I have worked all kinds of jobs, repetition, working with and without people, sitting, standing, mixed sitting and standing, talking, listening, healthcare, education, babysitting, taking tickets, intensive labor, jobs where it seems like there’s nothing to do, and I will tell you they are all challenging. No job is perfect. Pay matters and being overly stressed is a no. I would quit too.

This remind me when I use to work as customer service associate with a telecom company,I know how stressful it can be, it requires lots of patience because you get to speak customers with different issues, they even treat you like you are the cause of the problem even when you are trying your best to help resolve issues but it's somehow fun though, some customers are nice and some are funny.

Just as other’s were saying in the Post it takes a really Resilient person as well as a Patient person to do this. I don’t know if you continued on this path and if you did I wish you the best and it will get better. I have been in this field for 24 years, but I love helping people. This is what I do now. Most of the people that call in are okay. The ones that are terrible can send me into absolute chaos mentally. Shaking. Throwing my whole day off balance. Mainly because I’m restricted on what I can say back. Always having to back down. It’s so hard when they get really nasty. Work listens in on calls and score you. Based on one call. Some of the people want to keep going in circles with no end in sight. Some are absolutely venomous. The ones that ARE nice, make it worth it. I find that very young women and some very old women are the worst. The in between are fine. People with foreign accents are always kinder and very respectful. Honestly , they are my favorite calls. 💙🦋

Right! When I first arrived here some years ago I was eager to get a job and start immediately and the first opportunity I got was to work in a call center. My husband was almost on his knees begging me not to try it because he had done that job as a student many years before I joined him and he said that not only will they work you to the bone but the pay is never commensurate to the mental and emotional abuse from customers and your supervisor. Looking back I thank God that I listened to him because years later I still haven't met a single person who has anything nice to say about this job.
Faith, the part you were praying fervently not to encounter any mean customer made me so teary eyed and I wish I could give you a hug 🤗. Don't worry, these are initial teething problems and you will look back on this day and laugh about it very soon. Love you!

This reminds me of the time I use to work with Airtel in Ibadan as customer care representative, 9 hours shift… This job is draining sincerely… Some customers are really nasty while some can be really sweet… I almost cried after a call, I had to go on short break cause I was having serious headache and my line manager was shouting at me at the same time… Sometimes, I just leave the place to cool off before going back.. Mehnnnn, I resigned ooooo

i've got no qualifications at 35, left school with none and did bar work lol for minimum wage for years... then got into call centres, then sales, then business to business sales, now on retentions and make quite decent money. The thing is, a standard customer service role is a job that you just need to be upfront and brutally honest with someone complaining. Just explain whats going on and why and what you can or can't do. After you've done this, that's the end of the conversation. If they explain the same thing in different ways and repeat themselves, tell them I know you've said this and I've said this if the conversations done tell them - but don't be swayed.
Then in sales it's the same but you need to connect dots have proper conversations to get a proper understanding and build the need for whatever the product you sell is and that's where the money is for working class people with no qualifications... every sales job also has loopholes to find and ways to do things which increase your bottom line & take home pay.
UC is also only reduced now at 55p to the £1 & childcare costs are only covered for if you're in work so you are always on more money by being in work than by being only on UC.
Watching a recommended video like this makes me want to make a YT video to explain to people like you are struggling mentally how to look at things for facts and what they are - detach yourself emotionally from work put the time in and how to look at things logically - including finances to see why being in work pays and how this is actually better long term for mental health, as well as financially, beyond that it's how to look for opportunities and the ability to see clearly what you're doing day to day in a more positive and factual way.

Hi everyone. Can someone please tell me if there are any genuine work from home jobs. I can't go out to work due to health issues. I don't care what it is. I am more than happy to sit at the kitchen table just stuffing envelopes all day. I can remember when I was young everyone's mum seemed to be doing some kind of job at home. Mine stuffed envelopes, made dress jewellery, hats and even putting string handles on paper carrier bags. Anyone remember those. I live in Wellingborough Northamptonshire so if anyone knows of companies in my area that use homeworkers please let me know. Thanks.

@@FaithOjone haha.. i cant remember..its several years ago..but theres a busy button u press and the call goes to another customer service agent..but u cant do that too many times or else your manager will notice.. so i would divert like 3 calls and answer one, if i got a good person i would stay on the call as long as possible to while away time😀😀.. or tell the person u will speak to the manager and get back, put on mute and take some seconds to catch your breadth... It will even be easier for u to do this working from home since theres no oga there to see u... I didnt tell u ooo🙈🙉🙊🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️... But jokes apart, your mental health is VERY important, in this short review u mentioned about much u didnt like the job countless times so if it stresses u so much and the financial burden wont be unbearable, pls quit.. God bless and direct your path🙏
