*proceeds to not answer the riddle and asks Ethan for help*
😂😂😂😂😂
always ask the best speciialist
Ethan's right. After the last movie Fallout, if there's a nuclear bomb around, you bother him with it immediately.
True
What about Ghost Protocol?
It should bother everybody. Fortunately, it was a trick in the end.
I like how these movies turned into an ensemble cast rather than just having the one hero doing all the cool stuff.
it wasn't a bomb it was an interrogation device and it worked perfectly at that🤣🤣🤣
The Mission Impossible franchise had always preached the no man is an island theme, everyone needs help and no one can do the mission alone, even if you’re tom cruise.
exactly!
It started off as that, but then the reoccurring cast member went off and did other work and became famous in the process. So now it's an ensemble.
This movie is different kind of experience if you watched it on theaters, the sound and everything feels more powerful. And the camera is so dynamic I love it
I noticed so quickly in the desert shootout, that the bullets that hit their target, had a noticeable punch that stood out, I loved this movie
I mostly thought it was a bit weak (and I am a huge fan of the series), but you are right about this part. Hopefully the second part will be much better.
YESSS!!
I know right
@@dimitarmargaritovi agree, especially the boring villain
3:27 that right there is peak acting. Simon Pegg really knows how to sell anxiety in a scene. Maybe there is something about the comic relief being so panicked.
After that, he retired to London police and never again panicked XD
Pegg was a genius addition to the franchise.
yea, but what a stupid plot. his friends are important to him and that's embarrasing ?
@@TheSwissGabberNo it isn’t. How is admitting that your friends are important to you embarrassing?
@@TheSwissGabberit’s not that he is embarrassed, it is that he doesn’t want to give the entity more information about himself.
4:42 The way Ethan says "20 seconds?" I could feel how terrified he is about that; the fact you think you have potentially 20 seconds of life left.
4:48 He delivers that line so fucking perfectly. When he asks the questions the fear in his voice really sells the situation. Cruise is a legend.
The one that got my attention was the ".. stop. Stop! STOP!" - I grew up watching Ethan. Him being uncomfortable makes me uneasy. Legend actor.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought it was an amazing delivery from Tom. Great detail 💯
I love his acting, too bad he's into scientology.
In my honest opinion, the Entity, who is physically formless with several billion voices, is the most incredibly dangerous, ruthless, intelligent, cunning, calculated, unpredictable, deadliest, terrifying, and powerful foe than all the combined villains from the Mission Impossible movie franchise.
Yeah. The point of the bomb wasn’t just for a distraction. It was to get benjis voice print to copy it and later to use it against Ethan
Entity calculated Ethan's probability of defeating it, and hence asked Gabriel to kill Ilsa, so that Ethan kills him in revenge and never gets to know about the true purpose of golden key and where it leads. What if the entity next target is Julia?
@mayankroy5456 If the Entity's next target is Julia, then that will make Ethan incredibly afraid that he will lose her again the same way he lost Ilsa along with a few other people from his past, and it will severely break him both mentally and psychologically.
@@kiranpunnoose2441 It will destroy him and he will stop at nothing to kill Gabriel. Entity's chances of winning will increase
That's what the Entity would say.
It's no wonder why this film scored so high on Rotten Tomatoes critic ratings. The plot, music, and acting are just phenomenal.
Simon peg can't seem to do serious at all. Every time he's in something he's a slightly flustered caricature of a British guy.
his acting in this scene is all I've seen and that was enough.
@@Jafmanz It's an interesting hill to make your stand on.
Name 1 film SImon Peg is in where he isn't Simon peg?@@Telruin
@@Jafmanz Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose
But this really isn't a discussion I want to have. I'm saying that it's a weird fight you have chosen to have. What are you trying to achieve here?
@@Jafmanzthat's every British actor
Haven't seen anyone else point out, but this is the scene where the ai records Benjy's voice, which it then uses to impersonate him and trick Hunt later on.
it also uses Benji's voice from the previous mission impossible movie. word for word
Imagine getting trolled by a fookin' nuke
Which wash't even real by that point
I saw Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1 in theaters, and I have to say this movie is attention-grabbing action-packed greatness. Every second of this movie was amazing. It's a shame it wasn't a box office success.
Because the producers stupidly released it during Barbenheimer.
@@everythingisawesome2903I think it’s just because they had to get it into theatres because it had already been delayed by covid multiple times. They couldn’t afford to delay it again. They had to get it into theatres
There are a lot of different reasons why Part 1 wasn't as big as it could have been.
1. Just plan bad marketing. Honestly the only reason I even knew about this movie before its release was because I saw an ad for it while at the movies for Top Gun: Maverick. Beyond that, I saw maybe 1-2 ads on RUclips a few days to a week before its release. Other movies have whole months of advertising.
2. Massively bloated budget. Even while pulling in $500 million at the box office, it barely broke even and will likely no make a profit because COVID and the delays and shutdowns from it, ballooned the budget to a massive $291 million.
