Great Video! Was a Pleasure to watch it. I've been there very often with my canoe and my tent and crossed every Lake of the Dalsland Camel very often. During trolling with the Canoe we also could catch many many Pikes, the most pike we caught in the Foxen, the Lelang an in the Laxsjön. And as you answered in other questions we are pretty sure the size of the Lure does matter. Fishing big savage gear lures like 3d trout 30-40 cm, 40 cm real eel and the 3d burbot pushed the average size to another level. My experience is 4-8m during the day and 1-2 meters of depth after Sunrise with shocking colours is the most effektive way. We also use the Abu Garcia Mchybrid in 15,5cm in different Colours and why ever...90 % of the fishes we caught were Zander. Its designed as a Pike lure but in my mind it is a amazing Zander Bait. After Sunset with a 1m flourocarbon leader it is a Zander magnet.

A tip for you guys to slow down your boat while trolling, and save on electric trolling motor power, trim your Suzuki way up (or out) so the prop is just under the surface as you troll. This reduces the amount of "bite" the prop has in the water which will help slow the boat.

MsPrincesspaulina Interesting! I will give it a go, thanks for the tip. We tried trimming but never as high as you are suggesting. Doesn’t it effect your steering in a very negative way? Besides the possible increase in noise.
It might affect the steering some but at slow trolling speeds it's not an issue. I backtroll (reverse troll) with live bait rigs for walleye (zander to you) and I can creep along under 1 m.p.h. (1.6 k.p.h.) without steering issues with the motor trimmed way up. At the faster forward trolling speeds for pike I've never had a need to trim way up in order to slow down for pike or muskie trolling.
Experiment with your motor and see what you find. You're not going to damage the motor by trimming way up so long as the cooling system still gets water. It costs nothing so give it a try. If you don't like it then stop doing it
I run a similar boat to your's in this video, an Alumacraft 19 feet (5.8 meters) with a 90 h.p. Yamaha 4 stroke with tiller steering. In fact, as I first saw your boat here, I thought we had the same boat. They're close enough to being the same.

Very slow backtrolling, with live bait, is common here . When you get good at it you can hover your boat over one spot by kicking the motor into and out of gear as you creep along.
I mostly fish for muskies. In a heavy wind I will backtroll into the wind, with the main motor, and cast lures for muskies. You can try that too for your pike. It can be difficult to reel in a lure while always adjusting the throttle but with practice it becomes better. In heavy winds and high waves this might be the only way to hold the boat on your spot because the electric motor isn't strong enough.

This is an honor for me who lives in Bengtsfors and to see you getting those 13kg+ pikes in my most fished lake Laxsjön is just insane to watch, hopefully I will get lucky some day and getting that 10kg+ pike, now my PB is only 104cm and around 7kg in that lake! :) Awesome video!

Had my first trip to Sweden this summer and was insta in love with this beautiful and peaceful country. We did Dalaran and Dalsland aswel, both awesome provinces with stunning nature. Sean, I use the "Weer en radar" app, most of the time pretty accurate. Nice video, greetings from Belgium.
