"America needs an order in Ukraine that would interrupt the economic cooperation of Russia and Europe with each other. And the American policy is to develop events in this way. Now events in Ukraine are only unfolding, and there is no point in waiting for pacification - a troubled Ukraine should become an insurmountable barrier between Russia and Europe.
Understand one thing. In order to break the economic ties between Europe and Russia, Europeans need to be so intimidated by the Russian threat that they themselves want to do this - it is necessary to radically change European public opinion about cooperation with Russia. It is necessary to emphasize in every possible way the aggressiveness and unpredictability of Russia, provoking it to escalate the conflict in Ukraine. The media should constantly talk about the growth of tension in Ukraine, about the violence and cruelties perpetrated by the Russians, so that Europe is ripe for a break.
Whether the united Ukraine will remain on the world map or disintegrate is absolutely irrelevant for solving the main problem. The main task of the events in Ukraine is to dissolve Europe with Russia so that the Europeans completely refuse to cooperate with Russia and redirect their economies to full cooperation with the United States. The main goal - to tie Europe's economy more tightly to the US economy, and what happens in Ukraine in this case does not interest anyone.
Ukraine is given the role of the rubble, which will interrupt European cooperation with Russia. And what kind of structure there will be, the form of government - these are absolutely not interesting questions".

You can not generalize. A lot of polish people have great resentment about the murderous deeds of Ukrainians during and after WW2. And the fact that already a couple of polish people have been murdered by some ukrainian immigrants who just received all kinds of benefits over and above those given to the poor born in poland, does not help relieving the tension.

@@barbaraojko7990 The poster of this video has a pro-Russian view and employs commentators to push the agenda.
They will try to attack you and your nation and convince you that there are "two sides" to this war and that Russia has some historic reason.
The original video has not been changed as far as I see, but reposted as soon as the Ukranian war started because it speaks of the topic.
By reposting an old video, the new commentator can change the narrative and inject questions about NATO and the European Union (neither of which seem to be mentioned in the video.)
My belief is that Russia was the one that sent troops to Ukraine and as a result civilians have been killed.
Killing people without a reason is not good. (no one outside Russia thinks the Ukranians were trying to Nuke Russia.)

The core fault is the new definition of the word liberalism! In Europe we kept the meaning of economic anglosaxon liberalism for centuries. In the US liberalism was captured by socialist to implement anarchism. That`s why people inject gender studies, BLM and other socialist ideas into liberalism. The us liberals can be compared in Europe by socialists and greens.
Real patriots fight not only for their land and their compatriots but for history, ancestry, future of the own children and culture! That`s why conservatism and so called liberalism, what is covered socialism, are like fire an water.
And by the way we germans are exhausted people. We don`t want to self sacrifies for wrong ideas like the transhumanism of the WEF or socialism. We have been injected with socialism for decades.

    • @KennyEvansUK
      @KennyEvansUK 2 года назад +1

The only problem is, is that Nationalists themselves define who their countrymen are. So by some arbitrary metric, that person is fine, but that one over there is dogshit and must be snuffed out. There's no magical coming together of these 2 ideas because the fundamental mechanism of division remains at the heart of it. The exception is a situation like Ukraine, where people can be united against a common enemy but that requires an invasion, a war, destruction, death and misery and at the end of it all, nationalism just comes back and the divisions appear once again. It's just a temporary distraction.

Putin, in his expectation that his invading army would be met with flowers “forgot” about the 1932 - 1933 Holodomor (death by starvation) in which MILLIONS of Ukrainians starved to death because Stalin forced them to turn over their land and their crops to Russia. Anyone who refused was shot. As I watch what is now unfolding in Ukraine and as I read about the history of this incredible people, I am outraged. I can’t begin to imagine the degree of rage Ukrainians today must be feeling as this modern day “Holodomor” is being imposed on them again with Putin’s special mix of violence and starvation. It’s a deep and justified rage, going back generations. It provides a powerful psychological fuel to fight and endure the horrible atrocity of Putin’s “special military operation”.

A part of the Holomodor that is not remembered is that as soon as the US recognized the USSR in 1932, the US plopped economic sanctions on them which, int he context of an already existing famine, produced food insecurity across the entire USSR. This is not to excuse Stalin's mistreatment of recalcitrant peasants in Ukraine, but for everyone to hopefully understand better the famine and the sanctions that produced the basis for a food emergency.

