I'm an Anglo-Israelite. Rabbi Singer provides a better foundation for my beliefs and ads areas of information about Israel which provide data which I can use to support any conversation I might have with a Jewish person, hopefully without offending. To date Rabbi Singer is the only teacher who doesn't have a personal axe to grind as to the job Israel is meant to perform. I've come across some information as to America and her future may hold found in Isaiah 18. Any comments would be appreciated.
I'm not Jewish, but I see you're dreaming. The Torah has 613 commandments for Jews and the 7 Noahide commandments for Gentiles. There are no Anglo-Israelites in Torah Law.
Rabbi Singer has a point regarding getting through certain books of the Bible. This happens to readers of the Hebrew Bible and Christians as well. Many get quite into the lessons of Genesis and actions of Exodus, but Leviticus- despite the invaluable lessons, has long been a stumbling block. Judges has always been an exciting read, and naturally the stories of David and Solomon, and the Wisdom books have universal appeal. But for a chapter like Isiah, even someone like me is here, more of a New Testament type, but who still wants a good lecture to supplement a commentary by Robert Atler. .

Bordeaux is a lovely town. Take all the pictures from the outside, but do not enter the Christian (you'll find most are Catholic ) places of idol worship. Unfortunately, the RCC has had a lot of power over the years. Thank you for this lecture. Hopefully this one will be saved from disrespectful comments. As for the last part of the speach. Are in these days "orphans and widows" to be taken only literally or also as those who do not know their Father in heaven, lost their ways, were in exile, are refused by Jews to be recognized as a part of God's nation?
It is true Artscroll is good. There are several print types. Also there is an interlinear English/hebrew Chumash (5 books or Moses). Koren publications is also good. But the Gutnick version has expanded the meanings with more to say about the passages. Just be aware they are expensive.
Why do I get the sense multiple dialogues are going on in the book Isaiah? GOD told Isaiah about the one who comes in the name of ‘peace’ promising to save any and everyone; he calls himself ‘the God of Israel’; the destroyer who speaks to the messenger in the name of peace; the people who join up with the strangers gathered by him; and Isaiah writing all the ‘wonderful’ promises the destroyer will make to an unsuspecting people on a scroll (Isaiah 8:1), he fully anticipates will the be the spark of the flame. Rabbi Tovia, my parents never even told me about the 10 commandments let alone any bible stories. My dad told me when I was 4 that I would die one day and it terrified me. Does God hate me for not knowing who he is and will I be killed for my ignorance? I cry every day because I'm so lost and hate myself for my sins. Please reply to me. Am I irredeemable?
God certainly accepts sincere repentance and forgives the repentant sinner for her transgressions. If you are a Jew, return to traditional Judaism. If you are a Gentile, keep the 7 Noahide commandments. Good luck.
Gd does not want you to beat yourself up ! You are a beautiful creation . I sinned, too. I have alot of regret and don't do the things that caused others or myself pain or shame or losses. If you are sincere and turn back to GD, he is merciful and has forgiven you. Now, take yourself off the hook ! May you find Truth and Peace on all your paths.
Believe me jews had much bigger sins to worry about, yet god forgives a person who repents. Tanach is full of stories of Jews doing wrong and coming back. So stop beating yourself up, what you are doing today and tomorrow that what counts.

@@restgalaxy4285 The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings: 613 commandments for Jews and the 7 Noahide commandments for Gentiles.
To ride a bike it’s not enough to study the books. NT took trinity from Egyptians and virginity from Greco Roman paganism, mixed it with a Jew who says in Mathew I did not come to change the law but to enforce it and created Christianity. Islam took a few bits from Tanach and added to it the hate towards the Jews, proclaimed Mohammed as the last prophet and forced people to convert. God does not force , he expects us to come to him by our own free will, like Ruth.
The recognition of the Jewish Messiah historically does not fit the biological lineage point of view but fits perfectly the spiritual lineage of Gods Spirit point of view. FIRSTLY, King David who came after King Saul does not match. King Saul is from the tribe of BENJAMIN while King DAVID is from the JUDAH. But it was the SPIRIT of God that was in King SAUL that came to king David. Even wbwn the Jesus Christ introduced himself in the synagogue quoting from the scriptures saying, the SPIRIT of the Lord is upon me .And in the Last days God will POUR out his SPIRIT on all FLESH. It is the SPIRIT of God in a person that qualified him or her to be called a child of God.

Great lecture. Thank you Rabbi.
But for a chapter like Isiah, even someone like me is here, more of a New Testament type, but who still wants a good lecture to supplement a commentary by Robert Atler. .

Without the body, the spirit cannot do a damn thing. Keep the 7 Noahide commandments and stop promoting idolatry.
Have archeologists found any of the 185000 bodies?
