I left my 3 year old daughter with her for a couple of hours and she pointed to his picture framed on the wall and asked her who it was - it was no surprise that she was able to recognise and say his full name. 3 years later she had her 1st ticket to go see him in concert but covid has delayed that. Im happy we share the love of him in our family x

Bruce Johnson gave "I Write The Songs" to David Cassidy as Bruce was producing David's first album on RCA records (after his first few solo albums and all of The Partridge Family album's were on bell records)called "The Higher They Climb The Harder They Fall." Barry Manilow heard it and recorded his version of it. In the USA they didn't release David's original version but they did release Manilow's cover of it. And it went to Number one. David's version was released as a Double "A" sided single in The United Kingdom. Paired with "Get It Up For Love" the single got to Number Eleven. BTW "Get It Up For Love" got banned in the UK.

He's the music man though not the lyric man and he added so much feeling and build up to his chord changes and arrangement. I like it for that. We were in Las Vegas at the "Mirage" went to see Barry at the Paris hotel. What a fantastic concert. Swaying to and fro with our glo stick's. Barry was so good. Happy times.
