Epic Lighting, Epic Savings: DIY Giant Soft Box Under 150 Euros!

🔧 Building a Massive Soft Box for my Workshop! 💡
As a handyman who's always crafting something new, I realized my workshop was missing a crucial tool - proper lighting. Good, bright light is essential not only for a smooth workflow but also for capturing high-quality videos. So, I took on the challenge of creating a gigantic soft box, measuring a whopping 2m x 2.80m!
Given that this is my temporary workshop, I didn't want to break the bank on a temporary lighting solution. My cost-effective approach involved using fluorescent bulb replacement LED tube lights - a budget-friendly alternative to enclosed LED lights. Mounting them was a breeze with plumbing tube clips. For the soft box enclosure, I opted for calibrated timber slats, which didn't significantly differ in cost from buying 2x4s and resawing them. As a reflective surface, I used a first aid thermal blanket for its affordability and reflective properties.
To achieve a soft and beautifully diffused light, I chose polyester shower curtains as my light diffuser. Since my soft box exceeded the size of any available curtain, I ingeniously stitched two together. Attaching the diffuser material to the soft box frame was a cinch with rubber threads hanging on screws.
