On my spinners I take a few extra steps to assure they can handle the humidity changes, kids & men. Instead of just taping down the invisible thread; I wrap the tails of the thread ends over a small scrap of paper 2 or 3 times. A 1" × ½" scrap of paper with the thread end twisted over a couple times is all it takes like a rope around a tree. This way it won't pull loose, when my paper changes sizes as it dries out in the airmail.
When it's monsoon season here even the envelopes arrive unsealed.
