- Im now walking along Argyll Street in Glasgow City Centre .
As I turned the corner I heard a busker playing, his voice is incredible belting out tunes and it stopped me in my tracks .
It was the guy I had seen on Facebook viral feeds . . his voice is incredible !
I asked a guy who was nearby, if he was in fact Ben .. Ben Monteith ? he said “Yip, Sure is.. I’m his dad “... I explained my attempts to contact Ben from Australia and would he be up for a chat..
“Ask him, I’m sure he would be “ his dad said..
As soon as Ben had finished his set I introduced myself and we were deep in chat. .. We talked about the Xfactor and his career and life goals.
He then played this cover of Lewis Capaldi - Someone you loved.
Great version and what a voice !!

He ain't wrong tho. A lot of people cover popular songs. Some good some bad. It really isnt worth stopping for a cover unless he's doing something trans-formative instrumentally. I just don't see the appeal in a guy playing a basic chord progression. His voice is great sure, but nothing makes this cover stand out. Now if he was more creative with it sure id be down. But hey, thats just my opinon
