100% correct. As a Brit that travels for work I never understood why people thought our food sucks, until I realised you have to know the good places to eat in the UK but everywhere else in the world nearly everywhere is a good place to eat, and you only have to know the bad places.

Lived in London for few years and yes, in London you can eat amazing food……of other countries! Of course you can find amazing Chinese, Japanese, Italian, French or Thai. As an Italian, I can clearly see how the countries he mentioned (unfortunately including UK) don’t have the culture of food, they don’t treat food as an art, or they don’t realise that something prepared with love and accuracy can literally turn your day around, and life. That’s why my heart cries when German tourists come Italy to eat king prawns sipping cappuccino 😢
I’d say my grandparents’ generation did have that passion for cooking (when most women stayed at home and could devote hours to it) but not so much any more
The food culture between Germanic and Romance cultures is noticeably different. Germanic is more comforting, hearty food that warms you up and fills a hole. It’s hilarious that Americans complain about the UK’s food.
Why? We are the most diverse country with 50 states that have varying cuisines based off of the immigration history. You can’t compare us to the British islands whose immigration has been recent.
We have some of the best Mexican food in the world (CA, AZ, TX, NM), Pizza (NYC/Chicago style), Chinese American (CA/NY), BBQ (TX, MO, NC), Creole cuisine (LA,TX) Southern(MS, GA, AL, TN, VA, NC, SC), SE ASIAN (CA, WA), Jewish Deli (NY,CA), Caribbean (FL,NY), Indian (NJ)
@@yo-yo9663 “you can’t compare us to the British Islands whose immigration has been recent”
haha, typical American small minded view, your country as you know is not even a few hundred years old, my house is older than the history of the US and you are going to try and tell me that immigration to our country is only recent compared to yours 😂 that’s hilarious.
We have all of your above examples plus a lot more.
Your a nation of low quality fast food lovers with very low food standards, you even have to bleach your meat before it’s sold because of such poor quality 😂
@@yo-yo9663 this may surprise you, but the UK also has a big mix of cultural cuisines, hell the national dish is chicken tikka.
That's much more than just chips n fish...!!!😂
A full English breakfast, Sunday roast, savory pastries or fish is also good because we are literally an island nation. My gf is french and was convinced our food was awful based on a school trip she had when she was a kid. However when I started cooking for her. She realised it's bullshit and that British food is actually amazing if you go to the right places.
That's the problem - "if you go to the right places". Everywhere else if a place is bad it shuts down, in the UK if a place is bad it's just normal and you have to know the good places.
@@trotskiftw last I checked the UK has one of the highest food standards in the world. We don't chlorinate our chicken for example lol
@@broskkuttub6543 Quality of produce and standard of paid meals served is two very different things. I'm a brit myself, I travel a lot for work to the arse end of underdeveloped countries, no where has as many objectively bad places to eat as the UK.
What types of dishes are you talking about. What do you Cook? Please o need to know
@@3cp416 look up sticky toffee pudding, good roast potatoes, full English breakfast, Eton mess, English trifle, beef wellington, Welsh rarebit, beer battered fish and chips.
Fish and chips, English breakfast, steak and ale pie, and roast dinners... British food isn't too bad 😉
You go, man
I wouldn’t think Cardi B would make the smartest decisions regarding anything
He truly does eat local. For some reason, he was just chillin at my local waterfront eating fish and chips a few years ago
In cardi’s defense she probably had to get back to the hotel and rob the guy there before the drugs wore off
I just got back from England, the food was 100% more fresh and better tasting than anything I’ve had in the states
Speak for yourself probably living in the middle of North Dakota.
Just to name a few, Texas Barbecue, Cajun food, Soul food, Southern Food are all American hell even our fast food is better gtfo comparing us to England 😂
@@azulaquaza4916 I live in California, and you would agree with me if you’ve been there. It is way more diverse, and the food is way less processed. Everything was so fresh and organic.
@@emmaolivas4005 I have been to England my friend, summer of 2018. Paid for a food tour of London and everything, the best thing was fish and chips, something I could literally get in a dine in movie theater here. Then we tried finding some fast food past 10pm, crappiest burger I ever had, then we ate at a generic Italian restaurant our last night…it was Italian…that was all.
@@azulaquaza4916 Italian food, Indian food, Lebanese food, traditional British pub food. I could go on and on. The cuisine was diverse, but I’m taking about the quality of ingredients. Sounds like you just paid for bad food mate. Doesn’t mean the food there is bad.
@@azulaquaza4916do you get off on lying to strangers on the internet?
Cardi B: "English food is nasty" proceeds to eat 7 Big Macs at one go
She’s Dominican, she knows good seasoned food. If she says it’s nasty it’s probably nasty 😂
😂😂😂😂 I love your Cardi b impersonation
The fact that "you have to know" where to eat when in London is a big giveaway that their food isn't good. Their best food is Indian food for pete's sake. Lol. If you land in Chicago, New York, L.A, Austin, etc. you just have to step off of the airport and pretty much go wherever and you'll eat something delicious. That's the difference.
The average NY deli on every corner and the 5 pizzerias per block are probably better than most of their options lol
London literally has the same amount of Michelin star restaurants as New York. I’ve been to New York and the food was okay, but I could find better back home if I wanted. Wasn’t blown away.
I think you Americans are a little too caught up in the stereotype to actually think rationally. The only thing the US had that the UK doesn’t is access to a variety of Mexican food but that’s obviously due to immigration. Really don’t understand why Americans are so eager to put down an entire nations cuisine they’ve never tried. Seems a little mean spirited.
"The taste of their food and the beauty of their women made the British the best sailors the world has ever seen"

It's not like American cuisine is any different 😂😂😂
They are most definitely different lmaoo
Depends on where in America. It is a large and very diverse country.
Bangers and mash and yorkshire puddings were amazing
British food is fantastic 😋 👌
😂😂😂😂 greasy cheesy slop yeah sure
No way dude lol
Not even British people like British food.
@@Slappys well your incorrect clearly
@@Slappys Those "British people" are not actually British, most of the time.
Y’all British colonised the whole world and still didn’t improve your cuisine lol😂 btw all love ❤keep eating chicken tikka
Our cuisine fine, you lot are morons.
America is a wonderful melting pot of culture and free enterprise. Shame we’re forgetting our greatest strength. It’ll get better!
Will you come for my Bangerz.... My beans and mash 😂
My Mother is English. I've been to England many times. I love the pub Sunday Roast Dinner! I make a roast dinner every Sunday for my family.
I'm an American, and the best meal i've ever had was in London. Beef wellington at a place called The Grenadier.
The good stuff is just simple and hearty food,.my friends from southern states eat stuff like that all the time
Your food resembles your weather, Grey, overly wet, and cold.
