9:41 ahhhh that turbo❤❤
for 2 hours in the goa heat, i’ve had the music off and the window down just to hear induction noise - one of mankind’s great achievements
❤❤❤❤
diesel turbos are something else. i and my son like listening to the symphony too sometimes. turn off the music- windows down. keep AC off. and hear
@@carswithkaran I also do the same with my Diesel car while driving through ghat sections.
that turbo spool is epic, isn't it!
Thanks for unscripted part... The turbo spool sound is a melody to ears...
thank you sir!
It does sound sweeeeeet!
Really? It sounded like a trapped mosquito or some other bug to me! I just don't want to hear a monster wheeze; it should snarl and growl.
@@Farhan_049 it's your choice brother I have not forced you to hear it. If you think it's like trapped mosquito.. please prefer a maruti car. Maybe that will suit your character and requirements
@@nexondiesel Yes, naturally-aspirated engines sound best.
I'd always prefer a car with old school approach. The more electronics something has the more it's likely to go bad. The rough, rugged feel this provides is what gives it the character. Same goes for hatchbacks or saloons, punchy engine preferably NA, great steering feel and that's it, there's always a workaround for electronics but there's no workaround for a great drive.
very, very well said - all that tech also gets outdated with every generation while a car that’s fun to drive, remains fun to drive
@@carswithkaran Yep, most people don't know that, they just want the best features and a lackluster drive or straightline speed. There's a reason why those old Esteem, Zen, City, Civic are so fun to drive still specially on mountain roads.
Great to see a hardcore motorhead!
Unfortunately it's the same fun drive it's doesn't provide 😂, though no doubts it's superb in looks
Sure. This thing doesn’t have pesky electronics and it might be the most mechanical car on sale today in the whole world but it will constantly leak oil and break down.
Thanks Jimny for bringing in this 5 door concept.
i would’ve liked a 3 door Jimny tho 😭
these were planned years brfore jimny
@@spectaculer350 Planning is one thing, have to execute it in peer pressure is another 😊
The five-door Gurkha has been in the works for a long time
Some thoughts on 5 door
- Remove the 3rd row. (Makes boot bigger than midsize SUVs)
- Make 2nd Row adjustable for legroom. It looks so unusable. (Main priority for people)
- Give better seats like the segment currently has instead of those decade old ones
- Make it more modern with features & soft touch materials for the price its asking. (Creta, seltos feel waaay better)
- Improve NVH.
- remove that incredibly cheap head mounted ac unit & go for more modern approach.
If acted upon this it would have been amazing for imo many people to sway in its direction.
i agree with points 1,2 & 3 but i would not compare plastics on this to a creta, NVH can be improved for sure and yea that AC unit is pretty shoddy
It's not for city rats 🐀.
It's for adventure enthusiasts and gimmick lovers are not ghurka target audience .
So be happy with your fwd toys and play games in big screens and ac 😂😂😂😂and also your automatic stick😂
@@401aksh keyboard warriors at it again. When did i say i want every feature from them ?
Take Ineos offroader from UK, it has successfully applied its no compromise rugged with modern interiors that doesnt feel outdated.
My points about seats & its config, cheap ac unit & super bad decade old plastics still stand true.
Go learn a bit about the international & now coming to the same level indian market where even if a car is outstanding offroad it will not sell with its poorly implemented interiors.
Go look & feel a wrangler, bronco or even indian jimny 5door which feels miles better than this objectively worse interiors.
@@401akshhe makes valid points. Ur comment on the other hand is pure moronic.
1 & 2 i completely agree, and I feel seats are good enough for what it is. All necessary modern features are available in our pockets today, so not gonna ask for gimmicks that can break when going off the beaten path, a car like this must have only the essential features that will survive an apocalypse. The NVM again is personal choice, a few people people like me love those raw rattles and the diesel whistle. Those too can be removed using after market products and smart mods anyway. And considering the AC works like a charm, why go from something that works really well to something 'modern' just for the sake of it?
