your guide is so clear and detailed. thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. You're awesome :)
thanks you are a legend for the in-depth guides
Got the kill last night! Thanks for this guide! It was an excellent reference!
This was so comprehensive and well made, thank you. There are so many little debuffs that can be applied in this fight and it's tricky to know which attack does what unless you have a guide like this.
Do you know what a heal firebrand (presumably geared in mostly minstrel for potential sniper orange shot tanking) takes as utilities? I assume the quickness mantra, the healing bow, and stand your ground? If so, do you apply aegis for Heaven's Palm through shield 4 and tome 3, skill 5? Rather than take Advance.
I would take advance instead of healing bow, the bow isn't that good
@@Vallun Thank you. I didn't play HFB in the end (was condi virt) but I just completed it and the title, tanking the mech too.
Felt a lot more confident than yesterday doing so after your video so thank you!
Woo thank you vallun!
Ok man. Took me 1 hour to watch at your video to understand all your tips and tricks and guide. Thank you very much. Now i feel to be armed against that title :D
Hey, very thorough and detailed guide! I hope many ppl will watch this as it covers many fundamental mechanics that debuff players, that im pretty sure many ppl don't know about. I just wanted to mention, that Li's numbers attack has no hit box in meleerange. So if you stand close to him you can't get hit and don't have to worry where numbers go. As long as numbers keep lateral distance from other numbers, they are fine and can also get safely back into melee after their aoe is placed. You may want to keep Li's following position free from aoes though. Anyway, great work. Thanks for that.
are you sure that other numbers wont hit you? at 22:23 he got 40k damage by another number slash because it looked like he was close to the line of said slash
One helpful thing that wasn't mentioned in this video is that the two players who get the huge wells from the Mindblade can stack if they move together. It just frees up a bit more space on the ground, definitely isn't necessary, but there's no punishment for it.
Overall fantastic video, very helpful to emphasize the things that are random vs the things that happen exactly the same every time.
my issue with stacking them is that it provides you almost no benefit, there is plenty of space during that time and no one is moving towards the sides anyway. It's unnecessary risk to require that coordination and a bit ocd tbh
Another point against stacking the AOEs is that if one person is not moving as fast as the other they usually will get killed by the AOE
yeah better do it at their own pace. you dont need that much space when you can dodge the after-well heaven's palm easily. just dont dodge into the well!
yes
Hey Vallun, great guide, but there is one thing which i cant figure out about the encounter. During the Mech phase, sometimes he will shoot green circular AOEs at far away targets instead of the barrage. So far I am assuming that: Melee Tank = triangle Aoes to sidestep; No Tank = Barrage on highest toughness or most recent tank, rarely someone random; Tank too far away = green one shot circular AOEs (they stop once you come closer again, but they wont stop until you do) - did you observe similar?
yes it generally shoots the green at someone in front of it if no one is near it, so often the tank will get the green aoes on them if they move too far back, but if the tank moves through the mech so that it isnt even in front of it, then the mech will shoot the ranged aoe on someone else near its view. In short, mech line of sight is important to its targeting and tank needs to minimize movement
so you can stack double green circles ontop of each other? Do you need six people for that or can one person stack with the two circle people to fulfill the 3person requirement?
they overlap
22:45 oh my god thats omega sad😵
This or Dhumm CM which is harder?
dhuum cm
37 mins, man I prepare to my exams in shorter time
I was waiting for a video guide before even trying this CM. 23 min of explaining ONE bossfight says everything. How in earth will this be doable with pugs...
I did it with pugs
as someone who has cleared savage raids in xiv, it's doable. Aggravating? yes. But doable. Generally it gets much easier as the content ages and "Party Finder" strats emerg, and videos like this are uploaded raising general knowledge of the fight.
Fights like this will *always* be easier with a group on comms though.
I have to say I was quite frustrated by the many mechanics but as fishy said: the more people know the mechanics the better it gets. Ty for this guide!
my problem is they just added lots of stuff to hit u for the sack of hiting you with out anyway to dodge
The sniper phase is really chaotic, there is many mechanics going on and all of them are deadly, it's been 4 days since I have been trying to pug it, but as soon as the sniper teleports away, we die. No room to learn or observe.
On a final note...
Enough of the green circles already, I am dead tired of them, to me, it seems so odd and out of place to have them as a challenge, lazy and uncreative.
I hope Anet one days realizes how lazy this is.
Make a mechanic that is related to the boss, like an ability he does, something that gives the encounter it's flavor.
This in my opinion is not Minister Li challenge mode, it's Green Circle challenge mode.