I am in Tasmania. My family is in Europe - but even if they were not we are all human. We are not distant. We are all involved. We ALL must care and Yes; We all must step up to prevent this.
We are talking about M.A.D here. We assumed we left this threat behind at the end of the Cold War and after the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (which various forces have been working to dismantle) .
We were wrong. And we have become both ignorant and complacent.
Two generations on; this seems distant history. No it isn't and the values and institutions that underpin Democracy and Freedom must be prioritised and defended.
We all reside on this 'Pale Blue Dot' - this one spinning ball of rock in space. The atmosphere, the winds and ocean currents that circle the entire globe will carry any nuclear material to every corner. Putin has revealed that he has no moral boundaries. He has already demonstrated that he won't hesitate to use chemical and other nasty weapons that target humans and leave buildings and other infrastructure intact. We must act on a global scale to stop him. We must give our politicians the very clear message that they must put aside their factional differences and they must act. This is a critical pivot point in human history - not just in Europe.

Read "Gangsters of Capitalism" to get a TRUE history of America's corrupt intervention in sovereign nations dictated by the rich and powerful. Mearsheimer? The guy who thinks that Ukrainians who speak Russian as their mother tongue must be Russian rather than Ukrainians? This war has already demonstrated how wrong he was. Those people meet Russian tanks holding Ukrainian flags and tell Russian soldiers to go home. That is, if they are civilians not fit for fighting. There are many who are fighting not with words but with guns. There is a lot of much, much better info on the history leading to this war, including the books written by the people speaking here. You think it's bad now, just keep pushing for ww3. We could all look like Ukraine and noone will have anywhere to flee for safety...
      Diplomacy, or destruction.
These are the choices forced upon Ukraine, unfortunately. Noone, not even Putin, can make Ukraine disappear, but they need to have something left to hold onto, and NATO membership does not feed you and keep you warm. This dispute, WAR, must be resolved by both parties compromising.

"Since 1945 it's been acceptable to invade your neighbor", is an unacceptable statement. There have been many neighbors invaded since 1945: Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Grenada, Panama, Yemen, Lebanon, and right now Syria is being bombed, all by "good guys" and their friends. These people have an agenda that blinds them to a full appreciation of the situation, and it is this kind of blindness which has put the Ukrainian people in the crosshairs of conflict between superpowers.

I also liked Yuvals call out to the modern Germany and the modern German people. We indeed do know how far Germany has come in the past seventy six years. My father came home full of shrapnell and was forced to train up young boys for the fronts of the second world war, which broke his heart. All forms of diplomatic actions need to be deployed before war ensues. Yet we are here, faced with, as the speakers say, an aging leader of a country that has only been propped up by it's mineral wealth, most of which is siphoned off by the oligarcal structure encouraged by the same deeply corrupted leader, who is only interested in his own legacy and personal wealth. We must do all we can to support the elected Government and the people of Ukrain without dragging the world into this conflict that is being driven by one man's ego.

It is a vestige of Nazi Germany that was big on the flag waving.
The French, the British and many other European nations have good reasons not to wave flags as a part of national prestige - it brings back painful memories that as a foreigner, you could not possibly understand.
However, as Vikings, the Danes are equally famous for murder and rape, but since that predates the flag, the symbol is not tainted.
To experience a less "funny" thing, try to go to a local bar in Denmark with a horned helmet. (No Dane ever wore a helmet with horns, but that is the symbol of rape and murder.)

“du skal ikke tro du er noget”, was not fully appreciated by me with my American sensibility of individualism; but now, in the fullness of time, as they say, I understand and embrace its deep wisdom. If there is any meaning to the global ravage of COVID and the burgeoning global war happening in Ukraine, it is this: We are all connected on this planet. We are only truly healthy when all around us are, richest when no one is poor, and most powerful when we are helping the weak among us to be strong. This is true between individuals within a nation and between all nations of the world. It doesn’t mean we become suffocatingly homogeneous and put down our flags. It means, as you rightly point out, that the love we have for ourselves we extend to our neighbors. I feel we must all come to embrace the Jantelov to some extent or there will be no individuals, no nations, and no flags. ❤️🇩🇰❤️

Because to have done otherwise, just sets them up for what is now happening. What's missing in his Great Powers approach, is the aspirations of the less powerful nation themself. Some thoughts regarding Russia's exports.
Russia is not only an exporter of oil and gas. It exports 20% of the world's wheat to countries like Egypt and Turkey who already have serious problems (hyperinflation, food insecurity). If you throw Ukraine in the mix, they have a quarter of the whole world's wheat production.
Russia, Ukraine and Belarus are huge fertilizer exporters. Another factor to add to food insecurity worldwide causing food prices to rise, further increasing inflation.
Russia also exports many basic materials that are used in the green energy sector. Another major player in this field is China. If the West looses these resources, it will be very difficult to replace fossil fuels with green energy because of supply problems, high prices.

