This is great! I remember when Bigfoot 8 debuted in the TNT Monster Truck Challenge. It was so dominate that they ended up banning it for half the season so other trucks could catch up. Does anyone have any of that old TNT Monster Truck Challenge footage?
Brings back some memories, got to visit the shop in the early 90s while on vacation as a kid, also I had the Bigfoot Strikes Again VHS, actually think I still have it somewhere lol
I know this is from a decade ago lol, but BF8 also ran late-1989/early 1990 TNT events when it was all blue and had the BF6 rollbar (can also be seen during the 1990 USHRA Anaheim event). Non were televised though but I've seen a photo and Bob Chandler confirmed this on Facebook a while ago.
You are correct and yes I do know all that. What I meant was that all the hoopla w/ Bigfoot probably aide jack willman not to participate in any important TNT events or even run the series
there have always been politics in monster trucks, the sad part is they have no place in the sport. everyone has the freedom to believe what they want, whether right or wrong. just please dont preach to others, as some might be new and take the information as fact when in fact it was clouded by an opinion.
its funny how abanks1959 comment was removed. Hey abanks1959 look for yourself at bob chandler saying about the everett's complaining. the video is in youtube. Now what I ve written here is an extension of many others that have bloged about it for years regarding this and other situatuions with in the monster truck community.
@@dragonfly492 Something to do with Everett Jackson, if I recall. I dunno, man. You're the one replying to a 13 year old comment from back when youtube comments didn't have threads.
Wrong truck, Bigfoot #8 is still in the hands of the Bigfoot crew (though its mainly used for display and exhibition purposes these days) its not longer a race truck. Bigfoot #9 was the one lost to the Brazilian customs debacle.
Also Everett Jasmer complained about BF 8 and he had TNT change a ruling on the engine size to fit him and his truck. He had 5 572 ci engines including the one the truck ran and the rule was going to be to downsize to 500 ci. Scott Stevens did complain to. This controversy in fact aided the new Taurus racer from '89 not to run with TNT eve though Taurus was coil sprung wich was legal. If Chandler would have put coilovers insted of the cantiilever system history would have been so different
Jasmer and Stephens were just crybabies, the couldn't handle losing is all it amounted to. Neither one of them could build a truck that could run with Bigfoot #8 so they did the next best thing and got it banned from competition, the funny thing is though, the Bigfoot crew came back to compete with the then outdated Bigfoot #4 and still whooped their asses. I am a Ford guy and Bigfoot will always be my favorite Monster Truck, but I always thought USA-1 was a very competent performer and one of the few that actually stood a fighting chance against Bigfoot however, I kind of lost respect for Everett Jasmer after I watched a video series here on youtube that documented his lobby to get #8 banned from competition, he came off as arrogant and petty.
JerOutlaw I didn’t say that. but since you insist. nascar died too when they stopped using factory built cars. when it comes to drag racing. I only watch the street classes. cause those other classes don’t use actual cars.
Jim: "Its almost impossible to flip!"
Andy: Are you challenging me?!

no roll cages were already intergrated from the main frame of the truck in the cab, Bigfoot 8 was the first to have a complete tube chassis
I love the muffler on #8 and 9, lets you hear that supercharger more.
I just came here to see Bigfoot.
You can't beat the sound or the power of that old big block pushrod Ford
Long live Bigfoot the original monster truck that paved the way for all the others to follow
thanks for this vid I was born in 84 and was and still am a big BIGFOOT fan I just love watching the stuff from when Monster trucks was monster trucks
8:57 ! That truck had a crazy power to weight ratio. It was fun to watch.
Bigfoot 8 debuted at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. He ran some USHRA races in 1990 before going to TNT.

good eyes, yes that is Bigfoot 9, as Bigfoot 8 ran the more standard up and down nitrogen shocks after finishing the 1990 tnt season
I noticed back when this video came out that the truck that Bob and Gary were in front of was not #8.
Dumb question whatever happened to number 8 it kinda just disappeared.
It is used as a display truck currently.
hey, did they sell bigfoot 7 for $50k?
What is the name of that song at the begining????
@blowersho I can try I am currently moving at the moment though

What are you talking about?
@@dragonfly492 Something to do with Everett Jackson, if I recall. I dunno, man. You're the one replying to a 13 year old comment from back when youtube comments didn't have threads.
yes
it's a shame that this truck got stolen over in Brazil
No, it was number 9.

It wasn't the use of the cantilever, but it was the use of the nitrogen shocks on the cantilever suspension.
big foot 4 2.0
cant believe you took bigfoot4x4 copyright video and are using it.
The first monster dune buggy lol. monster trucks died after 8 was created
Because no other form of motorsports uses tube framed chassis's at all huh
JerOutlaw I didn’t say that. but since you insist. nascar died too when they stopped using factory built cars. when it comes to drag racing. I only watch the street classes. cause those other classes don’t use actual cars.
JerOutlaw I go to the mud bogs to see real monster trucks. not oversized dune buggy’s
coyote 5.0 one of those elitest types, gotcha.
JerOutlaw nope. Just speaking the truth.
