Parafoils are my favorites. No setup. Usually well made. Compact storage. Easily transportable. Good fliers. The only draw-back is their instability. Which can typically be addressed with a suitable tail or drogue. This was a good video, as usual. Thanks, Bro.
Yes, parafoils are great, and the UltraFoils are among the best of them. I'm happy to know that you still enjoy the videos after all these years. Thanks for watching!
Our spring winds are all over the place, Glenn, and it will be a while before things settle down. I hope we get a few more stable breezes from time to time, anyway. I'll look forward to seeing your video.
As you know, Carl, the UltraFoils are among my favourite kites, and the 30 especially is probably my most-flown kite. They were an ideal choice on this windy day. See you soon!
I bet it was hard to pull those foils in, once finished. The wind seemed quite generous there; perfect for spinners! Thank you for the effort and great video!
Bigger bowls are very hard to lift with a kite, and better anchored on the ground, but this one is quite small (1.2m) and does not have as much pull as most others. I'm happy that you enjoyed the video.
Sad that the UltraFoils are no longer available. Good to see them in the air. Those spinning bowls can pull like a truck (especially the larger ones). Got to spend a week at the beach with my family and had 10+ kites up in the air on several days. You may enjoy this video! ruclips.net/video/lTwPdsVduSI/видео.htmlsi=kBC1PrhN8kOcPQe5
Craig, I don't know where you are or what size bowl you want or how much you are prepared to spend. However, the best selection I know of at the moment is here: www.metropolis-drachen.de/en/Kites/Line-laundry/Bols/ . There are plenty available also on AliExpress, including some very big ones, and no doubt plenty of others elsewhere that I'm not aware of as I don't take much notice these days of what's around as I'm not buying anything anymore (with rare exceptions).
That's a hard question, and depends how much money you want to spend. The Killip Foils are good, but expensive, and I have only the smallest 10 size. The Premier Power Sleds in 24 and 36 sizes would be my recommendation, I think - well-made kites, and very reliable fliers that are excellent lifters.
Yes, but the kites are foldable and as easy to transport as the foils, with no assembly needed. The spars remain in the kites, so there is no need to "deal with frames" The closest foils to the UltraFoils are the Killip range as I mentioned - a lot more money! There are also the 1.6 and 3.0 KAP Foils from HQ Kites, very well made kites. I sold my 3.0 as I preferred the UltraFoil, but it's a good kite.
A wonderful spinny day. The music is great too. Love these, Jim.
Thank you. I was happy to find a piece of music that suited the video well.

Hurray for 2,142! Absolutely fantastic!! Thanks, Jim.
Thanks for your interest, Richard!
Loves the intro
Cool music & fly kites❤
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Juliana.
I am surprised gusty wind is coming off the water, Jim. I plan to do a video in future inspired by Brasington's kite and bol anchoring.

A great family outing with the foils. All those spinners looked fun to watch.

Wow Jim...alot of hard work to make a fine and fun display...enjoyed it all...thank you for sharing...another great video.
You're very welcome, Craig.
Nice video Jim. Looked like a perfect day.. The flower was amazing. Spring has really arrived. I wish the Ultra was available. Thanks Jim!
The wind was too gusty to make it a perfect day, Dewey, but a good day, certainly. Yes, it's a great pity that the UltraFoils are gone.
I bet it was hard to pull those foils in, once finished. The wind seemed quite generous there; perfect for spinners! Thank you for the effort and great video!
It was quite a strong breeze, but I'm used to handling those kites in such conditions so it wasn't a great problem. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Always nice to see you post!
Thank you, Evan, and I'll try to keep them coming for a while longer.
Very stable ultrafoil kites, beautiful wind socks and line laundry, sometimes more expensive than kites. But they all look fun awesome.🎉
They are very good kites, and I'm happy to have them.
Great fly today Jim. Thanks, Ron
Thanks for watching, Ron!
Fantastic Video. Good music , too.😀
Many thanks! I tried to find music that suited the video, and I think it worked.
I also enjoy flying spinners. I will also try lifting my bowl with my strongest kite. So far lifting bowls did not work out for me...
Great video!

Good morning sir 🌄 And good kites ❤
Thank you for watching, Vikram.
That looked like there was a good blow on. Great job!
It was fairly windy, Bill, hence my choice of those kites, which are pretty good in almost any conditions. Sad that they've disappeared.

Glad to hear that you had some beach time, Jim. You can't beat those ocean breezes!

What are the typical go-to replacements for the Ultrafoils?

@@JimNicholls don't the power sleds have spars? What about the options you have if you don't want to deal with frames?

@@JimNicholls I recommend the Power Sled 24 and also the KAP Foil.
