Sophia and Scott thank you so very much for that delightful gift of the tour! I love Victorian homes but am unable to travel do to health issues. But it’s my #1 wish to tour the country visiting museums of all kinds and enjoying thrift stores from cost to cost in a RV. (Now just got to win the lottery! 😂)
Wow!! What a beautiful home. I am live in California. As I sat and watched your video I was picturing myself living during that time period and it brought back memories when my mother and the rest of my family members gathered in the dining room and reminisce about the times when my Grandfather (who did all of the cooking), and grandmother entertained us (She was a very proper woman who carried herself well). My favorite things I loved about this beautiful home were the dresses that were on display, the kitchen, dining room, living room, and the three season porch. What a beautiful place. Thank you Sophia for sharing and inviting us to be apart of the New Jersey historical home. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 ❤!!
Wow! That staircase!! Those dresses! What a treasure that it’s all been preserved. The people who maintain and decorate that place sure work hard! Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed it.
Sophia that was spectacular! Victorian era decor and architecture is my absolute favorite and they really did it up right! Thanks for sharing the tour with us!
That really was a spectacular house - just my style. I think I may have to watch the video a few more times. Thanks for taking us along on your day trip.
Oh my gosh. That was amazing. Everything the dresses, art work, rugs, furniture, the wall of guns and the decor. Oh wow. The music that y'all two put with the video was perfect. Thank you for taking us with you. Merry Christmas.
I forgot to say. I really enjoyed hanging out with you and Scott. Getting to see other stores and what they have. I hope Scott gets a pecan pie. That is my favorite.
How thrilling and nostalgic to see Ringwood Manor again. My last visit was in the mid 1990s, in spring, when the grounds were ablaze with gorgeous daffodils. Thank you SO much for taking us to this beautiful and historic property. Brings back sweet memories of my younger years! Merry Christmas.🎄
Thank you. For the tour, not being able to travel anymore this was most enjoyable. Bet you would have liked some of that China . Have you ever been to Longwood gardens , you would love it this time of the year and at night . Merry Christmas to you and your family
You had me at Victorian Christmas! Lovely tour and your lunch looked delish! Scott's expression over dessert made me laugh out loud LOL So glad you married a man with a sense of humor. Thank you to both of you for taking us along. Hope you and yours have a blessed Christmas.
I enjoyed the trip to all the super stores! My brain is over stimulated now! So much different than Costa Rica! Commercialized to the maxed that humans can endure there! Here just a few choices all made in China and not worth the price because the quality is lacking! It was very nice to see what the big box stores have this year!
Really enjoyed this video. I was comparing your mantel decorations with the ones in the video and yours could definitely give them a run for their money!
Oh, I enjoyed that tour! Beautiful home!! I wasn’t a fan of the “Christmas table “, either. Didn’t look too Christmasy to me. Do you think really that they had that much decorations back in the day?
New Jersey’s underrated status is only a rumor when you look at home prices there! I have a friend who moved from New Jersey to California and was shocked at the lack of detail and style in the housing, gardens and furnishings. She only moved because she could no longer afford the property taxes.
The Manor House was beautiful thank you for showing us your tour. I loved the room with the glass windows. The Christmas mantle with the white frosted greenery was lovely. The skates by the fireplace were also a nice touch. I must also add that the cakes in that diner looked so nice, I wanted a slice of all of them. I can not believe how much choice you are bombarded with in your shops, the experience of going into those stores must be overwhelming at times.
I know some from Alabama claim theirs is best. That 's why I mentioned not wanting to offend anyone in the Pecan Pie world. I personally don't care for it, but it's Scott's favorite.
Haven’t been there for quite a while but they use to have beautiful gardens in summer too….I love going there….yes! from one Jersey Girl to another our State has so many hidden gems!
That was a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing. I especially loved the kitchen of course. I loved the little diner. That's my kind of place. You looked beautiful for your date day as always, Sophia.
Hi Sophia, when you say "Victorian" Christmas are you referring to Queen Victoria of England? Why do the Americans use the British royalty to refer to different eras in history. I find this quite strange. Lovely day out!!!
I believe referring to British royalty in describing eras, particularly in architecture and decor is universal/global because of the global reach of the British Empire during many centuries. I know I’ve heard Australians, Indians, and people of other regions using the same terminology. :-)
@@mygreatchallenge thank you Sophia!!! I also sometimes hear references to Georgian style architecture, fashion etc. Being British myself I find it very pleasant.

How fun! It’s good to see you guys enjoy the day! Bob and I have not done something like this in a long time, we need to start again!
Thank you for sharing the museums. it was nice seeing footage from you and scot.
Wonderful tour!!! Love Victorian things. Scott I live in Alabama & make a great pecan pie but we don't say it the way y'all do...lol lol😊
I hope you take no offense to my saying Texas makes it better than Alabama. Lol
@@mygreatchallenge Not at all BUT you haven't had mine!!
True!

That look on Scott s face at the restaurant. Made me laugh!!! Love from Texas.
What a beautiful quilt like mantel covering.
The one with the cardinals?
The joker smile and "it fell into my hands".😁😆

What a fun day! That house is beautiful…and so full of history. 😁

Around Victorian times those with money, I believe so. It calmed down a bit in the 1920s.

It is. I don't go as much as I used to. I d rather shop online.
Beautiful tour! Of course the best pecan pie is from Texas! (I’m from there but live in Australia now.) Those truffles can be so jumpy. 😂
I know some from Alabama claim theirs is best. That 's why I mentioned not wanting to offend anyone in the Pecan Pie world. I personally don't care for it, but it's Scott's favorite.
Spectacular is the word for this home. It’s absolutely amazing thank you for sharing
Merry Christmas to you and yours Sophia!

I plan on going back in the summertime. It really was a nice house.
" this fell into my hands..." LOL Sophia you made my day with that. It just fell into my hands, yeah, I believe you LOLOL
This was a beautiful tour and I've enjoyed every minute of it and I hope to see more. Have a blessed Merry Christmas and happy new year
What a very beautiful Victorian house. I will look on you tube for more peoples videos of it.
Thank you for taking me along. Loved the home, and I totally understand how the truffles fell into your hands. 😉

Thanks for taking us along! Pecan Pie - Delicious Orchards Colts Neck NJ (and their Strawberry Rhubarb!) Transplanted Jersey girl, I miss NJ so much!
Nothing better than a New Jersey diner!
Tennessee has great pie. Lol
Seguin,Texas is home of the worlds largest pecan here lol☝🏻😂
Thank you so much I enjoyed it so 🎄
Beautiful! 🎄❤️
Wow @ the pale pink tree 😍
I liked the red one in the French room best.
The pink tree was my favorite too! It was gorgeous (my favorite color is pink) so of course I loved it😍.🎀💝
I can settle the pecan pie debate. Alabama has the best pecan pie recipes .
Ah ah. I hope I did not offend you when I mentioned Alabama v. Texas.
They should hire YOU to decorate their mantles!💗
Wow! That place was huge. How many rooms were bedrooms?
Not sure. The entire upstairs I guess plus the servants quarters. I am guessing 9 bedrooms
What is the name and address of this great old house?
Ringwood Manor, Ringwood NJ
Louisiana makes a great pecan pie
That was neat

1880s to 1901. I don t know why they use that. I am guessing the reign of queen Victoria.

It did remind me of Dalton Abby.
@costumingdrama @bernadettebanner verry nice dresses you both would love in this videao
