  • Over the next four months I will be taking you through the entire training of a student doing his commercial helicopter license from start to finish. We will be mostly flying the Guimbal Cabri G2 but he will also be flying the Robinson R44 and the R66. We will be doing every flight exercise right from effects of controls through to autorotations, all types of helicopter emergencies, confined area landings, and up to the flight test at the end.
    The students name is Sam Adams and you can follow him on
    IG: @heysamadams
    RUclips: / @heysamadams
    He is just getting his RUclips channel up and running so go show him some love.

    Really interesting to watch you train and coach the pilot. You have a very good demeanor with trainees and so calm

    I'm running out of words for the scenery.. what a staggeringly beautiful country you live and work in.
    A sightseeing trip over there is definitely on my bucket list.
    Keep the videos coming.. I can't get enough of them ! Lol.
    I kept clicking 'like', but it still only counts as one.. pity :-)
    Cheers.

    I started my PPL/H on Cabri G2 in the Paris subburb in France 4 month ago and your videos are for me the greatest source of inspiration ever.
    Sam, you're doing a great job and the way you're managing things (smooth and relax) is very impressive.
    Misha, I like the way you make youre students feeling confident. My FI is applying the same rules and mood. And the result is quite the same, I hope my skills are improving week after week.
    But the most interresting is (keeping things relative) that each time you share a video, it is in line with my weekly lesson.
    Last week I was improving the coms, this week I will start to discover the R44.
    So, thanks again, it's always a pleasure for me to watch your videos and your country is so beautiful...

    wow man this was an awesome video because it shows life as a pilot not as a student... Love that you got to do some work while still in flight school. One lucky man Sam.

    Awesome video the only thing I wish is that you had a forward facing camera sometimes you can show a split screen. When you're describing the terrain it would be awesome to get a visual. Thanks.

  • @ElcurionExodus

    i really like that forward looking cameraangle. Its great when u give instructions depending on obstacles so the viewer can understand what you guys are looking for and get behind the thoughtprocess a little better. Would like to see that angle more often in your videos! Keep up the great work and keep inspiring new pilots!

    Very cool to see something you might see in a job as a helicopter pilot. looks like a very fun type of flying, especially figuring out the fastest approach to the spot down at the end of the valley. Great to see.

    I'd love to be a helicopter pilot. I've loved fixed wing since I was a boy, but I just recently fell in love with rotorcraft ever since the hospital MedEvac'd my grandfather and seeing the utility and power these awesome machines have and being able to land in a bank's parking lot outside a tiny rural hospital. I hope MSFS adds them soon!

    • @goapebilly
      @goapebilly 5 лет назад +1

      best of my knowledge ,all robinson have the typical seat belt design, its a way to cut costs and cheaper then the 4 point seat belts, flown 22,44s never seen anything other then car type seat belts,

    So I have to ask this question...Fixed Wing Pilot Commercial/Instrument pilot with a little less than 2,000 hours logged. What is the cost to transition into Rotary Aircraft?? I've heard cost more than 70K US if your starting from 0 hours. I'm thinking of a trip up your way and see if I can arrange an introduction flight, should be an awesome experience.

    why do heli pilots wear helmets and not airplane pilots?

    • @rickb06
      @rickb06 4 года назад +1

      Because airplane crashes are usually quite violent, most helicopter crashes are tail detachments / other damage that disables the craft, but doesn't seriously injure or kill the crew.
