Snow and ice on Kenyon hill in West Seattle

The first snowstorm and ice made it impossible for regular cars to scale the steep hill of SW Kenyon St. in West Seattle on Jan. 16, 2012. However, four wheel drives and those with chains could do the steepest part with only a bit of fishtailing. In 2008, the hill was impassable for two weeks around Christmas and New Years and saw a few crumpled cars at the bottom of the hill. This is taken where SW Kenyon intersects with 5th Ave. SW, looking up Kenyon to The Overlook apartments.
