Scampton uses tabletop game terms instead of gameshow/salesman terms in brackets and Jevil's original quirk of repeating words at the ends of sentences gets turned into Junkil just overall repeating stuff and glitching more and more every time he does it.
Ok so this song is a banger but... It might be the particular combo of that hairstyle, the glasses, and the jacket, but does ANYONE ELSE feel like this version of Jevil would be ready to rickroll you at any second?
I like Deltarunes Aus so much more because with undertale and underswap it was so easy to put the pieces together, switch the brothers, switch the lovers, switch the King and queen, switch the two main characters. In Deltarune there can be an argument made for multiple characters filling a single role. For example i think Jevil should be swapped with Sean while others think he should be swapped with Spamton. Its so much harder to put the pieces together but that just forces Au creators to be a bit more creative instead of giving Papyrus a Cigarette.
@@heavywalrus1443i think this specific AU is more about swapping character between chapters that share the same roles. So the two secret bosses and the two main bosses, then the light world characters get swapped the typical way (swap the siblings and the lovers)
It is heavily implied that gaster had some kind of influence over Jevil and Spamton’s perception of the reality they live in. Whether they know they’re in a game or they know that they exist in a world within a world is unknown, but they reacted to this information very differently. Jevil accepted this fact and found freedom in the premise that nothing they did really made an impact in the big picture, while Spamton felt trapped by the ordeal and searched for any hope of achieving “freedom” which is much more of a state of mind than an achievable goal. Even when Spamton got everything he wanted, he still needed more, and even if he got the human soul I doubt he would’ve ever been freed from the strings. Spamton became a puppet being guided towards an unachievable goal, and as much as the strings control him he cannot live without them. This switch making Jevil the trapped one and Spamton free is extremely well executed in the music and the artwork. Awesome.
My headcanon is that instead of being a former successful business/salesman, jevil was a former successful carnival owner. This would explain his motto or saying being "with me you can do anything!" As if that is what he'd tell people that he was attempting to recruit into his carnival, tickling their ears with promises of using their wacky attributes to make money and entertain.
I'd like to think he's more of a formerly successful TV game show host. Like his overall look makes me think he's more enthusiastic and cheerful than a carnival owner

THIS IS AWSOME! XD I only would've liked it to have been longer, something like a 20-30 second bridge. But other than leaving me wanting even more, this really captures the Deltarune/Tobey Fox tone. both the track and the artwork really drive home the "flipped roles" narrative in a way that feels bizarre but right. Even the premise sounds like something Tobey could make for a chapter or 2 of Deltarune later on.
one of my favorite parts is how repeating words glitches the text. jevil is know for repeating words (chaos, chaos), so having this as an attribute of the character design is genius in my opinion.
Spamton is about a quick trick to get your money, this guy looks like he’s gonna sell you a timeshare and have you paying him for the rest of your life
hes meant to be more convincing since junkil represents maleware while spamton is spam mail, spamton doesn't have much to bargain, he just claims to lend you freedom if you help him achive it, while junkil makes sure to gain your trust while not only promising, but giving a funky first impression junkil is "you can trust me" while spamton is "you just gotta trust me"
Wait wait wait, so you make your own awesome art, animation, _and_ music? Gooseworx is that you!? Nice job! 0:20 Also hey is that Spear of Justice? Also also "I CAN YOU CAN" feels like the perfect way to adapt Jevil's catchphrase into something a sleazy salesman with charisma would say to rope you into a deal.
@@thewinterer Oooh alright, still cool collab! Also what is the reason for Spear of Justice, if I'm correct on that? Do her motifs replace the Power of NEO motifs?
Slight touch, that I doubt even the winterer saw when designing junkil, is that while spamton’s hair slicks back, junkil’s hair is slicked forward, adding a bit more of an increase of opposites
I really like Junkil and his character! I can with to hear Scampton´s theme too, or the other swaps ´cause in the background it appears that King and Queen swaps with each other
I feel like instead of Spamton being pretty much a celebrity and being reduced to nothing, Junkil never had anything in the first place but still things he's actually a really popular guy when he's REALLY just some guy in a trash can.
this is like... instead of money scams its like those fake classes that help you get buisness or write or whatevs also, he looks like a greaser, which is amazing
I love the inclusion of Morse Code in replacement of the Telephone, since Junkil is apparently more a failed TV Presenter than a Salesman I also always wanted to incorporate Morse Code into my songs, since it's a way to say something without... _saying_ it lol, but never really got to it, so it's nice finally seeing it happen
I honestly like the swapped designs. Having spamton look like a jester really fits especially with his long nose and goofy look, while jevil looks like some sketchy guy who sells bootleg items which fits fake scam and spam emails.
hi, i just made a comment on this but in case you never see it, I translated the morse code: 0:00 pre-song is repeating "..- .." which is "UI". but it very likely could be ".... .." also, which is "HI" 0:20 repeats ".... . .-.. .-.." which is "HELL" (unfortunately, not HELLO) 0:35 ".. -.-. .- -. -.. --- .- -. -.-- - .... .. -. --." which is "I CAN DO ANYTHING", then drops in some "HI"s during the big part after that, it just repeats, more "HI", "HELL", and "I CAN DO ANYTHING" at the respective parts :)
I LOVE this! The title of the song alone is so creative since it makes perfect sense for Jevil to still use his line "I can do anything" but in a different context. Great song :D
I like how the naming of this song also reflects "NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE A" because it's his catchphrase missing the last part. Now we just need "DO ANYTHING"
Quick note: The two money symbols that fly out are dollars and yen, the US and Japan's currency respectively, which are the two countries Deltarune is aimed towards.
I love how you're talking about the US as if it's not only the only country that uses dollars as it's currency but also like it's the only English speaking country as well.
@@johncronk8867 I aint no scientist, it just popped into my mind since qing has Bbq thing goin. I like ur idea being for realistic and more based on facts, but yeah… hotsauce