9:45 That turbo spool❤
❤
❤️❤️❤️🔊
5 seater 5 door would have made it more desirable, cramped 7 seater not so much!
+1
We agree!
The last row seat are bolted so they can be removed
@@premprabhakar805 Still we need leg room in second row
Best option is to remove both second and third row seats and install two captain seats like carnival or vellfire and then its done offroad car with best comfort seats for second row seats and enjoyable drive quality for drivers ❤❤❤
For an extra height, the extended length helped to match the aesthetics.
needs a wider track now
A wider track would have increased interior width as well, which is something the Gurkha needs.
Love it,IT will be tough competition for Upcoming 5door Thar and Jimny,Still outdated interior and no steering controls,
yeah few misses
Absolutely
Will Swap it with g wagon interior kit😂
hahaha!
I don't think this car even compares to jimny or thar. This car is beast in itself. People who love to grab attention with their jeeps and have money to spare should definitely get the force
The third row seats can be removed if you want more bootspace👍. Add a proper lift kit, Dr.Nano or MMG, 32 or 33 inches tall offroad tyres, front and rear steel offroad bumpers, a tyre carrier, winch and recovery gear. You're good to go.
genuine question - does this really need a lift kit?
@@carswithkaran if a 32 inch tall tyre can be fitted without a lift kit, that'll be great. However, at least a 1 inch lift kit can clear upto a 33 inch tall tyre.
Good to GO, where ?
Cool idea
It's already 17 lakhs price tag , further investing for the modification is no-brainer
The air coming in through the door is the door beading thats probably come loose. One can unseat the door beading while exiting if the front seats are set to far back. Thanks for the well balanced review.
yeah i think you’re right, thank you Mr Overlander! Are you buying a Gurkha?
@@carswithkaran already own the 2021 Gurkha and i love it.
Damn! And thank you Mr Indian Overlander
Never been to a video this early, not sure how to react “*gets awkward*”
did you like advit
same 😭
@@carswithkaran what u mean..? 🙄
@@deltaandD7516the video - did he like it 😂
@@carswithkaran 😪👍
RIP transfer case with stick shift.
You will be missed.
haha yes
Yesss!
ESOF 4x4 even came with sumo 4x4, 25 years ago😂.
Firstly, thanks for addressing the baby off-road track that everyone had to drive in. And idk why no one is appreciating the fact that force has finally addressed the extremely low front control arm that previous gen Gurkha was plagued with! And lastly thanks PD for not doing a 0-100 run like some did.
We're glad you liked the video!
Would love to watch people actually converting/modifying it into G wagon, replacing the headlights and rearlights and removing the luggage carrier from top, removing third row etc..
Exactly the comment I was looking for 😂
Someone will for sure!
Man that turbo spool is 🔥. I used to roll down the windows in my friends duster diesel, just to hear the turbo whistle and owning a verna diesel now, i do it all the time.
haha i love it
Sututututu
Looks like it’s already lost considering second row. Just don’t get the logic of keeping second row cramped and no sliding arrangement.
It could have been a good 5 seater with lots of luggage space making it a good long ride vehicle.
Agreed
That Turbo Spool!! Wow! Man.. Awesome that is..
Right?! Music to our ears!
❤
About sitting, they will give more options later to 5 seater , 6 seater and with side bench seats.
yup, hopefully
We really hope they do!
The way that Turbo sounds!!!!🔥🔥
Changing the steering design was not that tough or costly for Force.. should have done.
Infotainment system can be upgraded if not happy with it..still should have been better..
Looking at the quality of the roof mounted blower.. it should have not been provided rather
Great point!
Funny commentry...very nice to watch
... thank you... God bless you
the sound at the end... just made it characterful 😍😍
Totally! 💯
Thanks for a genuine review. I have the 2021 model 3 door and you're right - if you're looking for a car for everyone, this isn't it. but if you're looking for a car that's capable, has character, aren't too worried about bells and whistles and where you don't have to worry about your electronics going haywire, this is definitely for you. #ILoveMyGurkha
👌🏻
Word!
