anything. Thanks again, Marjorie
Hi, Sorry not to see your question earlier. I paint on Fabric. This is Folk Art Paint. You can add their fabric medium to make the paint work. I don't paint clothing but I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be ok. Thanks for your interest, regards, Marjorie
@zainycoool Hello. In this demo, I'm painting on a laptop sleeve. It looks like leather but it's really just some sort of firm synthetic fabric. If you adjust the water when you use Folk Art Paint, it will cover most things. Sometimes I use Folk Art Satin Varnish in my paint and that seals and paints at the same time. Thanks for your comment. Marjorie
Hello Marjorie, Thank you, you have just confirmed the techniuqe which I myself have been thinking of trying, I can now proceed with greater confidence. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Best regards Bruce
Thanks for your comment. These roses are painted in acrylic. It's a very simple tutorial. To brighten the roses, you might look at some of my other videos. I also sell a Roses DVD on my website that's more complete. I also paint in oil but since these roses are usually painted on walls, furniture, etc, using oil pastel wouldn't be practical for this method. You might try it on your own if you like, it might be pretty. Thanks again, Marjorie
thank you sooooo much fro this video it really helped brighten my roses but i was wondering when the paint dries do you suggest using a bit of oil pastel to add more detail to the roses and leaves? :)
Marjorie! Oh my gosh I am soooo excited about your roses! I just ordered a DVD from your site a little bit ago and am planning to paint some of those pretty roses on an old dresser. You know, your style reminds me of china painting. I love your water-color-y blended effect. Its just so gorgeous! Can you tell me...the worksheet that is included with the DVD...is it laminated so I can practice that way, or is it just regular paper? I beleive the DVD I ordered is the Roses II one. Thanks!
@dook2u1 Hello, I think that to use my technique with pastels, you would have to lay the pastel stick on its side and make each petal in the middle color...(Pink), then add the highlight and shadows later. I can't explain it better than this. good luck, Marjorie
Hello, I would really like to know what do you fine best to paint you roses on? I am really curious, I have looked at several of your video's and I would like to know if it colored Bristol board? Or is it canvas. I have seen you use several different materials.
Hello Marjorie, Thank you for your wonderful video. I do a little painting but find I have most success with soft and oil pastels..... would I be able to apply your techniques to these mediums please ? Thank you in anticipation for a response. Best regards. Bruce
