We have a Messianic Jewish man in our church and blows the shofar each Sunday before the service.
I AM AN OVERCOMER ohhhhhhh where is ur ministry, I listen to the shofar in the mornings or if I feel I am being defeated in any situation . Or just Learning the sounds and meaning.. happy new year 5780. SHALOM

@@MyJewishMommyLife and to you and yours. My babies are grown up. We have more Catholics in our families than Jews- I have a multi-purpose shrine and am not into organized religion..but since my mother died in 2018, I have a desire to go return to my roots even if only for tonight. ~~I am a Jew, and always will be in my heart. I am a solitary practitioner- On another note- I have a question- I thought it was respectful to write G-d instead of God & was told that unless we are a rabbi , that we have no rights to that.

Deep thanks and gratitude. I am traumatized and staying home way too much and my Mom is in a nursing home in really bad shape but I was able to show her your RUclips via video streaming on an app and I feel like you uplifted both of us! Thanks again sooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!

Shana Tova this Rosh Hashanah Jewish moms! I enjoyed this informative video very much.
Thank you so much!
I so enjoy your content!! Thanks for posting!
Aww I love to hear that, thank you!!
Marion! I loved the shofar facts. P.s. as a mom to young kiddos, I also love taking advantage of streaming. Such a 21st century luxury! And I get to hear all the sermons without having to mind my wiggle worms. When they’re a tad older we’ll start attending the adult services again. Beautiful shofar, btw!
Aww thanks so much!! So nice to know I'm not the only one sitting alone watching lol!
My Jewish Mommy Life all the smart mommies are doing it! Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
My shul always has separate services for kids too young for adult services, you might have a shul near you who do this as well, in case you miss the physical service.
Kas P. We attend all the kids services for sure (I’ll have a video up on my high holidays logistics) and I know Marion does too. But if you want to hear the fancier music and the adult sermons, it’s worth streaming those. I always love em!
@@LittleKosherLunch Oh! My shul has the school teachers stay with the kids (kind of like babysitting) and so if you RSVP you can attend the adult services while the kids play and have their own mini service! I don't have children but its great for those who do! And we always thank the teachers for doing that for the parents.
Hi Marion! Do you have a video about the simanim on rosh hashana?
Love your videos and wish you and your family Shana tova :)
Cool!
Hey Marion, great video! Thanks for sharing! I have a similar video uploading tomorrow (as long as everyone goes to bed on time lol, still have some editing). To add to the list of Rosh Hashanahs on the calendar, we celebrate a Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus and chassidic philosophy on the 19th of the month of Kislev! Love your outlook on sin. So important to remember it's not about sin, but about being human! :)
Oh yay I can't wait to see your video and so glad to hear that you liked mine!
Love all your videos
As i remember.. another reason for new things in the new fruits is because we use to say 'shehecheyanu' on the kiddush of the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah. So having a new fruit is a way to make sure that if the 'shehecheyanu' is not really needed to be said about the second day, it will be for the new fruit..
It's kind of backup because we are not sure that 'shehecheyanu' is needed on the 2nd day
My youngest daughter was born on the 8th day of Hanukah.
And don't look beyond the mark:)
Thanks for your videos:)
Thank you! Shana Tova! ✡️
I am a follower of Jeshua. Jesus Christ. I am not Jewish but he was and I believe the Jewish ways are very sacred and very meaningful. I believe I am more on Gids Calendar than the Babylonian or worldly Calendar.
You are ver precious. Thank you and God bless you.
Thank you so much for watching!
I am a Spirit filled born again believer, but since my Messiah was Jewish I am very interested in how holidays were celebrated in His time. Thank you for your lovely videos, and your new kitchen is absolutely beautiful! It's exactly how I would like mine one day 🥰 God's blessings on you and happy holiday 💝
Glad to be helpful for you! Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much!! Shanah Tovah!!
Shana Tova Marion. Two of the facts that surprised me the most about Rosh Hashanah were that their are actually four New Years in the Jewish Calendar, I did not know about that. The other fact was how Rosh Hashanah services can be streamed online, I found that very interesting( we live in such a modern world). I wish you many blessings for this upcoming Rosh Hashanah and that your name may be written in the book of life
Shana tovah! I'm so glad that I chose some facts that you found interesting!! I wish you all the very best for the year to come and a sweet healthy happy new year!

I wonder if you could let me know if the trumpets are blown at the beginning of the feast or at the end? Wishing you Shanah Tovah xx hope I said that right xx All God’s blessings for you and your family xx

Hi there.. just want to ask which travel magazine do most of the jewish people read?
Shana Tova, Marion! I am so looking forward to the high holidays.
Thank you so much!! Shana tova to you too!
Joe Bon Shana Tova!
@@PinkHawk191 Shana Tova!
I liked this video, but the part where sin is downplayed I didn't like. Sin is very important and recognizing it is also very important. Not in a legalistic manor but in a way to allow the Holy Spirit to convict us to the point of true repentance. :) I'm excited to celebrate this this year as a new Christian and encourage all 'Gentile' Christians to bring back more of these traditions that help us glorify God and become closer to Him! Thank you so much for sharing this! It was really helpful!
well i guess that’s because you’re looking from a christian perspective, jewish people have a different outlook generally
@@Lydia-zj2vl What is Torah's outlook?
Shana Tovah! These Holy Days of reflection are a time to reset and learn to know thyself and improve upon it. After Yom Kippur, I recommend reading "Revelations On Interstellar Highway 10". Shalom.
Thanks for sharing. :) So when did Judaism stop using the term sin? Don't the Scriptures imply that missing the mark morally equals sin?
Judaism still uses "sin" in the liturgy. There is a particular prayer asking for forgiveness for a list of sins, e.g. "for the sin of xenophobia".
Shana Tova! 🍎 🍯 🐟 from a fellow Jew
Shanah tovah to you too!
hi not jewish but was wondering if you could answer this? why is some pastors telling us that we must give a rosh hashanah offering? Not sure if this is true or not. thank you for your help.
Lori
We celebrated Rosh Hashanah Sunday in our church. Because we support Israel. If your pastor is asking for an offering & you don't feel lead by the Holy Spirit , then don't give. Tithing ( 10 %) & giving is biblical . God is looking for you to trust Him - He don't need money. I know that since I tithed God has always provided for me.