Every thing is 💯 but again steering ➖️ 🫠disappointed yei must need change thaa ,travler sai Lai kar tuffan tak or Gurkha same , force motors know about everything where they fails but not learning from there mistake
yeah i found it an eye sore too
Yes some distinction would've felt nice
Everything I needed to know about the new Gurkha and some more. And some sprinkles to top it off. Now that's a review!!
Much appreciated, Pranav!
Mr PK thank you!
Finally a real good video from #pd after a long time. Please make long unfiltered unscripted videos.
Thank you! And yes, more coming your way.
Atleast Force Motors has geniune pricing for what it offers and they actually took customer feedback. They are not cheating people like Maruti did with Jimny.
Maruti is also offering you variants, unlike Force
I’m extremely happy to see that they have improved things by listening to critics .
Like engine “power upgrade” with an option to economise when you want . Lovely idea.
”suspension arms” redesigned for ground clearance.
digital front console and an info system with google maps BTW(Toyota still needs this upgrade)
The issues still linger on non adjustable middle row seat back angle.
Why can’t they just swap the middle row and the back row exactly like the Innova crysta ? It’s an extremely convenient setting.
If I buy this 5door I’ll surly get it done as an after market thing… captain seats in the middle and 50:50 flat bed seat as the last-row with detachable and foldable option . Exactly like Citron C3Aircross . ❤❤ I’m extremely happy to see them work on the product and upgrade it with mindful inputs. All that is left now are the showrooms and silly sluggish sales agents who are least interested in selling . Lena hai lo varna Aage badho…. Sawal mat poocho.
We're super happy too!
WOW Love that turbo spool, reminds me of My Safari Storme.
By the way, I can imagine and foresee lot of buyers removing the last row, and pushing the middle row a bit backwards, as a retromod. Force can easily launch a 5door variant with more middle row space too.
We think Force might do a 5-seater, 5-door version of the Gurkha sooner than later.
3:07 exactly, why would you put captain seats that too in the last row!
Rarely used last row should have been a foldable bench seat that would increase the cargo space too.
Plus second row captain seats would have been more comfortable and spacious with no tyres taking space.
Right
watched the whole video for the Last bit....intake sound ❤❤❤❤
Kudos to the host! He did an absolute fantastic job with this quick review. Covered all the details, made some great observations but didn't make it boring.
And superb perspective on the vehicle. Esp loved the unscripted part. Looking forward to a more comprehensive review once monsoons in Maharashtra! 😊
Much appreciated!
Captain seats in middle row could be comfortable...
agreed
Amazing review. The facial expressions were just hilarious🤭🤭. This is the powerdrift we've been missing for so long
haha i’m glad you liked it man!
9:41 suuuuututututututtututut
Music!
they are at a god starting point and in few years hopefully they fix the minor issues like comfier seating, infotainment system, etc
yeah, a step in the right direction for sure
❤️
That turbo 😮🙌🏽😍 Just wanted to ask like in the dirt where you were doing full circle turns i saw two wheels almost getting in air 😅 was it stable in those turns or one would need caution for those sharp high speed u turns or full turns😅
i did need caution for sure - tall SUV, bumpy offroad bit - but it wasn’t like a scary moment
Turbo sounds super cool, yes!
6:01
Genuinely concerned about the cross member that's underneath just after the transfer case, isn't that going to catch on rocks and boulders off-road? Seems pretty low. Was this also present on the previous Gurkha?
We haven't been able to experience the Gurkha for a longer time at a hardcore course yet, when we do, we shall answer this for sure!
Everytime I watch a vdo from PD.. I feel like why didn't I come here first ... Gurkha still stands alone but different... Just a masterpiece!!
haha thank you Adi, it is unique for sure ❤🙌🏻
Thanks, Adi!
This one got quite a road presence.
I have seen 3 Door one and it looked good now this one is gonna catch more eye balls 👍👍.
