A buddy approached me with a challenge: simplify the often intricate task of re-upholstering a car steering wheel. Challenge accepted! What emerged from my workshop is a prototype that will make your upholstery journey not just efficient but downright enjoyable.
Introducing the pivoting steering wheel holder! This ingenious addition allows you to tackle upholstery work from any angle, giving you unprecedented flexibility and control. No more struggling to find the right position; with this tool, you'll breeze through the task effortlessly.
Curious about the materials behind this masterpiece? I repurposed a towing hitch ball from an old car, coupled it with sturdy 80mm X 6mm plate steel, secured the frame with a mig welder and used a m12 threaded rod as steering wheel mounting point. Also used some trusty general-use bolts and washers to ensure flexibility.