I know that Spamton design, is that banger sound I've been waiting to see uploaded for MONTHS AND MONTHS finally gonna see the light of day soon? I sure hope so! This song is a banger too!
I like you can barely trust junkil just like spamton he comes off as to cheery like he wants something out of you that not even you knew you can give him
I always thought junkil could be a game of solitaire on your computer that isn’t compatible with newer tech so it’s trying to upgrade its software, thus being souliter restored (the name is souliter) and I’ll use it for my own au where instead of being swapped in chapters, the chapters collide, thus making a ✨super chapter✨, because scampton is spamton + jevil lore and junkil is jevil + Spamton lore, where as souliter is jevil + spamton + new lore, so yeah 👍
Not that I don't absolutely LOVE his design, but I hope during the finer tune ups of these (inevitable) chapters that will be made, his design is tattered up a bit to fit the more "fallen off" salesman, because in this? He doesn't look like a crazy dumpster guy who wants to steal your soul! He looks like a loan shark you would get a beer with! I dunno, I LOVE his design, and it wouldn't kill me if they didn't change it, but maybe a cracked lens on the glasses or some scuff on the suit would be a nice touch.
This sounds like a song my character (who is in NO WAY associated with deltarune): Viro would sing, he's a sadistic malware disguised as an online shopping app with Junkil's EXACT personality, aside from the random repeats of words, glitches, and even trying to act nice

Spamton is about a quick trick to get your money, this guy looks like he’s gonna sell you a timeshare and have you paying him for the rest of your life
hes meant to be more convincing since junkil represents maleware while spamton is spam mail, spamton doesn't have much to bargain, he just claims to lend you freedom if you help him achive it, while junkil makes sure to gain your trust while not only promising, but giving a funky first impression
junkil is "you can trust me" while spamton is "you just gotta trust me"

You combined both of my favorite deltarune characters into one character. You are a genius
Jevil becamed one of the best rated salesclown since yesterday!
Thank you! but I didn't make the music, TaeSkull did
@@thewinterer Oooh alright, still cool collab! Also what is the reason for Spear of Justice, if I'm correct on that? Do her motifs replace the Power of NEO motifs?
@COSMETIC WAVE ty
Great design I rate it a solid 4/3

@@SoulCore413 lol they removed those nigga
Ok, I am legitemetly in LOVE with this idea of personnality swapping !!!
Also, the song is a banger
this is like... instead of money scams its like those fake classes that help you get buisness or write or whatevs
also, he looks like a greaser, which is amazing
its clever that everytime there is vocals junkil just opens his mouth
Jevil having Z̴̪̉a̴̬͒l̶̫͂g̶̬͊ơ̴͜ text is a genius idea
I love the inclusion of Morse Code in replacement of the Telephone, since Junkil is apparently more a failed TV Presenter than a Salesman
I also always wanted to incorporate Morse Code into my songs, since it's a way to say something without...
Listening to this while looking at colleges, why does it fit so well
Genuinely curious if the morse code translates to anything
This is such a banger tho i love it
hi, i just made a comment on this but in case you never see it, I translated the morse code:
0:00 pre-song is repeating "..- .." which is "UI". but it very likely could be ".... .." also, which is "HI"
0:20 repeats ".... . .-.. .-.." which is "HELL" (unfortunately, not HELLO)
0:35 ".. -.-. .- -. -.. --- .- -. -.-- - .... .. -. --." which is "I CAN DO ANYTHING", then drops in some "HI"s during the big part
after that, it just repeats, more "HI", "HELL", and "I CAN DO ANYTHING" at the respective parts :)
@@cryo7847 God that's cool!
pretty sure the hell thing is sell
@@FissionFishing No yeah, it's definitely Sell.
Normally I would know how to portray myself but you've gone past what I could do. Congratulations to you my friend, friend
i wonder if the big shot song is gonna be called "with me you can do anything!" or if it's gonna be called "we can do anything!"
I think it would be called "DO ANYTHING: because thats what seems to come after "I CAN YOU CAN"
thats exactly what i was thinking before i saw this comment
@@bottleofsyrup9916 thats why they said "we can do anything!"
Nope :(
I LOVE this! The title of the song alone is so creative since it makes perfect sense for Jevil to still use his line "I can do anything" but in a different context. Great song :D
Junkil: *WITH ME YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. I CAN, YOU CAN, WE CAN DO ANYTHING!*
The tail being a dollar sign is a clever detail, I like it.
I like how Jevil looks like a sleezy used cars salesman who’ll sell you a busted up pickup truck that can only go at a speed limit of 15 mph
Fascinating voice. For some reason it makes me think of Dragon Tales. Maybe its partially unlocked A memory of a character with a similar voice.
using headphones for some reason makes a kind of "echo effect" what makes it feel like you actually are in this dudes alleyway.
the power of 3d sound!
The floating money signs make me think he fights like Jevil but summons money symbols instead of card suits.
I like how the naming of this song also reflects "NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE A" because it's his catchphrase missing the last part. Now we just need "DO ANYTHING"
i can you can we can- battle against the world
Yes
unfortunately, they did not get the memo, and named the other one BATTLE AGAINST THE WORLD
Quick note: The two money symbols that fly out are dollars and yen, the US and Japan's currency respectively, which are the two countries Deltarune is aimed towards.
I love how you're talking about the US as if it's not only the only country that uses dollars as it's currency but also like it's the only English speaking country as well.
@@Swarps when did they say anything about languages
@@the-eq5vh The two languages Deltarune was released in are English and Japanese so I assume that was what they meant when they said "aimed towards"
So if Spamton was dropped in acid… that means Junkil got dropped in… *hot sauce*
Or lava
@@theladiescallmesona Hmm... I wonder if that could serve as an explanation for him being a little devil