Surely
for sure, looks very nice in black
O man that mic and sound thing was pure symphony. Loved it❤
❤️❤️
Like the unscripted part with jet like roar 👍👍
Well articulated. That Turbo whistle is really cherry on cake
Indeed!
Nice , Indias Original G Wagon . Although with the modern bits they should have retained the Knobs to move from off road options. Good Job Force motors .
Fair enough!
It's far better to avoid 3rd row seat and give 2nd row seat enough leg space, put that 3rd row seat empty for luggages
What a special story ! Thank you for calling us 'special' Karan Singh
The design team at Force, would love to have a chat with them and hear their frustration.
about?
The fact that they are constrained to the same design direction. That they have to keep everything basic. That they have to choose from the same parts bin. That even simple things can be designed better but yet they don't. Usually the management restricts them or maybe the designers are just limited in their abilities
@@praveen20 next event i shall ask this on your behalf - very very valid points
i fear their answer will be “budgets”
except i (and im guessing you also) feel that making a gurkha a halo product and spending time with designing all the tid bits fresh would pay them back in bucketloads later
@@carswithkaran Thanks for taking this up Karan. Looking forward to their answers in your next force product video.
However If the answer is budget, then I think the company is quite sure where it wants to be. In the commercial transportation segment with its trax, toofan and the traveller series.
I think Gurkha is just a fun side project that keeps their name relevant, but like you said, if they want to make it their halo product, which will and can help them sell thier Urbania line better, they need to invest in design and brand. I am sure the management knows! Its about vision and what it takes to get there.
About?
Does the 3 door have the upgraded specs?
yes it does - all the updates
Yes it does, all of them!
That's the power drift type of content we always wanted.. would like more if music sound is less
Noted on the feedback, Aditya and glad you liked the video. :)
❤
If I had this i would remove the bench second row altogether😁
Karan Singh all glory. Gurkha with an Alpha man..... indeed, not for most humans. ❤
❤❤❤❤
haha thank you uday!
Best part 9:40
Let's gooo!
Hope they put the 2nd row as adjustable in next upgrade😂😂😂. They are doing it rapidly
Hopefully they should
Dude I'm loving your style of reviewing. Want to see you in lot more videos.
More to come!
🙌🏻❤️ thank you
The start reminded me of the amul video , great puns in between ❤
❤
Glad you liked it!
Bro that steering wheel looks like WW2 era or atleast pre LPG reform era force what are you doing guys
😂😂😂
hahahaha
The power drifter have a power to perfectly explain all about fun of gurkha
Did you like the video, Amit?
This reviewer and the writer deserves a raise.
Karan Singh, take a bow!
Its highly highly unstable! 5:26 just look at the rear wheel going up
it’s also not meant to be cornered hard on a bumpy offroad patch - though it is very very tall
It was Karan having fun!
🎉 Gurkha 5 door is all we needed ! Will do well as a back up passenger 4x4 car for our ladakh trip with bikers.
Do let us know when you plan this!
Will it be possible to remove the middle row seat and replace it with those last row seats ? Make more space at the rear and hopefully increase comfort in the middle row
maybe - but i'm guessing mounting points will be diff
@@carswithkaran Will certainly be waiting on how car enthusiasts will be modding this off-roader
We are too!
Wow. I just like this model. Just waiting for the second version Gurkha. I will definitely look for
You mean a new version of the 3-door?
@@powerdriftofficial no. I mean the new version overall. Improve in technology. Maybe into hybrid or electric versions depending on next generation market. Back seating space. Maintenance and service. Over all I like the look. This version is little compared to the Mercedes Benz G 580. As for now Force will rectify this version from customers feedback and they will come with a second version. Gurkha will attract European customers
9:40 timing is ❤
Haha!
broooiiii there so many places i reconize in this video, there the feild next to the highway where the car is seen drifting its very close to my house OwO
this is sooo cool!!!!!!
i hope someday i get to meet the power drift team!!!
