I’ve listened to mostly walking exclusively at bed time for at least the last 3 years. I have to say, I look forward to the mostly talking at the start of the show almost more than the show itself. Almost… 🤣
I actually often look forward to the end cause thats where they tend to talk about the game with more depth than they do when trying to play it sometimes, i like when the conversation centers around game design or some other related subject
@@WadWizard This is true! I love when they discuss the little details about lighting or just puzzle design or the little details I would probably miss. It’s helped me appreciate so many games much more. Cheers!
@@DrBob66 it was the tornados actually, but usually experiences that are scary alone can be easier to manage when you’re with friends. Plus day9 doesn’t have to be the one to play it
@@babassoonist557 it's such a shame since Outer Wilds is like the most Day9 game I can think of. I know he would love it so much, but he tried playing it at a particularly stressful time as well and bounced off.
Oh there are/were a bunch of myst clones, theres a youtube channel adv_veo (or thats what it used to be called at least) that played them, some real obscure games but theyre out there.
Last few months he's been introducing the show by calling us "beauty babies" and my brain keeps auto-correcting it to, "Heeey! Birthday Baby!" (from _Russian Doll_)

Not really worth playing with the shadows off, should have skipped it and played something else. No shadows just hurts the look and feel of the game too much.
I for one think the banter at the start of the ep is my favorite part, in fact even when I'm not feeling a game I tune into the start anyway
Same, I always watch the intro but I don’t always watch the gameplay.
aint that the truth
I was gonna say this game gets stuck in the shadow of its predecessors but luckily we turned shadows off.
I'm running the GOG version and it runs like a dream with shadows on. I just checked and it will even run on integrated graphics.
best show in the internet! and it keeps delivering after all these years
You all are awesome! I've enjoyed watching you over the years :)
7th guest vs the cpu was the hardest thing to do
Love the banter guys lol

I never tried spawning a pregnant item in Scribblenauts. Does it birth babies, or tiny jetpacks?
I love the banter at the start!
"by the rght of the explorer" is such an evil phrase jesus
Isn’t that just another way to say finders keepers?

Only thing I tune in for is the conversations between you three, would love a podcast
Some of us like the games though
@52:40 Laura Footnotes sounds like an adventure game protagonist
Mayor may not, Ayyo!
YESSSSSSSSSSS I've been waiting for them to play this game :)

fish pinecone forever
So many tough sections I'm looking forward to seeing them struggle through. Game is serious!
I bet you can click the text like you clicked on the notebook photos to view the text
When you get a chance, compare the logo for Quern to the logo for the band Queen lol
I couldn't play through Antichamber because i couldn't find any sort of settings where I didn't get incredibly motion sick and vertigo-y constantly
Hey you guys should play Outer Wilds once the DLC comes out in a week :D
iirc day9 tried outer wilds as a "day off" game but was terrified of black holes and quit. not sure if he played off stream or not

Rhem seems to be a series with a few entries, and the channel is still called adv_veo, havent posted in a year though
Have they ever considered broken sword? Only played the first part, but I have good memories of it. Do they even read YT comments?
Shadows off, game works fine. Literally, every one of my gaming experiences. :D
when gta3 was new. i liked to disable most textures with an opengl tool for some extra fps.
Have you tried splinter cell? xD

This game uses a lot of puzzles from Myst Exile, the electric fish, the light emitting spy glasses.
1:34:15 if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.
"No Time To Die In Theaters"

Its not Riker its Morpheus

sean b, you should watch Kill James Bond
Was going to leave a comment asking if that's the podcast he was thinking of. I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm a WTYP regular

Who would play a crap game like that???
