When you (and oddly enough Terry Erasmus) started talking Pierneef style, I was skeptical of making a tree look like a painting. Daggum, was I wrong. You’re the MAN, Nigel. I’m diggin it!
Looks good Nigel. BTW, My personal opinion is that the thinner topped cedar display pedestal will be more appropriate for this Bonsai. It has a finer touch that the walnut stand does not. Again just an opinion. You can never fault the work of a guy that owns a turquoise Edsel! Hahaha Cheers Nigel. I enjoy your vlogs.
I am enjoying the meticulous preparation for the show. I agree the baseball diamond turfus will make a terrifically realistic texture for the african soil. I'm envisionong moss bushes with reddish brown bases for th bushes but I have no idea how i'd accomplish that!
When using the blue scissors do you make sure not to partially cut leaves like a shrub or hedge? Or do you go back in with the smaller scissors for that? Specifically asking for prepping for a showing. Thanks
My juniper I have worked on for 3 years now died a few weeks ago after only a few days without water. It has always been so strong before during droughts so idk what different happened this time! It is surely heartbreaking though
If I was wanting to do an acacia bonsai from the Middle East, the ones that are referred to in the Bible. What subspecies am I looking for? There seems to be a whole lot of acacia.....
this is one of my favorite bonsais, greatest serissa
That tree is absolutely to die for! I love that branch structure, how it shows. Beauty!
Its crazy how a puny cutting can become a small tree in 29 years. Nigel your patience is something I admire and wish I can develop.
It's looking very mature, barking up right out on the branches, nice ramification, lovely movement. Great tree Nigel
Then watching your channel for years and have to say you're serissa is by far hands down my favorite tree that you have

That por really accentuates the tree Nigel. Love it!

Wonder how the nest pine is doing, is it show worthy Sir Nigel?
I'd be scared to cut through leaves with the big scissors... but your result looks good! I can't wait to see it when everything is done :)

This is one of favorite one too and not to fuzzy this year?
I like the golden pot
Hi Nigel! Is it too late to repot juniper?

Have you ever watched the wild thornberries?
Is this a common myrtle ?
Whaaaat dont sell it. I got No Money. T_T This tree made me find Out about your channel. I was nice to see the progression.
Same.hair as your tree . 👍
I think you need a profile pruning of your hairs with the large Blue scissors.
Man with no haircut (i like it tho, I have similar hair) gives his pet plant a cut.

I thought you would use your Martian soil...👨🔬🌋☄