Just a thought here. There are many options to replace wheat in our diets. Rice was used for many centuries in Asian countries. Although not a food historian, I understand that wheat was introduced as a food “ staple” as eastern and western cultures met and began to interact/trade. Rice based food products decreased. Most certainly, at this point, there is a huge reliance on wheat and would take much time to change this process. However, it is possible to have a variety of bases for our diets. Am sure we would miss our baguettes, and croissants, however, in the interest of international stability, might we be open to alterations in our food consumption staples. Who knows, we might come up with healthier and less expensive alternatives 🤔. Thoughts?

@@catebannan7343 Yes, diversifying is always a good idea. Not sure though if countries like Egypt can import large quantities of rice all of a sudden. Also, if demand for rice grows suddenly, but supply is the same, according to the laws of economics price of rice should rise too.
Fact is, a huge chunk of food supply just fell out of the market, but the demand is still there. My guess is that this will effect the price of other food items too worldwide. I might be wrong, we will see.
As for fertilizers: they are used in many plant production, not just wheat. Higher prices of fertilizers mean higher end product prices. Even worse, if some farmers can't pay for fertilizers and because of it production decreases. That would have a huge impact on supplies worldwide.

And also send in private contractors to become enriched by the borrowed money, while the mass of US/Israel/Ukraine people will inherit the public debt. The US goverment just passed 1.5trillion 'emergency' package. Mind boggling number, especially given the instance debate over a fraction of that for tax credits to lift millions of children in the US of poverty.
Around 13+billion of that 1.5trillion is for Ukraine defence support and about humanitarian aid (less than 10%). I don't know what the rest of the trillion+ will be spent on. The pentagon FY22 budget is already 740billion - 25billion more than they asked for. Its blinding obvious that violent territorial conflict and post-conflict reconstruction are highly lucrative business activities for a few, while the many pay the price one way in another. Afganiatan and its people are destroyed and it cost the public wallets of US and allied countries trillions. Its well documented that the top 5 US private military contractors made 700billion in profits, and politicians gained billions from lobbyists. It all smells like a rotten oligarchies drapped in a mouldy flags and toxic gaslight. Neither was there time to discuss other occupied countries such as Palestine, which has been occupied by Israel for 74 years. What a difference would have been made all those years ago if the west had rallied in response to Israel's illegal occupation as it did to Russia's invasion. Instead, the west watched Israel's violation of international law and supported it over the years. The Palestinians continue to suffer.

