Man, part of the reason I have never done hard drugs (I'm in my mid-40s) is because when I was younger, I heard some drug addicts talk about crack like Michael just talked about freebasing. They were talking about it's the most pleasurable thing in the world, nothing beats it, not even sex. Growing up as a little kid seeing Reagan's war on drugs propaganda (really a war on Black people) and hearing those addicts talk..... man, tose things together made me NEVER try anything harder than alcohol or weed. I was afraid that I may love it like they do. As I got older, I noticed that some people just getting more easily addicted than others. I still don't wanna find out so I'll never try that stuff. It may feel way too good even in my 40s 😂
I understand this. I never wanted something that feels that good because I never thought I was any different than the people that were strung out. Drugs are undefeated and I never wanted to take that challenge
As a early 80's baby hell naw nothing stronger than weed & the occasional beer or shot for me. Seen how that hard shit will have folks stealing from their own children & shit. That crap is designed to control you instead of you control it.
Same. That game is so cold. The dealer gives the first hit for free and then their customers will do anything to feel that temporary high again. I never wanted anything to have that much control over me
Thing is alot of folks who were of age were smoking that Crack shit when it first came out back in the 80's. Hell the Crack Epidemic is what birthed Gangsta Rap & the still going on genocidal cultural a shit within Black America
Pierre has evolved into an A1 interviewer. He lets his guest do must of the talking, while he sits back and listen. Throwing in an occasional AD LIB, which is usually HILARIOUS!! e.g. NIGGA WHERE THAT ROCK AT??!
Used to see him perform in Washington Square Park in NYC. On any given weekday, you could see him, the legendary Charlie Barnett, and Rick Aviles perform for tips.
Naaawwww....free basing was when they used to just put the powdered coke on the foil or etc by itself & lit fire underneath & smoked that! Then started actually adding something else to it to cook it on the stove & make more of it cheaper (cause they were using a lot of powder to freebase)...that crqck started to be cooked with so much other shit that the high started changing & f'kin people up (tearing their body down) more! Thats why he called freebasing a clean high! I grew up in NW Florida so it was cocaine everywhere!
My Momma’s best Friend moved to LA to be with this Nigga. She came back a different person. She passed Now so im not going to mention her Name in Regards to him but THEY wasn’t living right.
Getting interviewed by Pierre is like having a white cop interrogation. Feels like how he asks you to be on the show and how he speaks to you on the show is totally different -
Michael Colyar’s STYLE of comedy is just pure genius. He’s so texted and layered. He’s got this sophisticated, ghetto savant shit going on
Wow Show Boat! Sharing his addiction and struggles. Funny Man and I’m glad he’s alive to kick it.
I love his honesty ..
This was an awesome interview, thank you 🙏🏾

I feel the same way. Addiction runs heavy in my family, both sides. I've always stayed away from that stuff.
I love the way Michael throws subtle jokes in while he's being serious 😂😂😂
So does pierre; michael "I moved like 17 times" pierre "so you were homeless.

I'm crowning Michael as The Godfather of comedy!
I agree!!
@@the44118 no because of his journey and contribution.
I wanna rock right now! I'm MC and I came to get down!
Most entertainers have some form of drug or alcohol addiction. He’s just transparent about his past.
I could’ve sworn he said on the breakfast that he was homeless on the beach & that’s why he always gave back food to the people out there.
Love this UNDERRATED comedian/actor
He used to KILL at Venice Beach 😂😂😂
Why didn't he appear as KOC?
He much better than Steve Harvey
Great Interview!!
Much respect to Micheal

Charlie Barnett was funny af in DC Cab
Charlie Barnett was one of Dave Chappelles mentors.
You can really see the influence in Chappelle’s early comedy… especially in Killing Them Softly
80s babies, we called it Crack, the adults back then called it Freebasing...same damn thing 😂
