Awesome! As always My wife is also from the Philippines, Siaton in Negros Oriental she Heard your comment on your wife's cooking and replied you are making her look bad LOL She is learning yk cook now at 30+ a little and getting better so thanks for the recipe
🤪 My wife has about 40 years on her!! She'll get there! When we first got married, her cooking skills were limited. Now retired 5 years, she's been perfecting both her Mother's & other recipes.
Brilliant idea, I have handwritten recipe for oxtail soup from my late father. We always had this soup at Xmas, gonna print his recipe as a gift to all his grandchildren.
Thank you for the recipe, I'm excited to try it out! As always, this was another great tutorial on something I was trying to do with my grandma's handwritten recipes. Thank you so much for the video!!
A member in my local club has these all around the backsplash in her kitchen hung with Command strips. She pulls them off the tile when she cooks and then puts them back up when done. The Command strips have Velcro.
Thanks to both you and your wife for the recipe. I hope I can do it justice when I have a go at making it. I may struggle a little with some of the ingredients as I'm in the UK, but we shall see. Incidentally (I'm new to Lightburn) I spent ages building an art library (not sure what the ordinary library is for yet). Decided that I didn't like the way the windows were arranged and remembered something about resetting it back to default. I did that before attempting to load the recipe and guess what? My entire art library has vanished! My fault completely, doing something I didn't fully understand. I did put most of them into a file but when I select them all and import them, they land on the grid in one big mess instead of into the library. Is there a faster way or do I have to import one at a time and then move them from the grid into the library? Ian
Art Library is for art, Library is for material settings for engraving and cutting. Click, Window --> Art Library and by magic and sorcery, it will reappear! 🤪 Search my channel for library to learn more.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy "by magic and sorcery, it will reappear!" 🤣 Yeah I did that but now the library is completely empty. I'll find that video and see if that issue is addressed before having a complete meltdown. Thanks.
Great video! This is what we want to do with some of my mother-in-law's recipes she left. What can we do if they were written on recipe pages/notecards that were pre-lined? How do we get rid of the lines?
Before I saw this, I was going to put our recipe for Pumpkin Bread on a cutting board. This will help with the conversion. The card it is written on is old and may not copy very well. If not I will use some script font and type it in. What did you use to put finish on? Clear Coat?
Hi, you'r getting a new fan from Portugal, great videos, thank you for all the info you pass in your channel, very usefull for a newbie like me. I have One question if you could help me, i have 10w diode laser, Im using the lightburn first free month, i want to buy the license, is the gcode license enough? Thank you. Dont ever stop making these videos, please.
Was wondering if you couls answer a question. In the updated version of Lightburn, my color palate will not show up on the side like it used to. How do i dix that
Im always learning watching your videos. I have a question for you. If I were to type the menu onto lightburn how would I keep the left side of the page lined up. I saw a video of how to do this but now cant find it.
The justify setting icons are in the advanced toolbar menu. Click Window, and then take the check mark out of Arrange. Then click it again and put a check mark in the Arrange (long).
I just got the Mk2 Carl. The one I had was the *Beta version,* with a different laser module, so I couldn't create a library for it. But now I have the final version, and I'm making a combined 10-20W library. I have about 15 materials done so far (x2, 10 & 20W), and the are probably 15 more to go. So that's around 30 materials total, or 60 categories with both powers, then add all the sub categories, like vectors, multiple image modes, cut settings, etc. And then when it's finally done, I have to repeat all the tests to verify the settings. The 10W library was _three months in the making._ This dual library will probably be around the same. I'm guessing somewhere around Christmas will be the V1 release. Then after that will come the 10/20/30W combined library. _I learned a lot from the 10W library,_ and there will be a lot more and better settings in this one.
I assume Leo will not be giving out that database as he/you did with the original so will be looking to subscribing for the new one when you get it done. Hard work is much appreciated. Some reoccurring back problems keep me from the Lightburn conference. Hope the LMR guys have a good time. Are you going to do a brief on any news from Lightburn? I get my 10/20 delivered today...expected.
No Carl, Leo can't give it out because I'm still working on it. And yes, we will have a portable studio to be able to stream live from the convention floor.
Hi Rich, FYI your bride forgot to add the 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese to the mixture (when putting things together) before baking! Is not in the instruction! however, not hard to figuired out. Thanks for the project!
the problem I have is my grandmothers recipes were on a lined index card and when I ungroup, the lines intersect with the words and wont ungroup. I am able to clean up some of the lines though. Thanks for the tutorials though.
I already have a couple of other recipes in the new playlist from older videos.
I learn something new every time I watch your video. Inserting nodes? Huge tool!
Glad to hear that! Node editing is one of the best features in Lightburn.

So nice of you Joe; thanks!
Also thank you for the Roly RM10 settings files. I have used them with my LM10 dozens of times already with NEVER a miss. Always spot on!
Great to hear it!

Just got my laser and learning. Love your videos
Awesome! Thank you!
thank you rich for this beautiful recipe, my mouth is already watering. All I have to do is translate it into Dutch so I know which and what.
I hope it translates properly!
As always Rich, great video! THANK YOU!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for another great video and learning experience.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video and I love working with Cedar as well. Such a pretty wood.
It sure is!
Rich, thank you for the project AND recipe! Have lots of family recipes that I could do this with!

Thanks Rich! Mac and cheese is one of my favourite dishes! 👍
Hope you try it! There's nothing like this one!
Think I'm going to make this recipe for my kids this weekend! Enjoy LRX Rich!
Please do Andy! They're going to love it! I'll be streaming from LBX.
Thanks Rich, another great video and a yummy recipe to go with it, much appreciated.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks, Rich, gor another learning experience. I'm intimidated by the trace feature and this was helpful.
Glad it was helpful Maggie!

When an art library is empty, it means the location of the .lbart file on your drive has changed.

Thanks Rich, I placed a order for the cedar here. I also love Mac & Chesse.
If you make it, they will come! 🤪

As a third generation Sicilian, I would LOVE to see your wife's meatball recipe!
Coming soon! Probably the 27th or 28th!
Have you completed the Material Library for the Lasermatic 10/20?
Not yet. Still working on the 10/20/30W

Yep, it sure can!

How do you email out of lightburn?
Like a picture or a file
If you wanted to email someone something so they can look at it?
On the preview tab, click Save Image.

Can you get rid of lines from handwritten recipes on lightburn too? If so how
Yes you can, by tracing and ungrouping. Then you would need to node edit some of them.
Thank you
You're welcome
Hey what part of La are you in? Im in Ponchatoula across the Lake from NOLA sort of equi distance between NOLA and EBR
New Orleans area.
hu... the Luisiana land outline looks like a hand holding a cigarett :)
🤪 Thanks for watching!

Lines, stains and other anomalies are part of what makes them authentic! Older recipes I like to date as well.
What size is the honeycomb bed?
400x400
Just wondering how do you finish your wood all my stuff turns a yellowish color
Try this: amzn.to/3tGAp6R 3 coats gives you a clear mirror finish.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Thanks Rich
Just a thought.. should have lowered the engraving and cut off the ragged edge on the top.
I square the edges at a 45° angle with a plane Jeff in post.
