I beg to disagree, RR almost basically played with no help with Ray and Jayson sidelined but still averaged like 25-30 points per game. He can be a focal point, he just needs perfect complimentary pieces if so.
Lol. Do you even watch the finals against ginebra. No ray ray no jayson. He can score alot but he cant carry a team. Thats what paul lee is saying. Maybe we can compare rr pogoy to klay thompson.

But Pogoy carried TNT in the finals when Castro and Parks were out. He proved he can carry although my Ginebra was the better team.
Klay thompson comes to mind. Long range shooting, 1 dribble pull up, floater, at streaky shooter. Pro hindi main man sa team👍
I don't think role player is the correct term tho. I think a more suitable term would be "2nd or 3rd option". He's the perfect "Robin" to a Batman kumbaga. Much like Klay Thompson.

Sorry, but I don't think role player is the right term. Freddie was a role player, Rey Evangelista was a role player. A complimentary player is more suitable. Those players who plays perfectly alongside a star player.

Pogoy can score easily, as long as he's with good playmakers and PGs. Totoo, still a role player kahit sabihin ng iba na nakaka 40 plus pts naman. The same as Klay Thompson. Di sya superstar, o even an "All-Star", magaling lang magsetup sina Steph Curry and Draymond Green or even Shawn Livingston and Andre Iguodala
