Game Description:
The story behind Drowned God takes place under the notion that the human race was genetically engineered by god-like aliens that even guided us through history by nudging civilization forward with certain artifacts of power. Four of those artifacts (The Ark of the Covenant, The Philosopher's Stone, The Rod of Osiris and the Holy Grail) are now lost and they are the key to unlocking a series of mysteries that somehow tie up practically every conspiracy theory from the Knights Templar to the Illuminati. It is up to you now to gather this artifacts and solve the mysteries as you are sent through time and space from an alternate dimension reminiscent of earth.

This is probably the most distressing ending of the game, simply because its the most plausible. And keep in mind the game itself is over 20 years old now. Scary, its prophetic power.
it is strange to have the blue mask guy tell you what may indeed be true then get a bad ending where you find out that you are a fool, very distressing

I mean... Is it really prophetic when this was originally written in the '80s? When there were quite a few totalist states that had fell or were still around?
@@hyperion3145 It actually came out in 1996, where there seemed a glimmer of hope for the future. Alas, between 9/11 and Trump, I'm increasingly thinking the ending in Melchut would be more merciful.
"All Hail Discordia!" - ah, so Horse was directly referencing Robert Anton Wilson's Illuminatus Trilogy/Mythos. I enjoyed the monologue; basically, it was all bait trying to get the "rational" player to select it. I'm not certain what Malchut was influenced by, but Kether is basically all R.A.W. The presence of Men in Black (and the Fool card) suggests it's simply two flavors of the same thing. Bequest ending is just an enigma - Aliens are responsible for our creation, perhaps they can offer something else entirely, but you must wait and wait and wait.
Kether, Malkuth, Binah, Chokmah, and Chesed, all of which are referenced in the game (if not more than these, I’ve only seen clips) are all sepiroth on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, which is a symbolic map of creation itself. The words are all Hebrew and mean Crown, Kingdom, Understanding, Wisdom, and Mercy, respectively.

Kether, the higher Tarot Arcana and the topmost in Kabbalah Tree of Life, The Crown and Unity, i respect you to shown this ending but the Malchut and Bequest Globe endings are marked as private. Maybe you discovered the secrets that cannot be shared.... Ok, serious i'm very sad i couldn't get this game when it was on (98/99 or so) but i'm still suprised how actually great and deep this thing was. Thx for those videos.

Strangely I like the little speech here, "There is no conspiracy (etc etc), there is only CHAOS!" I like how it's literally a PERFECT subversion/deconstruction of just how ridiculous conspiracy theories really are. That being said, I dig this game from what I've seen of it, mysticism and "tangled webs" are fun.
the game says you are a fool for taking this path though, suggesting that while the blue mask guy is probably right that listening to what he said made you blind to any possible truth in conspiracies, unusual.
I didn't realize it before. It was all there right along: The King's Two Bodies.
The key to understanding this is found in Lacan's description of the myth of the Two Painters. Nice easter egg in there with the list of names includes Jean Cocteau.

Deep space travel is an impossibility, as well as global thermonuclear war. Onassis had already gained corporate control over the casino's in Las Vegas in the 60s. He was direct descendant of Tamerlane of the Ottoman Empire. Jackie O was his Daughter. Funny how the obvious is not so obvious. The holy grail did not exist, it was a Moldavite. Moses, Akhenaten and Thoth the Atlantean (and Oedipus) were the same person.

This game was literally made for certain schizophrenics and autists. So wicked. Hint: drowned god means the god that started all life which he started from goldilocks zones and the sun. From those he started life in the water using algea to spread life slowly through billions of years. Yea
He's called drowned god because he began in the water to spread life through out all lands of the earth
why are the other endings private? isis was no saint, she was a lowlife witch, there is all this mythology about a "godess", actually mother earth "the goddess" is no saint, she is evil... for most religions in the world...yin yang etc...baphomet is a name of a demon,who would trust such a testimony? anyway, hocus pocus.... can i see the other endings?
