As Nick digs into the case, he becomes entangled in a deadly affair involving three intriguing women, each with an unexpected motive for crime. Catherine Tramell is a fast-living novelist who`s fictional murders have a strange way of coming true. Roxy is Catherine`s street-wise provocative girlfriend. Sharon Stones acting is out of this world shes so good every facial movement is so controlled and the way she says each word perfectly, absolute legend
She couldn't act at all.
@@MarkHarrison733she's not acting, she was Catherine! Like Ledger's Joker
@@dominik9894 Jack Nicholson was the Joker.
@@MarkHarrison733 Then you didn‘t watch Dark Knight or you‘re 60s 70s generation. My dad also told me that Jack was like Joker from comics and Ledger is psycho and scary when you look at him.
I didn't see the snatchbox
It was hard for me to take this scene seriously with Newman there.
😂 😂
it's pretty hot under those lights eh Seinfeld....pretty...hot!
Who would go to a police 👮 station with no knickers on😱 Catherine was bold she had no fear of the police.
@@vanessalouise8988
I don’t get it; why the fCuk would i particularly care about making sure I had knickers on when going to the popoz station?
Like if I had to be interrogated for some reason, in the middle of the night, as seen plenty of times on like reality TV crime shows, i can promise you am not running into my room to get undies. Am going HALF commando! Yup. I loooove my nighttimes; who doesn’t? For me, among other reasons, it’s always time for my “hello kitty” to just breathe. So you definitely will not find me with one on, at night, in my house. Besides, them popoz ain’t supposed to know what’s going on in my “downtown” anyway!
😂😂😂 best comment
“There’s no smoking in this building Ms Tramell. What are you gonna do- charge me with smoking?”. Proceeds to light up 🚬. Fabulous 👏👏
That wouldn't fly in THIS day and age.
They would have charged her in reality.
Stone is the best, she really sells you on whatever character she’s playing
Why is sitting out in the middle of the floor 🤪
sharon stone was not the first choice for this movie…
they are so lucky to get her, bec only miss stone can portray this.
movie was a blockbuster bec of her.
Kim Basinger declined the offer. Thank god for that lol
@@GLBizzie Everybody did, the film could have easily went the other way and ended up like Striptease effectively ruining careers. Douglas was very reluctant and nervous about taking the role as it was so risky.
What I never got is what the hell Moore was thinking doing Striptease. Yea she got the big pay day but she was an already established actress who was bankable and sought after so why touch a piece of shit like Striptease?
At least with Stone she was still pretty unknown in 1992 and had she not done this film, it's pretty unlikely she'd ever had made the Alist and faded. Yea she did Total Recall in 1990 but that was Arnie's film, not hers. So her taking this film wasn't a huge risk like it was to Moore who had a string of hits behind her.
What I never understood about Stone is why her career died so soon, after her big performance in casino in 95 that she was massively applauded for she pretty much faded into oblivion and had flop after flop. I do wonder was she a victim of her own success with Basi Instinct and despite the popularity of the film and so on the role defiled her long term.
@@GLBizzieWell she became Mrs Robinson anyway
I haven't watched Basic Instinct, but just from the clip, I get the feeling that her character is an unrepentant killer. The way she taunts the detectives and tries to control the interrogation
This is a great film she should have won an Oscar for her role unfortunately I don’t think she won because the film was very risque
Catherine wasn't a woman to be trusted for the men she had sex with it ended up with them being killed the starting of the original basic instinct film 🎥 Catherine is riding Johnny during sex she ties him up to the bed with a white silk scarf and she kills him brutally.😭
A DNA test would have solved the case instantly.
Wow you must be some perceptive genius /s
@@MarkHarrison733 Catherine finger prints would have been on the ice pick ⛏️🙄
There was no leg crossing in this video, it was cut before she could cross her leg
Makes sense.
That’s how phony click bait works.
Wayne Knight had an incredible career - one of the best TV shows of all time, _Dirty Dancing,_ _J.F.K.,_ _Jurassic Park,_ _Basic Instinct._
An absolute legend and ultimate hollywood sex symbol. Deserves a walk of fame star just so the ladies can salivate over it
Don't forget Space Jam! My childhood movie! Great Movie 🏆
Or third rock from the sun
Yeah but they’re all bit parts. It’s not like he’s the lead.
@@mooganify If you looked like Wayne Knight, and you had had his career, I think you'd be deemed overwhelmingly successful.
Sadly, I met a woman just like this and it was not "fun" in the slightest bit. She was "A teacher" to say the least.
That's disturbing.
Was she as good looking?
Were you doing a police interrogation or interview and she looked like this? Unlike the movies, that must have been unnerving
Single attractive people in big cities are really crazy

