Chapecoense were huge underdogs in the Copa Sudamericana, making it to the final. Only 6 people survived the crash, the other team that made it to the final forfeited, giving Chapecoense the title.
That was in copa sulamericana. Europa league of south america.
@@joaocamposssssssds1393 oh, thanks.
@Neyodan 34 well, since I think only one player survived, it wouldn’t be very fair.
@Neyodan 34 yeah, I get what you mean. It would be really hard to not win it yourself with your teammates that you got to the final with.
One of the four crew members, three of the players, and two other passengers survived with injuries. Only 6 people survived out of the 77 who were on the plane
As an Italian man myself Totti’s farewell speech was probably the hardest thing for me man. A childhood hero and a roma and italy legend saying goodbye sucks

"Did twitter crucify [Messi for missing the pen]?" Bro, Messi got crucified by an entire nation for it. It's _football_ It's the biggest sport in the world with countries all over the world caring about it like it was a religion. It's so funny to hear someone talk about it from a "NBA perspective"

Messi is literally the most hated big player in the world, this guy has no idea how easy Lebron has it compared to Messi. Messi has been playing for a dying team since 2016 and managed to bring home trophies, but also lost many because of how terrible this barca team is. Messi gets hate for literally everything he does. If he wins he’s stat padding, if he loses he can’t preform. He’s set the standard for himself so high that if he doesn’t meet that standard every single game he’s “washed”. When Ronaldo plays bad and ghost during big games nobody says a word but if it’s Messi we won’t hear the end of it. Lebron doesn’t get even half the amount of hate as Messi, no player on this planet does

I'm from Portugal and I was just 10, but I remember that Euro like no other. We hosted that Euro. We had all kind of crazy moment, even a penalty saved by the goalkeeper Ricardo against England without gloves and won that match. We lost our first match against Greece and we met them in the finals again. And we lost. Was heart breaking for many reasons, for being the host and how crazy our country was at the time, flags in every window, we were so happy. Would be our first major trophy too as a country. So yeah that one hurt the most. So intense.
Thats the LAST tournement ronaldos dad could se him play in😢.
3:00 Chapecoense FC, from Brazil, were going to play the final match of Copa Libertadores (Latin American Champions League) and most of the team died. I think that only 2 or 3 playerd survived and one of them got his foot amputated. Totti farewell is By far the most emotional thing.
For some context,he was a one club man his entire life.He played for his hometown club AS ROMA which is not that big of a club like Real or Barca or united.
Got numerous offers from others giants but rejected them all for the love he had for Roma. And started and ended his career there.
I think AS ROMA even retired the no.10 jersey in his honor.Copa 90 did a really good short video on his retirement.
6:50 the kid posted a pic with a Messi kit made out of a plastic bag. Barcelona searched this kid in Afghanistan and let him met Messi as u saw.
The one with the kid who was a big Messi fan reminds me of when Barcelona played an away game against FC Copenhagen in the 2010-11 Champions League. Lots of fans turned up at Barca´s hotel to see the players, including a boy, who was around 5/6 years old, who was interviewed for TV with his dad. The boy cried his little heart out, that he didn´t get to meet Messi, so the club got it touch with the kid´s parents through the TV station and arranged for him both to meet the team before the game, get a ton of free merchandise and free sky box tickets for the otherwise sold out game for him and his dad. The TV station interviewed him again after the meeting with the team, where the kid was practically glowing with joy and excitement. Barca didn´t win the game (it was a 1-1 draw) but won a lot of hearts and respect by going out of their way to do that.