I completely agree with Kate here. I found this in the Middle East Monitor. "Where do we go from here?" writes Harari contemplatively on the occasion of Yom Kippur. He is talking about the future of Israel and the "abandonment" of the two state-solution. With its central theme of atonement and repentance, Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year in Judaism. "If not two states for two peoples, then what exactly is Israel's alternative vision? When we imagine the future, what exactly do we see there?"
Assuming that the most optimistic Israeli scenario will come true, and that it will be able to fulfil its vision in full, "What will it look like?" he asks. "Israel moved from a two-state solution to a three-class solution," pointing out that there is only one country between the Mediterranean Sea and the River Jordan. Although Harari does not mention the word apartheid he does explain that there are "three types of people" who live in territory controlled by Israel: "Jews, who will enjoy all the rights. Type A Arabs, who will have some of the rights. And Type B Arabs, who will have almost no rights."
Israel has passed the Nation-State Law becoming officially an Apartheid State - Cartoon [Sabaaneh/MiddleEastMonitor]
Israel has passed the Nation-State Law becoming officially an Apartheid State - Cartoon [Sabaaneh/MiddleEastMonitor]
Not only is this the reality today, but Harari also believes that judging by the voting pattern in the country, it seems that most Jews in Israel prefer it to stay this way forever. The lecturer at the Hebrew University in occupied Jerusalem argues that the solution of the three classes is not new and has been planned and implemented for decades with Israel unwilling to disclose its intention to the world. "Even today, when Israeli representatives give a public speech - say, at the UN General Assembly - they will not dare to speak openly about the solution of the three classes as a permanent solution. It just does not smell good."
In an insightful observation about the function of the Palestinian Authority in maintaining the political charade erected by Israel he says that it is a "unique creature" similar to "Aladdin's demon". His argument is that as far as the Israelis are concerned there is no Palestine and no PA. Israel, in their eyes, has full sovereignty over historic Palestine and the PA exists merely to absolve Israel of any blame. "When we have to shirk responsibility - for example the responsibility to vaccinate the Palestinian population against [Covid-19] - we just have to rub the lamp, and Shazam! Suddenly this creature [the PA] emerges in all its glory, removing all responsibility from us."
READ: Ben & Jerry's is wrong, Israel and apartheid are one and the same just ask its leaders
Urging Israelis to do some soul searching, he asks rhetorically: "Can we not admit that we are moving towards the solution of the three classes?" He explains: "That is, towards one country whose two million citizens are discriminated against in education, housing and policing, and whose millions more are not even eligible to vote in elections. One country, with three types of people. One country, where one type of people will always enjoy a preference for personal security, movement and employment."
The root of Israel's apparently never-ending occupation, argues Harari, stems from a worldview that puts "tribal loyalty" over all else. "Those who believe in the principle of tribal loyalty believe that the very demand for justice for those who are not members of the tribe is treason."
His final message could not be more startling: "So on this Yom Kippur, before memorising 'we have sinned, we have betrayed, we have robbed', we should first ask ourselves according to what moral principles we generally define guilt, betrayal and robbery. Do we think that Jews are superior people by nature, entitled to special privileges? Do we think that justice is sometimes more important than tribal loyalty, or that loyalty to the tribe is always superior to justice? And is there still a way to reconcile the value claim to justice with the tribal claim to fidelity, without having to choose between the two, and without the desire to do justice being considered in our places a betrayal?"
If Harari is right, then Israel is heading for a "solution of the three classes". The rest of the world will - many already do - call it apartheid, a serious crime under international law. The big question then will be, what is the world going to do about it? If experience to date is anything to go by, the answer will be, "Nothing whatsoever."

My only quibble with Mr. Harari's analysis is that the Ukraine war will in NO WAY end the culture war and thereby release the strangulation of the left upon the throats of free thought in the west, but it sure is a brief respite of a breath of fresh air.

On the other hand, I am NOT IMPRESSED with either Mr. Snyders hypocrisy at best, or his disembling evasion at worst, when witnessing his new found love of freedom suddenly bucked up or rather draped upon the stiff backbone of Ukrainian courage. Anyone who has followed his lectures and has had to suffer through his cheap, snarky comments about certain American politicians who CLEARLY are looking out for America's interests and Americans' freedom, find Mr. Snyder's recent conversion to supporting freedom lovers presumably only because they are in a foreign country, as nothing more than hollow air.

And Harari is DEAD WRONG on the point of "telling fairy tales to children" not being of consequence in formation of a country with his whimsical throw-away argument about the Grimm Brothers. America is seeing this up close and personal with inner city cultural breakdown breeding lawlessness, arson, murder, looting, illegitimacy, drug use, roving gang brutality, etc, etc, etc. What children are taught is EXTREMELY IMPACTIVE on the type of country you will have in 20 years. Hitler knew this just as firmly as the social (in)justice warrarios know this. Look up Hitler Youth in Nazi Germany is you want to see the "special relationship" the Nazis had with children, and so the world reaped the whirlwind from the seeds he sowed in his population and their children. So Harari needs to go back and do some more thinking on this point.

Why we do not have a Russian analyst in this program? How can you have a debate without no one from Russia and people from Ukraine has to explain Russian invasion. This is the whole problem. We even do not want to talk to Russians and want to cover every thing for them. Why Russia never invaded Ukraine in the past ? Why now ? Why after the whole world was just coming back from Covid. @Yoval. Can you do an interview with a Russian side and show it to world ?

