He was able to kill the B-rank with the stealth skill, but knew he wouldn't have been able to fight his A-rank boss. After that he had the handful of solo dungeons that he did with Jinho. But yeah, there's no way he walks out of that dungeon without some very powerful people having some very big questions. The idea of him surviving the things that he already has by being lucky is already pushing the bounds of believability for some of them.
Before the Red Gate I’d put him at high A rank level. He was low A rank before the job change quest, got a few levels and inherited the Shadow Monarch’s power, so high A seems fair. After the Red Gate he’s low S rank, cause in the manga he considered himself equal to Baek Yoonho after walking out of the Red Gate and directly comparing Yoonho’s aura to his own with his perception skill. Yoonho is low S Rank in base form, mid S rank in white tiger form. Jinwoo compared himself to base Yoonho, so putting him at low S Rank seems the most accurate. Demon Castle Jinwoo is a whole other monster, though. He’s National Hunter level after completing that dungeon.

If the red gate didn't appear Dongsoo would have probably entered the dungeon and killed Jinwoo inside and not a single hunter in Korea would be able to stop him.

Maybe solo hes mid to high a rank by the beginning of season 2 becoming a low to mid teir s rank threat with his army of darkness
There are also sub tiers within each rank. The shield guy is low tier A rank and Jinwoo is high tier A rank atm. S rank is a huge jump in power. You will know once hes S rank.
Just rewatched Season 1 in prep and was again stunned by how awesome this show is, love Jinwoo all over again, his dedication to getting stronger & beating the system is inspiring....and sexy!.....BUT now that he's not solo leveling but has a "team" behind him, I can't help but wonder if it will reduce him somewhat. I also don't like this HS girl he brought along - I don't want to see him as her daddy at some point or worse, a bf. I wouldn't mind a mature romance developing (I'll control my jealousy) but I don't want to see him becoming a benevolent guru watching over some annoying kid. Feed her to the ice bears!!!
Who the hell called it “mid leveling” maybe 2 of the episodes in season 1 were meh but the rest were awesome. Also I saw the “movie” in theaters which was basically just a recap of season 1, and the first 2 episodes of season 2, and the 2nd episode is just as good as the first, I cannot wait for the rest of the season
Every anime, game, movie, or etc is going to have people that don't like it for whatever reason or who are those types who love to hate what is popular. If you like an anime, game, movie, or etc then it doesn't matter what others think of it. I for one think Solo Leveling is great.

11:20 shadow soldiers only consume mana when they are hurt and need it to regenerate so if they don’t take damage they are free to use
