I used to listen to this song all the time, back when I was 12/13. I hadn't even played the game yet. I just had come across it. I've always loved it and you play it so beautifully.
I love the emphasis you put on at the different parts of the song. Pounding harder or lighter on the keys, slowing it down and speeding it up when necessary. You not only have talent, but you also have an ear. This was a great cover by someone who listened to and understood the original.
Now this is a mesmerizing composition. I've never played the game or listend to the soundtrack but I don't think it's needed to enjoy this cover in its entirety. Beautiful song beautifully played. Indeed.

All games that are good usually have an awesome OST, 'cause music creates almost all kind of emotions in a game (Except when the game has spent a lot on characters expressions). So, give these a try: Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Chrono Trigger, The Legend of Zelda Series, Assassin's Creed Series, Final Fantasy Series (If the FF song you're listening to is too old like 9 or lower, try to get a orchestrated version), The Sims Series (Specially 1 or 2 + Expansions), The Elder Scrolls Series.
Also, Kingdom Hearts Series, Shadow of the Colossus, Little Big Adventure 2 (Also known as Twinsen's Odyssey, the game is really old, but if you manage to get some higher quality songs than the original songs, your day will be made) Persona Series (Shin Megami Tensei Series on Eastern)... So well, yeah, who said a gamer only enjoyed playing? We love good music too :)
Forgot two games xD just more two :D It's Ragnarok Online (music created by SounTeMP), and Ragnarok Online 2 (music created by Yoko Kanno, she composed songs for Cowboy Bebop, and a lot of other games, animes, and movies... She's awesome! :D)
Hi, I can't find the original sheets that I uploaded, but I just found these ones on Google. Hopefully they'll help you to learn it, and if there are any differences, maybe you can use this video to help you :)
Thanks alot for this masterpiece. The sheet of music is well, of course, but there are several "changings" of yourself, which aren't in the sheets. In particular I'm talking about 00:39 to 00:41 . It's fantastic.. Could you please send me your original notes from your book? The differences are there, but I can't figure out, which book this is..
Thanks for your comment. The part at 00:39 is actually an addition I saw in another cover, which I liked and put into this one. So you are right, it is not written in the sheets. I have also added a few notes or expressions here and there throughout the piece, but it is nothing that I wrote down, sorry. It was nothing too complicated, so perhaps if you watch this a couple of times you can write it in the sheets yourself :) Hope that is of some help! :)
