It's about time that a Lee style case feeder (the best and most "dirt simple" feeding system in the world) was developed for the 550!!! Thsnk you!!!

I just assembled mine and 4 things of note. 1. The rail clamp set screws and magazine holder clamp screws are 3 mm metric Allen heads so have a metric Allen key set handy. 2. I recently upgraded my old RL 550 frame to the RL550C frame conversion so I have that raised ridge he mentions. I used a flat file to file out the 1-1.5 mm he mentions on the rail clamp. If you have to do the same thing as you start to file it you will notice the plastic casting of the rail clamp is not injected completely flat, it is wavy. So as you file it down by the time the surface you are filing gets completely flat you are about halfway there. And when you are happy with the slip fit, when you tighten the set screws to lock the rail clamp in place don't go to crazy on tightening the set screws doing that will spread the clamp apart . 3. I had to use a mallet to get the magazine holder down over the primer feed assembly tube. Spreading it with a screwdriver to allow it to drop down? Fughettabowdit! 4. Lastly, if you use the Dillon low primer buzzer, it will still fit once this unit is assembled and in place, you just have to have it with the larger part of the unit facing forward versus over the tool head like mine used to be. Now to use it!

Received mine 2 days ago bought to load 45 Colt I had to ream out the drop tube for the 45 ACP and one of the magazines tube ends is a tight fit actually to tight to use but made 50 rounds to day it’s a great product especially with the bullet feeder which I also bought. Makes the 550 so much easier

Just received mine yesterday. Install went well, just followed Saul. Initial tests went very well and I'm very happy I waited for the DAA version. After some more testing I will consider adding a Mini Mr. Bullet feeder.

Older 550s also have the raised edge. It would be simple for DAA to go ahead and make this cut in production as it would still work on units that don't have the raised portion. I also drilled out the pie e that goes on the primer tube as it was very tight. They could make this larger without issue as they still have the screws to tighten it up.. i would.sugest once you get the second piece on and adjusted run several rounds thru it by simply dropping cases in the funnel to insure it works ok before adding the case drop..

Does the feed ram have adjustment for the various sizes of cases. The Dillon one was a PITA, it'd do 45 OK, flip or flick 10mm, and mangle 357. Also, when doing a video make sure the camera shows what your hands are doing. can't see half of what you do. Saw the back of the machine real nice though.

This does not push the brass far enough into the plate, so the brass will not successfully enter the decapping die when you pull all the way through the stroke. I'm having to add material to the "pusher" in order to make up for the inadequate push. Also, the the magnetic wheel rail needs dremeling so that the pusher does not disengage at the end of its stroke, causing a jam which disallows the pusher re-engaging into the stroke, thereby placing the next piece of brass successfully.

Is there a particular reason the camera doesn't stay on the close-up during this assembly demonstration?
What I need help with on here is only shown from the front angle so we're watching from a distance.

Can the Double Alpha case feeder be used on a Dillon 550 at the same time that Mr. mini Bullet feeder is used? I’m a paraplegic and the regular bullet and case feeders are miles above my head.

A good Instruction Video, but not perfect. I purchesed mine some days ago and already did mount it to my 550B. But three important things i am missing you to mention. The hexkeys to use on the press for, need to be SAE Format. But the ones you have to use on the Mini case feeder, to tighten up the set screws, are metric. First i was not sure about that, but when i watched your video again, i did see that you are using different sets of wrenches. Also a notice, that if you dismount the platform from the press stem the first time, that the two screw holding it are very tight srewed in, and are secured by some kind of loctite, would have been perfect. Also that you have to align the platform with the toolhead, using a powder through funnel and a platform alignment tool, when reataching to the press stem, would have rounded up the instruction to perfection.
Nevertheless, If everybody follows your video step by step, mounting the Mini case feeder to the Dillon press should be of ease, as it was for me.

The slider on my 750 Dillon does not feed the case all the way to the plate and there is no adjustment.Any suggestion

What size are the set screws? Tighten the screw to how much torque? I got it today and set it up. I had the drop tube too far up on the primer flash tube so the cases sometimes missed. I loaded 100 cases and had about 5 cases upside down. I am having trouble getting it to insert completely in the press so it abruptly stops at the top missing the de-primer die. I haven't been able to identify an adjustment for that. I may try some lube on the slider.

I put my dillon 550 together w/o a hitch. This stumps me. I got frustrated when I give these long explanations w/o a close up. I'm literately looking into your chest as you are working on a stage. Then you have a quick close up and I have to figure out what you are doing.