3. As someone else mentioned, it had only 2-4 weeks of 'juggernaut' status before being eclipsed by Barbie and Oppenheimer. I heard that Tom Cruise was personally paying theatres to play MI:DR over Barbie or Oppenheimer, but given that those two movies were way bigger draws, it didn't bode well.
4. It's full of action, but its rather long for a movie. Being just short of 3 hours, this is the kind of movie that requires most of a day's dedication to go to the theatre and enjoy, whereas shorter movies can be enjoyed whenever. These longer runtime movies always suffer from this in the theatres, especially since most people do not want to go to a movies after like 6-7PM.
@@bengilhooly3616 I think the problem was as action packed the movie was it just wasn’t that interesting. The bad guy is just some formless AI no legendary villain like Phillip Seymour Hoffman. And the stunts were not nearly as cool or memorable as scaling the Burj Khalifa or hanging off the side of a plane
@@pineapplegamer6986 tbf, this movie is a two parter. The second part will probably be more interesting
When the nuclear symbol popped up I was like, "No way! The entire last movie was trying to get back three of those things, now all of a sudden this one just pops up in the middle of an airport bag!?"
Also... When he was on the last dial and he didn't know what letter to use I facepalmed, "BRO!! You're on the last freaking dial, just use all of them!!"
goes to show that sometimes a nuclear bomb is not a nuclear bomb it if is asking you questions with a timer and you can answer as that thing was nothing more then an interrogation device to analyze a person with questions and test them nothing more then that
You can't assume that will work, many high security lock has limited retries. For example, nuclear warheads are designed to disarm it self it code is incorrect for certain amount of times, and it can only be reset by sending it back to the factory.
Even your smartphone has this feature built-in. 6 digits of password is very weak, but even with only 1 digit being known, after few attempt, you will soon have to wait a few years to try entering the password again. Some phone can even be programmed to wipe itself on multiple failed login.
As it turns out, pressure exists
Ethan : “A nuclear bomb is something you bother me with immediately!! How much time?!”
Benji: “20 seconds”
Ethan: 💀💀
😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
“A nuclear bomb is something you bother me with immediately!!" LOL
5:03 He's stress to save the day to make the answer "goodluck code" makes me die of laughing!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even with every other action sequence in the movie, I think the airport one is my favorite. Well paced, tense, doesn't need the big, bombastic action to keep it very engaging.
I remember that when 3:26 played out in theaters, the entire room jus went "Aww" with his answer
The fact that this piece of art was smashed because of ''barbenheimer'' is just unfair...
I remember sweating watching this scene, I was nearly off the seat!
Barbenhiemer is overrated af.
I really don't understand how another movie's success can overshadow another movie that should be a surefire hit anyway. I'm sure Part Two will be huge though.
tbh I didnt even know there was a new mission impossible movie hah
I kinda blame Barbinheimer for this movie not making a lot of money, it deserves so much more
They shouldn’t have released it at the same time then.
Very sneaky how the antagonist is sampling Benji's voice for use later.
2:17-2:19 I know who isn't afraid of death, Benji. Puss In Boots.
Tom Cruise's devotion to realism extends so far that they used a real nuclear bomb for this scene! This is truly a masterpiece!
"This one's bouta turn into Oppenheimer if we don't crack the code!"
I loved every second of this movie and I'm glad it's on digital.
Humanity vs AI - I love it in movies. So good in Terminator and Dead Reckoning Part 1.
imagine going through that whole thing and finally disarming the bomb with literal seconds left only to find out it wasn't going to explode and was specifically built just to fuck with you.
"What gets bigger the more you take away..."
Mimir: well there done... this took me days to figure... or the script could tell them the awnser...
It took someone to die for Mimir to get the answer.
This is legit, one of the best film expenses of my life! I have never felt more suspense, anxiety, excitement, fear, and breath, holding tension, then this film!
I was wondering what was going to happen when the wheels of the bomb spelled 'U R DUNN', and was surprised that the entity knew who Benji was, and if he would ever get defused! 😯
Agent Carter is extremely beautiful.
Mission Impossible 1: The bomb will explode
Mission Impossible 7: The bomb is alive, and wants to play a game
This film was an absolute blast to see in cinemas. Cannot wait for part 2
Mission Impossible movies have consistently been bangers
This is what is happening when your luggage doesn't reach your destination
This scene is a masterpiece
Luther: instantly computes a large combinatorial in his head
Also Luther: fails to solve a single elementary school riddle
“We didn’t want to bother you.” Me too, Benjy. Me too.
Got here 16 minutes after this was uploaded :)
Edit: that aside, i like this scene because it shows how dangerous the entity actually is, being able to find out who you are or find out more through situations such as this one and giving the IMF team a run for their money AND tricking them at the same time. This also gives us a warning of what happens irl is we start relying on AI too much.
Edit 2: the title u see here is not the original video title. The original title was “……… speaking nuke” I don’t remember the full title tho
the Entity must have changed it :)
If you saw this movie in theaters, The Suspense was so real in this movie and you could feel Your anxiety going through the roof watching the movie
Imagine the message displayed “u just got trolled :)”
And this is at the start of the movie, it's awesome
That nuclear bomb looks more like a modern espresso machine with a retro style display.
