Great video sir I’ve fished for mangrove snappers in the past they are very structurally oriented depending on how deep it is where you were you could drop your bait down right beside you also live finger mullet they like as well some smaller mullet preferably will get you some bigger snapper and keeps other unwanted fish away.
Thanks for the tip! Thank you so much for watching the channel! Glad for all the positive feedback and glad to see a lot of people liking it! Tight lines!🤙
Nice video. Very clear. Your giving up my mangrove spot to the public though. haha. jk. Good thing they can only get there by boat/kayak. We catch them off the dock like crazy.
That’s awesome!… this was my first time fishing this location… didn’t realize it was already so many people’s favorite fishing spot🤣😂🤣!…I literally stumbled across’ed it the day before and decided to come back in the morning with live shrimp!!! …thanks for watching and the comment.
@@Tightlineanglerhey brother. Next trip. Try up against the right hand side of those pillars. Fish bottom with a knocker rig and live finger mullets. There’s a hole there. 3’ 15lb leader with #2 j hook. You’ll thank me later. Good luck my friend.
@Tightlineangler your welcome. Hopefully you can return the favor and we can hook up fishing. I'm based out of Rockport TX. We have Hobie Kayaks, and an RV parked year-round at Mom and Pop's RV and Fishing Retreat right in Copano Bay. Let me know. God bless and Tight lines! Tom
I mostly worked the other side of the floodgate where no one could get to so I didn’t have to worry about other anglers fishing near me!… and yes I was fishing the bottom with live shrimp!
Freeport Tx…. Don’t have an address physical or anything…I literally just stumbled across it the day before, and watched some people fishing that spot and googled a public boat launch close by and decided to go back the next day!
Just watched your last 6 videos in a row. Keep up the good work
Awesome! Thank you!

Great video. Where did you launch from to get to that location?
There is a public boat launch about half a mile south of there.
Nice rod you got there! is that custom made?
Yes sir! Thank you, I started making them on the side as a hobby!
Where did you launch from? Thanks for the video.
I launched from a public boat ramp half a mile away from that site.
I heard DJI cameras do a little better with the overheating issue.
YES!… that is my next purchase for action camera. I have a DJI drone and it works great.
Just where the heck is that floodgate? I know of the one at Moses Lake, but have yet to find the Freeport floodgate.

is there a public place to drop a kayak near by there or do you have to drop it at Riverplace?
Public place half a mile away.