Maybe we can drop by and say Hi sometime! :)
Oh that turbo whistle win it all ..❤❤❤.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
That turbo sound is something why i would consider this gurkha, man oh man its was so loud
A sweet sweet sound indeed!
Ahhh, Diesel Turbo..... You beauty.❤️❤️❤️❤️
😁
5 seater version would have been the best if it was available.
yeah agreed
Correct
big mistake - captain seats in middle and foldable bench seat in the rear would have always been better. With folded back bench, it would give space to luggage. Erect the last bench row only when in use by humans, otherwise use it as luggage space. Ingress to rear by middle seat folding like in Thar.
Agreed
The body roll around 3:30 mark is 😮😮😮
haha yeah
yeah!
Is Force Motor Considering to do something about the middle seat, I was planning to buy this when launched, but the seat is really bad, I am hoping that Force will soon fix or give seat option, the 7 seater is to compact, I would have loved 5 door 4/5 seats with extra boot space.
Coudnt end it better, that turbo spool!
haha thank you
That's Karan Singh for ya'll!
that turbo spooling sound is 😍
Right?!
At least give the credit for the intro quote to Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw .
One of his most popular quotes
Pls give credit where it is due.
They won't.
Apologies
Now i can easily get the 3 door and have the middle row from the 5 door in it.
3 door fixed 🎉
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then you won't be able to get to the back row in the 3 door - entry to the back row is from the rear 😄
Hahaha
Fantastic review!
Thank you so much!
I would have given more leg room for 2nd row and give a foldable 3rd row, so we can accommodate more luggage too…
Agreed!
That turbo feel 😌😌
❤
❤❤
That turbo whistle🥵
Orchestral, isn't it?
That turbooooo though...siuu!!!
Full volume!
That line u r special..strikes hard
You're special! ❤️💯
Loved the script!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Just remove the middle bench and get comfortable captain seats for the rear with immense leg room.
Absolutely
Options for 6 seater ?
not yet
Nothing from Force!
Nah...man, that IF suspension looks poor in articulation. They came up with solid front live axle in the bs4 gurkha, that should have been the real positive point about gurkha, less maintenance, good articulation, rigid and tough.
We will tell you better when we get to test it in a tougher trail!
@@powerdriftofficial allright.
We got a Gurkha 5-door before GTA 6
😂😂😂😂😂
😭😭😂
This car Has been easily modified into merc g wagon at minimal cost😂😂.
Hahaha
Please don't use the Feild Marshal Manekshaws dialogue on Gurkha. He only meant to say so for Indian Gorkhas with an O and not the British Gurkha with a U.... It means a lot. Damn it.
Both of them o and u originate from Nepal. Does it really matter
@axel3895 Yes we're Indian Gorkha so is Force and Field Marshal Manekshaw was mlre Indian than what we are i guess. The U is for colonial one unless this was a British vehicle.
Why is Force writing Gurkha then?
@vinitjain6131 only to proove were still colonised.. sad story with a beautiful vehicle...
I just noticed that gurkha got that widdle wadder on the back.
Its all in the details!
They messed up with the second row, a little more legroom would have been highly appreciated. And we don't need a 3rd row on a hardcore 4x4 Suv like gurkha, that's totally unnecessary. Interior could have been a bit more modern, it's like 20 years older or so.... After all people will pay close to 20 lakhs.
Agreed
Love this guy!
Sending him the love!
Love you!
They could have just made the second row more comfortable and put jump seats at the back. The designers at force have just lost it.
We agree that the second row should have been captain seats.
Are they planning to come up with Automatic gearbox ?
nope
Nope..
Sounds like it will eat everything coming its way. 😂
Looks the part, doesn't it?
A true Man, who just like being behind the steering wheel instead of sitting back , will definitely love thE GURKHA..
It has become more appealing than earlier with the increase in power and torque this has become more likeable...
But as it is said, this is still not for everyone, but those who will opt this SUV is really special.. because this SUV has got special characters..
It is a niche for sure!
Sam bahadur lives in my heart❤❤❤❤
Absolutely
