Dr. Sue Savage-Rumbaugh is a world famous psychologist and primatologist. For more than four decades, she worked with great apes (especially bonobos and chimpanzees) and human language, in Oklahoma, Georgia and Iowa. Among the great apes Sue raised is Kanzi whose linguistic competences made history.
Part seven (7) explores the main events of the year 2013 at the Iowa research center, and how Sue was removed from her own lab.
The Ape Testimony Project is collecting testimonies through film recordings representing aspects of the life of humans with nonhuman apes, as received and perceived by the participants. The Project is co-led by Cornell University Professors Cathy Caruth and Laurent Dubreuil.
