    Thank you very much.You saved me probably a good $300. My fat little brother saw it right away once we looked at it. Have a blessed day..

    You nailed it. The cracked hose at the purge valve was the culprit. Thanks.

    When I did the spark plugs on my 04’ Sienna, i got a lean condition code after driving it. Turns out I forgot to attach two of the vacuum lines to the air filter box. Luckily it was a simple fix!

    Wow, I gotta check that, thank you! I got a P0441, P0455, and P0456 code. I took it in last week, they changed the gas cap. It was fine for a few days, now getting same codes. "TRAC OFF" also pops up like last time.

      I have the same issue. I know it’s been a year but what was the solution?

    • @pondacres
      @pondacres 2 месяца назад

      @@stephen7125 At first they thought it was the gas cap. Nope. Then they traced it to a faulty evaporative canister purge solenoid.

    Thank you for that. I just bought a cheap low mile Toyota, two tanks of Gas and boom! P0456. Anyway they replaced the purge valve and fuel cap before I bought it, Lucky me. Both hoses are leaking. Cheap fix for me. Thanks again!!

    Clever, I checked those hoses but didn't pull the clamps off I'm gonna do that and hopefully track down this annoying leak, thanks.

    I don't know if I would be able to hear a small leak right by a running engine. Good ears, and good video!

    Hi Sir I have a mitsubishi galant 02 and P0456 always comes up goes away here and there but now staying on. Smoked it no solution didn't find any smoke took to another mechanic inspected car they say everything fine and changed gas cap but still on.. replaced gas cap like 4 times then just got the actual oem part from dealership mitsubishi for $60. then P0401 popped up and changed egr valve as mechanic said is the issue, engine light went away for 3 months but popped back up again with P0456. Is the issue i guess the evap canister vent valve or the purge valve. Any suggestions or help this code is a headache.. Thank you for your help..

  • @johnvantomey

    My fiance has a 2009 Scion XD and has a rough idle at stops. I replaced cap but thinking may be a vacuum leak. Did you have a rough idle also with this fix?

    • @shep747
      @shep747 2 года назад

      possible throttle body idle bypass is gunked up, I spray carb cleaner to throttle body where valve cover breather tube attaches