Has anyone ever spliced together this scene and when newman is interrogating jerry about the mail?
yes, there's a video in YT with all the Seinfeld film quotes and Wayne Knight was actually in more than one original

So good. Great film
I don’t make the rules Nick… I go with the flow.
This movie is one among the few masterpieces in suspense movies released till date..
Superb acting by Sharon and Michael..
They were both too old, and the opening scene showed that Catherine was the murderer.
The BEST Interrogation in the Holywood history, EPic scene.
I wonder why…
Enjoying this lovely day here Lusaka Zambia
One DNA test would have solved the murder case instantly.
Because you think that she would be stupid enough to let her DNA over the place where she murdered some meat bag ??
@@rafaelarcas942 Her DNA, body fluids, hair and skin fragments would have been on the corpse and on the bed.
@@MarkHarrison733 there is a problem: just because you a touched some hairless ape ( a mean a human) doesn’t necessarily mean that you killed him yourself. It is not enough and without the murder weapon, they got almost nothing. Not even witnesses.
This movie is from 1993….DNA testing not quite like today. First conviction using DNA evidence was in 1988. I assume from a storytelling point of view DNA wasn’t in the conversation.
@@ANGELINA5461 DNA was being routinely used in murder cases by the early 1990s.
I’m sorry but this is an Oscar worthy performance
Here after I saw Peter Griffin 😂😂😂
Prayers please and Thank YOU
If they simply applied the Hot-Crazy Matrix they would have cracked the case in two seconds.
Nope, this does not include the notorious scene.
Everyone raves about Sharon Stone in this and she WAS great. But the real star is Michael Douglas. No one in earth can play frustrated angst like him. His unsung performance is the real killer in this movie. Is it any coincidence the sequel which didn’t have him in it, was such a commercial and critical flop?
He was far too old for the part. The second film flopped because the Internet killed off sex in films.
I agree to all of that but I have a sneaky feeling that if he was in it (even if real old) it would have been less of a flop. Just call it a hunch
@@chickenhits They should have made the sequel in 1993, not 2005.
I never seen Basic instinct 2 it never been shown on the television 📺 movie 🎥 channel but sequel are usually flops Michael Douglas didn't appear in it Catherine had probably killed him .😭😭
His father is even better
I haven't watch BASIC instinct.but I like the clip.
You should see the whole movie. Excellent performance, some people say this is a porn, there are some erotic sex scene, so what. She just played the character as a sexy serial killer.
Amo Sharon Stone linda
Sorry for the spoiler but in this version it says “Hello Newman”
Hello 👋
This is an electrifying sequence from this block-buster. Many of the sentences in the dialogue were laced with the 'F' word, but the manner in which Ms.Sharon Stone used it, she gave it CLASS. "Have you come to arrest me, so read me my rights or else get the F out of here". Sharon was outwardly exuberant, drawing people to her with the sense of an easy intimacy, but there were areas of her life that were walled off, don't-go-there-zones, and she coldly shuts down the moment she feels a glimmer of invasion. In Basic Instinct, her character Catherine Tramell may seem violent at times, but there was a juxtaposition of violence and tenderness.
I just watched it right now it's 2am here now lol
When she says "Yes, it does" , her cigarette isn't lit
What are you going to do? Charge me with smoking?
They would have in reality.

The police would have just taken her DNA.

@@mooganify DNA had been used in criminal cases since 1985.
In a major city like SF, DNA testing was affordable. But I guess the 1992 public didn’t know what DNA was like today, hence this movie being able to get away without doing it.
