1ST GAME : The Pampanga Giant Lanterns matched Caloocan's strong start in Game 2 before Encho Serrano took over in the final period as they swept the Batang Kankaloo with a 93-77 win in Game 2.
Expecting a big fightback from Caloocan, the Giant Lanterns absorbed the early blows and countered with a few of their own, not allowing the Batang Kankaloo to grab control of the matchup.
Any hope of a deciding game was snuffed out when Serrano provided the big plays in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
2ND GAME : Michael Calisaan saved his best game of the season for the most important one.
With Nueva Ecija determined to send the series into a deciding game, the Knights big man exploded for 30 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in an outstanding performance that propelled San Juan to an 88-80 win in Game 2 in Palayan City.
The Knights found an answer with every Rice Vanguards' run in the second and got clutch baskets from Calisaan and Marwin Taywan in completing a 2-0 series win over the 2022 champions.