Or industrial cleaner. There’s no functional difference between something with a high acidity and a high base, except for what neutralizes it.

That thumbnail is promising, sweet design !
"for with God, nothing shall be impossible"
Love how it shows yen instead of US dollars, since half jevils voice lines is just him speaking Japanese
Imma stick by this AU, seems like the ideas of AUs are starting to come back from Undertale
It shows both yen and us dollars.

wow crazy to see this finished, i saw this a while while back on instagram and i asked for the spamton version. really cool!
I love the details you added in here. The Undyne leitmotifs are my favorite part considering how much Mettaton is referenced in Spamton
I know that Spamton design, is that banger sound I've been waiting to see uploaded for MONTHS AND MONTHS finally gonna see the light of day soon? I sure hope so! This song is a banger too!
First time seeing this and I absolutely am obsessed with this idea!!! Looks so cool!
Has anyone noted that when his eyes go crazy, they resemble wifi/radio waves?
I love how much detail and attention to detail there is in this song!
Like how spamton references Mtt neo so the reverse is Undnye
my brain seeing jevil's tail thing as a money sign " CAPITALISMMMM!! "
I like you can barely trust junkil just like spamton he comes off as to cheery like he wants something out of you that not even you knew you can give him
Huh.. I wonder which one goes Neo.. Junkil would make sense as deep as the swap goes, but Scampton would be really fun to see in that alt design..
With me, you can do anything!
I can-- You can do anything!
My first impression of this guy is giving me HEAVY beetlejuice vibes and I love it
What is beetle juice
@@WolfyRed don't say his name another two times
The chord progression is like nothing else 😊
This song has such a bounce to it and i cant explain it
he has vibes
i like his vibes
"im homeless but i still got this fly suit ya wanna see it please help me"
hey lube
It’d be interesting to see Jevil’s view of the world being just a game applied to a more active role
I’m excited to see Qing and Kueen, if that’s the correct names!
She's name is Que.

This sounds like a song my character (who is in NO WAY associated with deltarune): Viro would sing, he's a sadistic malware disguised as an online shopping app with Junkil's EXACT personality, aside from the random repeats of words, glitches, and even trying to act nice
GUYS I FIGURED OUT THE MORSE CODE(it took me a long time but it was worth is LOL) at 0:22 the morse code just repeatedly spells out “HELL” which in morse code is …././.-../.-.. (using the slash as spaces), and then past that at 0:36 in the song it spells out “I CAN DO ANYTHING” which is awesome, this in morse code btw is ../-.-./.-/-./-../---/.-/-./-.--/-/..../../-./--. (again using slashes for spaces) but what I find absolutely priceless and making this well worth my time is the fact that after spelling out “I CAN DO ANYTHING” there are two more letters spelling out “BS” (-.../... ) clearly standing for Bullsh*t, which is almost I feel like someone poking fun at Jevil saying he cant do anythingwhich is the most hilarious secret message ever concieved. Anyways, thought yall should know bc I was personally very curious about this for a long time until I sat down to translate it. Hope I eased all the minds wondering what that morse code was about LOL! Have a great day
EDIT: I also just noticed that in the section between 0:06 and 0:22 the morse code spells out “HI” (…./..) 😂Damn the winterer is way too good with details