  • @PeckerwoodIndustries

How do we who believe in the truths spoken among you bring these words of truth to reality? By effectively, insightfully, incisively, delivering these words to the rest of the world, most particularly where, and when they will make the most difference. You have all said this that individuals make a difference in times like this. I started by dropping essays into the comments section of DW news broadcasts that it was time for Germany to pay back the world for it's initiation of WW2 by stepping up, and defending democracy from dictatorship. I have been reminding the Russians that they starved millions of Ukrainians to death in the thirties, and that Kruschev gave them Crimea as apology for this, and now they take back their apology, and moreover add the injury of still more death and destruction to the insult of devaluing yet again those who died under Stalin? I also use the simple truism that "IT IS NOT OK TO MURDER PEOPLE TO STEAL THEIR SHIT". I also repeat that all dictators are necessarily persons who's weakness allows their egos to go out of control leading to megalomania. They are inevitably those that in the process of gathering power, and quashing dissent, exclude all other opinions, and possibilities because it is seen as a challenge to them personally. They begin to see themselves as the state, and cannot differentiate their emotions from policy making. Throughout their rise to power they do unto others as they WOULD NOT have others do unto them, and so develop great personal fear and paranoia which is reflected in the tone of their decision making. In the end most dictators neither live in peace, nor die in peace for their character flaws are their downfall. They overreach. They undertake actions warped by their flaws in the name of the people they claim to represent that nearly always cause the catastrophic destruction of their own people, and all those around them. I stress that we on the outside know this war is not their wish, but that of a madman who believes he will become historically relevant by increasing greater Russia, that he will accrue glory through every single death on the battlefield to his name in both the eyes of Russians, and enemies alike. This is where his sense of profit, and winning come from, for THERE IS NO PROFIT IN WAR, AND PUTIN CARES NOT ABOUT RUSSIANS, OR UKRAINIANS FOR THEY ARE ONLY PAWNS IN HIS QUEST FOR PERSONAL GLORY, AND SELF INFLATED GREATNESS. Xi of China exhibits all the same character flaws as has become obvious by his extremely belligerent, and grandiose words which began after he crushed his domestic opponents.
There are several Russian state broadcasts one may find easily here on youtube intended for the domestic Russian or Belarus audiences that are still open to comment. Post effective essays therein. Use whatever tone you think is most effective, but try to reach the people, the oligarchy, and Putin himself. Navalney was very effective for using a modicum of ridicule, Zelinsky is effective in his heroic optimism. I have written many essays on the spot in direct response to comment after comment switching from tongue in cheek Socratic questioning, to cold righteous rage, to the most insulting set of comparisons between what is, and what is not. Find your voice to them directly as those others have done before. Look at the effect of Thomas Paine's Common Sense had upon America just before the revolutionary war. It still holds the record for number of printed copies today. To those of clear sight, and good will now is the time too act for tyranny is at the door, and before it opens we must be of one mind, to fight and win, or to bow our heads in submission to evil.

We KNOW about Xi & his own aspirations > but Putin has backed himself onto the edge of a cliff face .with nuclear biological & other nasty weapons strapped to his person. Rather than admit failure he is ready to jump & take the world with him.
      * If you doubt this just watch the # Yevgenia Albats PVS Intv Oct 26th 2017 "The Putin Files" - where Genia outlines in very precise detail the long pathway that Putin has taken to get to this very dangerous place for all humankind. He DOES have a Fixed Delusional Disorder -.which departs from everyone else's reality - with strong paranoid themes. .
This means getting anything approaching 'reason' through to him is going to extraordinarily difficult. But if there is just One World Leader that he respects, Trusts not to' be on the 'West's side, MIGHT listen to -.that person is Xi & everyone everywhere needs to support XI'S efforts to ease him off that cliff & remove his weapons 'belt'. It's a small hope -.with a very narrow window to execute-but if anyone can find that face saving track - it is Xi. Remember the Chinese are the masters of every delicate nuance of 'saving face'.
Xi understands the immense risk not only Ukraine& Russia is facing now but the entire world. Including China. He has signaled his willingness to act. It is extraordinarily counter productive for Western leaders to keep shouting at him to openly condemn Putin.(& thus slam this fragile window shut )
We must put our political /ideological /economic differences aside to address this risk to All. No doubt these will be picked up again after this crisis -.If we have an After...

It's the old story: "The Emperor has No Clothes." In this case; the Emperor has no Empire, and neither is he an Emperor. He is a delusional sewer rat - who doesn't hesitate to play dirty.. Why? Because he's always played dirty - that's his survival mechanism. Now here he is; standing with all his hubris and ambition revealed utterly naked to the world, teeth bared and snarling. Unfortunately, this rat is also a psychopath who is now balanced on a knife edge of his own making- with a weapons belt containing nuclear, biological and other nasties strapped to his chest. He didn't start out suicidal, but you can be sure, if he thinks he's going down - he'll try to take as many of us with him as he can.
A rapid 'intervention' is called for. The question is what will it be, and by whom. Perhaps Xi can fling him some clothes and a ladder??? The geopolitical issues and competitions will always be there and be resumed - thereafter... Assuming there is an 'after'.
