My personal opinion is that Edelgard and Dimitri and Claude are all good people at heart but need professors guidance. Edelgard on her route is a lot less aggressive. And Dimitri redeems himself and Claude takes out TWSITD. Maybe you should stop and think “oh maybe my opinion is biased because of the first route I played.” It might help you see everyone’s point of view instead of being headstrong and aggressive towards a fictional character. If you think Edelgard is arrogant or cold or heartless then you missed the point of her character.