An incredibly great scene, but you almost have to watch it in the theaters to get the full experience.
it's empty so much for it being a nuclear bomb or bomb of any kind🤣🤣🤣
It could have been such a great movie ......
Imagine thinking your problem is getting caught and it escalates to a nuclear bomb threat in 20 secs 😂😂😂
This is a very good movie
The shear emotion behind Tom cruise’s “20 seconds..” makes this scene
Waiting patiently for part 2...
A random person in the movie is probably thinking where is my bag
so that’s what they do with my baggage
Hayley Atwell is _so_ pretty.
Best scene of the movie
1:14 “No not D-O-N-E; D-U-N-N… that’s my last name…”
Him both realizing that the AI already knows who he is and that it knew he’d be the one to find the bomb… bone chilling.
Nice little touch to show Benji profusely sweating at the end there.
Luther what is happening? Nothing to worry about everything is under control!😆
3:50 shoutouts to Brok and Mimir!!
This scene parallels the ending train derailment sequence except that Ethan does not leave empty handed. It even ends with a good luck.
To be fair, I would argue that no one is truly unafraid of death. It’s a biological instinct that no one can be entirely rid of.
The piano part reminded me so much of "The Firm"
This has to be the most impractical bomb in the entire history of cinematography.
It's not a bomb. Its purpose is to record and sample Benji's voice for later use.
@@zilun Commented before finished watching it.
Barbie and Oppenheimer completely overshadowed this movie. Damn.
What a shame isn't it ?
IF this movie was released just 2 months later, it would have smashed records.
Barbie what a horrible movie. Watch 2 min. Walked away.
box o' m-n-ms inside🤣
This movie is so tensed, from the very start, it takes you from the edge of your seat and then sit again only on the floor.
good movie.
The NTT was windows on servers but now serving only it self 😊
Anyone else distracted by the airport terminal scene all being shot in Grand Central Birmingham 🤣
Ethan is like "okay, I've dealt with bombs before, we can get out of this"
"How much time?"
"20 seconds"
*"20.. seconds?"* Nah we screwed
ChatGPT did pretty well with these riddles, but for the 'speak without a mouth' answered 'a rumor' or 'a thought'. Interesting
You are Dunn.
Damn, that is one hell of a way for an ai to force a threat to train the AI
Simon fkn Pegg, you feel it
14 positions on a wheel. 45 seconds remaining. No way he'll try all of them.
Part 2 can’t wait
The soundtrack here goes stupid hard
I love how I recognised Simon Pegg instantly 😂
Intense scene.
That is a cool suitcase
How much time to do have? 20 seconds.
Ethan's face "gg"
I liked Hayley Atwell in this film. Nice to see her again.
The fact they didn't think about googling the riddles
I feel like the entity is gonna remind me of brother eye from dc and ultron from marvel .
ultron wasnt that vulnerable .. looks entity 😮
It's funny to me that his movie was basically Eagle Eye but with better writing and actors.
So this is the universe where Tony Stark is played by Tom Cruise.
How ??
Love Luther my favorite he looks like teddy bear don't kill him
Believe it or not I am an extra in this scene. I am sitting down on a chair at 0:38 seconds in in the background. Grey jacket. So funny.
Cool! I see you mate
This is why TC will be the king of the theaters...pure entertainment, scripts, stunts and 0 woke stuff with no propaganda.
Define woke
Woke = Awake. It's 6 am and I'm very woke right now, wishing I weren't because I want to get more sleep.
Not woke = asleep. Very desirable state right now.

My goodness, she is so stunning 😊
This movie is a whole other experience in IMAX. It’s amazing
When you see Pegg you know it's just comedy
Is there ever a time when these countdown situations are solved before the very last CVNTHAIR of time is left over?
No im not stressed cause of how close a call it was.
Quite the opposite.
Im jaded and bored.
Cause i know it will get solved sometime within the last 1 second. Every. Single. Time.
Well.....There's that scene in _The Sum of All Fears_ where, by the time they figure out that there's a nuke in the football field where the president is attending a game, it's too late, so they just get the president and a handful of others out by the skin of their teeth, leaving thousands to die in the blast.....Now, some would say getting him out would be a success or a solution, but I dunno......To me, it's not a solved problem if the bomb goes off!
@@19TheFallen I'm inclined to agree.
that's nobody's problem but yours.
4:40 "Sorry Ethan, I think after dealing with nuclear bombs twice, you'd get used to it."
It always has been
This might be the most intense and paranoia filled scene in MI history since the iconic Langley Heist.
Why in every single movie is the bomb disabled about 1 second away from it going off?
Look for points of connections of parts. This thing. 😏
2:52 Gotta wonder what Grace was thinking. One minute she's tracking a mark to steal from him, then some random guy in a suit shows up trying to make a deal and spouting random riddles. And she's more than willing to randomly answer them?
Hey!
Isn't this a refernence to Stephen Kings Dark tower!?
